Pros: Much less expensive than TeamViewer or LogMeIn Rescue. Easy to sort lists of computers, for example, by customer. Good feature set.

Cons: Mac support needs a little bit of work. I have trouble connecting to Mac hosts from my Windows 10 laptop, although support for Windows hosts is superb.

Overall: Better customer satisfaction! I don't have to go to their location to fix their problems.

When it clears a users background it can confuse the user

Pros: Very easy to use, lightweight, and functional. It is very reasonably priced and it is easy to navigate users to the site.

Cons: Not a lot of information is given to the user after they are connected, especially with the unattended access. A 5 second warning should be given saying that "Admin is connecting to your PC in 5. . .4 . . 3."

Pros: ConnectWise offers many of the same features as other remote support products however the pricing of ConnectWise is much more competitive. The 3-user free version is great to get started and test the features.

Cons: It would be most helpful if the lower end packages included Wake-on-LAN and Host Chat. These two basic features should, in my opinion, be included in all the packages.

Pros: Quality of performance including performance in low bandwidth conduction and administrative power including without needed to open a session.

Cons: Pop-Ups at the tech level asking me to take surveys. When client enters a code in to the web portal they can not just hit the enter key but need to click the arrow.

It would also be very nice if the client who was email a remote support link or clicks a link was able to run the program easier. It is very easy as it is but when dealing with the kind of people who needs support this can always be improved since we usually spend longer getting the software installed than using to fix client issues.

Overall: Easy of use, an affordable price extream reliability and great info on client machines without needing to log in

Pros: The connectwise software is very simple to use. It gives a good deal of flexibility and control to the user, allowing me to easily setup an account for a sales member so they can do a screen sharing session. I've also never had any problems with clients connecting as it is simple to follow the instructions to run.

Pros: Being able to remotely connect to computers without getting an access code has been amazing. We've used other software in the past but this one has it all. You can easily screenshot or send files over and this has made our FTP moot. I wouldn't want to switch back to the other companies because of the features.

Cons: They need a better mobile app. It works and we barely use it because we connect from our laptops but the app isn't as flexible as the website and could use an update. Again, if your using this from a computer, it works beautifully.

Overall: Being able to connect to clients computers after hours without someone needing to be at the office to give us a code. Being able to have all of our clients computers connected without having to switch them because we don't have enough licenses.

Worked from the first day we started. Easy to use.

Pros: The ease of use, ability to easily manage our Remote Agents all over the US and EMEA. Simple interface provides all of the tools needed to manage remote PC's. It works all of the time, minus the below time for a single client.

Cons: Glitches happen, so when our IP had to change due to a Primary and Secondary IP issue on their Cloud, caused an IP address change. For most of our assessment deployments, this would not be an issue. But one client had Firewall rules to allow outbound HTTPS access...So of course this caused an issue for us, for a couple of days as the client had to go through an approval process to make the rule change for the new set of IP addresses.

This has allowed me to help clients all over the state without leaving my office.

Pros: It's speed is wonderful even for those clients who don't have the best internet connection. The ability for a remote user to install quickly, has helped out so much. They know they will be helped very shortly.

Cons: I wish there was an installed application that they did not have to go through an install each time. I know I can set it up where I can take over but the fact that you can see screen shots of what they are doing is not good for those users who work on confidential information.

Pros: Control delivers the easiest method to deploy agents, and remotely get access to systems. The agent runs light and smooth, with little impact on user function, which makes it ideal for workstation remote troubleshooting. The tools included are feature rich and sometimes allow you to troubleshoot problems without accessing the desktop.

Cons: Have not had any bad experiences with this product that weren't of our own doing. There can be some latency issues on less than fast connections, but that is to be expected with RMM software.

Overall: Easy access and timely connections to client systems to troubleshooting and diagnose issues and errors.

Pros: Constantly rolling out new features. I like the ability to use client via mobile device and also the ease of setting up unattended machines.

Cons: Interface is lacking. My biggest complaint is there is no real desktop client, just an applet for technicians. Multiple sessions open in all different windows. I would prefer one window with sessions in panes. This is what LogMeIn Rescue had.

Pros: Performance / Speed; Audit Trail; Ease of use for end users; and Functionality (specifically low resolution mode for poor connections and support for multiple displays). Can only count on one hand the times I have not been able to establish a connection.

Pros: Simplicity, Reliability and price point! It does not contain some of the peripheral functionality and asset management functions of some other solutions, but what it does do, it does very well.

