DGL Practice Manager Reviews
"Very Comprehensive, But Outdated and Clunky"
Overall: Positive as it allows one to do all they need, with more advanced features such as automatic shortfalls and multiple-payments. However, it's outdated design and overall clunkiness makes it more of a chore to use over more modern systems.
Pros: It has everything we need as medical billing company: comprehensive reports, solid invoicing tools, EDI functions and patient look-up. Each feature itself is easy to use and consistent.
Cons: Design and layout is outdated. While it has all the tools, they are often tedious to get through and not placed in intuitive areas. Things such as amending invoices are tedious to do as it requires multiple steps and memorising data just to access the invoice to edit it.
"Good software BUT less than honest company in financial dealings. Beware!"
Overall: I recommend the software but beware of the company's financial integrity when it comes to dealing with its clients
Pros: The software is more than good. I have been using it for over 20 years
Cons: The owner company, since the ownership changed hands, has had nothing on their minds but collecting money from users. They have been withdrawing money out of my bank account without my permission for months. They refuse to stop or refund. This behaviour is nothing less than dishonest
"Overcharged for a poor product that is forever malfunctioning in new and surprising ways"
Pros: I can access DGL (when working) in different places. It generates letters in your designed letter head.
Cons: Unreliability. More times than not, it malfunctions. Sometimes won't open. Sometimes it can't open word. Sometimes it opens, but cannot access patient database, etc. Every so often a new problem other than the usual ones appears. DGL charge for every invoice you submit to an insurer. I understand that they charge an extortionate amount of money for your data, if you want to leave. Forcing people to stay. I would encourage all medical practitioners to stay away from this product. The support staff are exceptionally helpful and polite. But when the ethos of the company is so poor, contact with the support staff does little to alleviate the disappointment.
"Disorganised customer support"
Overall: Not great. I am looking for a more up to date practice manager with efficient customer support.
Pros: technical guys are competent and efficient
Cons: I have waited on the line twice for over 15 minutes to speak to a technical advisor. Both times I was eventually connected to an automated service that offered me the option to stay on the line for support and when I selected this, the line went dead. If there was no one available or it was too late in the day, I would have expected to have a message explaining this clearly. It looks disorganised.
"Avoid"
Pros: none. no redeeming features. avoid this company and this software.
Cons: terrible IT support and v poor customer service