Pros: The ease of connection from desktop or mobile client, being able to copy and paste files and text from local to remote machines just like from one app to another, there are many great features but I only use a few. I need to be able to access my end user clients' computers quickly and from anyplace. I also need to be able to install this client on a large number of computers, but only be connected to one or two at a time. LogMeIn charges by the number of computers, which makes my situation far more expensive there.

Cons: This would be a great free program, but with the per-technician pricing it is the best deal on the market.

Pros: Very easy to use. I really like the online landing page that I can send clients to and how I can generate a code for them or that they can make their own session. I like the cross platform compatibility and the reporting tools from within the software. Also like the build tool to create unattended access on machines that need it.

Software is very fast, I've rarely ever had an issue with speed. When I do, the issue is usually bandwidth related with the client on the other side of the connection which is clearly not something you guys can do something about.

I really like that the software is all cloud run though if you choose that route.

Cons: There are a couple of things I'd really like to change. I wish there was a standalone desktop client like teamviewer. I used that a lot and don't like to have to continue to navigate back to the online portal. I liked just keeping my desktop application open all day and referencing back to that when needed.

I wish the Mac interface was a little more built out as well. I am constantly amazed with the difference in the amount of tools available to the Windows client opposed to the mac. I understand that most computers being support are windows based, but still mac is very relevant with many clients I work with.

Also, the ability to customize the interface, while extensive, is not intuitive. It take a long time to locate the one item you are trying to change such as the logo in the top right corner and then requires a program like photoshop to design to specs required by software.

I wish there was a way to update the software / administer the software from the frontend portal instead of having to go to a different portal to update / make changes to billing information and such.

Overall: Was much cheaper than teamviewer for better features in most case. I also really like that you guys offer flexible billing terms such as month to month billing that teamviewer does not offer.

I have used a few programs, and Control is the best and easiest.

Pros: The price point is right. Compared to other remote support software, our yearly cost on just a couple of agents was about half of what we would have paid for similar software. The key for us was screen connect included unlimited client computers. We are a small team that only occasionally need to remotely access pcs without end user intervention. We didn't want to pay licensing for each and every client computer. Screen connect delivered. The interface is clean. Support sessions are fast. Computers can be organized by organization. MSI files can be generated on the fly, so deploy is a snap. We love it.

Cons: I wish it offered remote support of mobile devices (android and iOS). This was not a feature that it had when we signed up.

Overall: We dramatically improved our ability to support our end users by using ConnectWise. The software is easy to use, high quality, fast, and just works. We highly recommend it.

Pros: Everything. I use Connectwise Control to remotely manage computers in a variety of locations across the company. I started out with a more popular and common brand of remote software and keeping it deployed, running, and configured correctly on over a dozen computers was nearly impossible. One of our security experts recommended Connectwise, and it was the perfect solution. I can see a snapshot of every computer in the company, connect to any of them instantly from one dashboard, and perform all sorts of operations. Deploying the client is as simple as emailing my managers a file and having them click on it, and I have never had issues with the clients once they are deployed. A fantastic remote system.

Cons: I would love to see further development on mobile control solutions. It exists now, I would just like to see it become even more robust.

Overall: It is simply the exact solution I was looking for. It's what makes my entire job possible, managing over a dozen computers in separate locations all across the company. I've had zero issues with deployment or my daily use, and I never have issues with the clients failing, settings being changed, etc. It lets the client side user know that I've taken control, but it allows them to do very little other than that. That means I can keep tabs on these systems and always be sure they are secure.

After years of being ripped off by Logmein, this is amazing!

Pros: Ease of use for user and host. simple deployment, fast agent installation. Multiple ways of deploying / getting the agent to the user. Management of technician accounts and granularity of control is also a bonus.

Pros: One of the best features about this software is the command line access in the background. We can conduct tests and evals of people's computers without ever having intrupted the.

Cons: The biggest issue I have found with this software is with moving a computer from Support to Access. I've found that even though I've qued the command for it install acess. It just won't but I don't generally find that out untill I need to get into a computer and its not in my access list.

Pros: I use the Support feature mostly. Generating a session is quick, I send a link out to the customer and they rarely have issues installing the software. The best part is once the software is installed, I instantly have access to all screens of the customer's computer. I can focus in on one screen, or view all, or switch between screens seamlessly during the session. Basically this software allows me to focus on the issue the customer is having, instead of having to fight with the screen sharing software. I've easily spent 10-20 minutes helping customers share their screen before we purchased Connectwise Control.

Cons: This is not a monitoring software, it provides only remote access.

The 'scripting' support isnt real.
It 'can' run bat scripts, but its painful to actually use.

Pros: The platform is extremely powerful and allows nearly limitless branding and customization. There's honestly more options that I believe most people will ever use but it's GREAT to have them. The agent works flawlessly on Macs and PCs and installs in about a minute. There are also great extensions available to add to the already full set of features the core platform offers.

Cons: Connectwise Control needs major work on the mobile side. Their Android and iOS apps need a massive overhaul to compete with other major remote support offerings (LogMeIn, TeamViewer) They also need to allow remote viewing of iOS devices now that this feature is available from Apple - they did say that it's in the works but not estimated release as of 2/1/18

Pros: Software seems more reliable for connections compared to other connection software on the market. Provisioning is easy with the deployment agent you can create for PC and Mac. Cons: I wish groups and sorting was more straightforward. Its still a pain to group machines up. UI feels dated compared to current web-based software offerings. Would Like an easier way to upgrade remote deploy agents without making a new one, it should check for a new version of itself.

Pros: I like the customization with our logo, but I think Teamviewer offers this.
I like that we can only allow certain computers to be accessed by certain users.
I like the data (PC stats, etc) that can be pulled and shown in different views.

Cons: 1. Smartphone App: I don't like that you don't have an official app. I shouldn't have to login to a webgui with my smartphone.
2. Smartphone Control: Mouse control is horrible. I have to press and hold to do any sort of clicking? My finger covers where I really want to click. If you compare this with teamviewer or any RDP app, it's quite frustrating. Those are much easier. If you come up with an interface like Teamviewer, I'd be very happy.
3. I don't like that we have to download a plugin every time.
4. I haven't been able to get remote printing to work yet, after several struggles.
5. I don't like that it doesn't automatically log you off if you step away. So, with one user license and I login to it from my laptop, i leave the office and try to login from my smartphone, I can't. There's not enough licenses available even though I only need one.
6. I don't like that in order to customize, you have to know a bit of html instead of me just being able to select drop down menus.
7. I believe there's other items, I just don't recall off the top of my head.

Pros: fast, unlimited remote computers, stable, very easy to quickly connect to remote computers, end users seem to have no issues downloading the software for remote connection - unlike other i tried such as gotoassist. Unattended mac remote support.

Cons: pretty much after every initial connection, it works for 5 seconds, and then pauses for 10 seconds while it resyncs, so there is a 10 second dead time after connections to unattended computers

Overall: much less driving and travel

Pros: I love how easy the software is to use. The cost of the software is half that we were paying for Logmein Rescue. The functionality available is great!

Cons: The only con I can come up with for Screenconnect is it is a bit hard to configure and setup at first, however customer support is great!

Overall: We gain the ability to remotely manage all computers and servers inside our organization.

Works great! Does what we need.

Pros: Being able to send a Command line function to client computers is a huge help. The mobile app is well written and stable.

Cons: Setting up nested groups is convoluted and a pain. This feature needs native drag and drop functionality for simple setups.

Pros: It's easy to use, it more superior than using TeamViewer, and easy for the end user to install the client so we are able to help them.

Overall: The ability to help the end user install it and being able to save time on the download as well as the instructions on how to install it.

Pros: It allows me easy access to remote clients computers and allows me to assist very quickly to their needs. It gives me and them flexibility to be in different areas of the State while still providing the same coverage as if they were next to me.

Cons: The implementation process was a bit of pain at first. Since many of our users are remote and connect to our network via VPN, it was hard for them to grab the group policy that was in place to push the program.

Overall: Allows me to help when clients are far away and manage computers remotely.

Comments: Great customer service helps with a (could be) confusing start to an even better product. All within a sound budget!

Pros: Once set up, a great way to remote access machines on a network. Easily distinguish who's is who's once it's setup and working right. Which customer service is GREAT at doing. No matter how many times you call, anyone is able and willing to help with a smile and a very friendly voice alongside patience. It's nice to see a screenshot of the user's screen of their last active desktop to help with troubleshooting or to know if remote access should be used at the time.

Cons: Talking about the ACCESS version of this software. Getting started can be a little confusing, if not difficult. I didn't think it would be a pain to install an EXE or DMG on every user's computer, but it most certainly can be. As the software doesn't pull the machine's user - just the machine name (which can be renamed). However, if multiple installs are going on, it can be difficult to discern who's machine is who's. Wake On Lan is very spotty - especially on Macs and even more so if on Wifi. This was something we wanted and it's aggravating when it doesn't work right.

Pros: Firstly I love that this software has Two Factor Authentication, this is a must for remote support software as it allows people to gain access to your computers. I have been using this software for a while now and it has been very reliable, I have never logged in and found a computer 'Offline', which is also very important to me. The software is easy to use and easy to set up. Has all the features I want and need.

Cons: I did have an issue with their Android app that when I used the app to remote into a Windows computer, I was unable to click on anything with the mouse.

Overall: Easy, fast, secure and reliable remote support software.

Pros: - Very affordable
- Easy console setup and easily deployed to machines
- Highly Reliable
- Extensions available
- Very customizable (colors, logos, etc.)
- Able to drill down in session groups by OS type, version, etc.

Cons: - Managing Session Groups is a pain - it needs drag and drop ability or a better interface
- Overall not as user friendly as it could be (programmer friendly, though)
- Can't only get to control panel from initial administrator account

Overall: Great reliability and easily customized - all the while being more affordable than other similar software.

Hi Mark, thanks for your feedback. We listened to you and other partners suggestion on managing session groups, so we listened. We recently created an extension for quick sort session groups that is now available in the ConnectWise Control Extension Marketplace!

Went from good to AWESOME when we ditched our old remote software for ScreenConnect!

Pros: We moved from a company that charged 25% for a lot less of what we need. While the old login software was limited to 10 computer for more than we currently pay, we can now remote into 100 computers with unlimited logins. We only needed 25 remote computers but since it is so cheap for the 100 computers we went with that and have started offering this service to our clients so that we can log in to their computers and get the financial data directly from their computers rather than having to have them do it for us (which can take both their time and ours and can be frustrating waiting for the data we need fast).

It is MUCH easier to install the software to set up a new computer as all you have to do is name a new computer and download the installer and click on the executable file on the computer you want access to and you are done. 5 minutes to install have up and running. Then you simply have a web portal to access of your computers and you are just two clicks away from the computers you need to access from anywhere in the world.

Cons: There are times when I wish there was a downloadable application to install on computers you will be using frequently to access your remote sessions. But the web login is fine and keeps you logged in for quite some time so having a program installed on your computer is not as much of a necessity. I also don't like that it has an always on preview of the desktop from your web portal. I like that you can see if someone is active on the remote computer you are wanting access to but I think there are some privacy issues that if our clients knew we could "peek" at their desktop without logging in, they might not be so ready to give us access to them.

Overall: Inexpensive, full featured remote desktop software that is super easy to administrate and use. IT professionals would be hard pressed to find something this good for this price. And companies that need remote access for their employees need look no further.

Hi Peter, thank you for your helpful feedback on ConnectWise Control! We value your partnership with us and are delighted to hear how well Control works for you and your company. A couple things I wanted to mention for you to know: we value your feedback on having the ability to launch Control on your desktop, and we are actually working on having that functionality for Control partners in the near future! I also wanted to mention that you actually have the ability to turn off the preview mode! Here's the documentation with further detail: https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Control_Documentation/Get_started/Knowledge_base/Restrict_or_remove_the_screenshot_preview

Comments: I love this software and use it daily.

Pros: Easy to use, it lets you add commonly used tools to your toolbox for easy execution, and it is very easy for the end user to setup on their device. The price is way more affordable than their competition.

Cons: The description of their pricing is a little confusing other than that I think this is a great remote tool.

Comments: Most professional platforms like ScreenConnect are hugely cost prohibitive. The top dogs usually want a few thousand a year to start. I suggest giving it a try. Working in the IT industry I have tried almost all remote access tools and I can't recommend ScreenConnect enough.

Pros: So when a user is having trouble with their device I direct them to the support site the through a wide array of options. Most commonly telling them the website and giving them a code or just emailing them an invitation. The user in trouble simply downloads and runs the file and I can connect and start helping them right away. ScreenConnect has a ton of helpful tools and makes it easy to convert one-time sessions into remotely accessible machines. It's really easy to manage a ton of clients. I was used to the best remote access tools and was extremely pleased with the superior quality of ScreenConnect remote sessions.

Cons: Their Samsung mobile device support is limited but having the ability to access large majority of android device screens is a huge advantage.

Pros: Easy to establish a connection between myself and end users - we have the URL embedded on our website allowing them to just click and enter the required code.

Cons: Connecting to mobile devices needs a lot of work. Button and keyboard events don't work well and some on screen controls for home / back would be great.
