As a Business Development Rep, I hold discovery meetings frequently, and Calendly has helped me to make that process smooth. Pros What I like most about Calendly is that you can set/book a slot for a meeting in real time and you can easily block out the days that you will not be available, and receive notifications and reminders of the meetings. I love that it integrates so easily with my Google Calendar so that I do not miss any appointments made within the program. It is easy to set up and edit when needed. I also really like that I can set questions to ask those who are scheduling an appointment with me. The only downside in my opinion after years of use is the pricing. I do wish it could be slightly lower and/or offer a monthly fee instead of only the ability to pay yearly. Pros The ease of setup and use is the best quality of Calendly software. I like how easy it is to set up each type of appointment (session) for my clients and prospective clients. Cons The only con of the software, in my opinion, is the pricing. I would like it to be slightly lower, or to offer a lifetime deal (esp. to those who are loyal users). After initial set-up, it's simply a matter of sharing the link and waiting for people to take initiative to schedule. It's particularly helpful in hiring scenarios, as multiple candidates can be easily scheduled back to back. Pros I like the ease of use when it comes to sharing your availability with multiple people. The same link may be sent to dozens or even hundreds of people, who may each then schedule calls/meetings independently. Pros Overall this is really easy to use and has integration with google. We integrate this with our website for bookings. Cons The main con is that it's a bit on the expensive side for what it is. This tool lends itself nicely to AI automation. One issue which often happens is that the end users get confused about the timezone of the meeting and book a meeting at one time and think it's at another time. It allows us to give our clients the option to book appointments with us on their own, whenever they want. When they do so we get a notification and it integrates with Google Calendars and automatically adds itself to the calendar we all share! So easy; so convenient! Pros As a freshmen mentor at my university, this is instrumental in setting up times to meet with students. I have my own classes I have to attend and my students had their own crazy schedules. It's annoying to have to go back and forth and say "when would be a good time to meet" and they say "tuesday or thursday" "what time?" "anywhere between 3:00 and 5:00" "Oh I have class until then, does 6:00 work?" blah blah blah...Calendly lets you just send a link, and they see when you are available, then they choose a time when they are available. It's really good. Cons My only issue is that it work of takes some time to figure out all the tools. Which in some ways is good because there are so many tools you can be very precise in scheduling. All you have to do is update your availability in the application and share a link with your audience. It lets them easily browse through your availability and select a day and time to schedule an appointment, all within a couple clicks. Calendly is well integrated with other services. For example, if you receive an invitation through Gmail and end up setting up a meeting, it automatically adds it to your Calendar. No more having to worry about cancelled meetings due to one person not being able to attend at that time. Calendly has helped me to organize my meetings, interviews, and so much more. Using Calendly has definitely allows me to go about my day to day business functions without having to stop in my office and schedule a meeting with a client or with a team. This is literally a calendar that shows what times I am available and clients, teams and even prospective employees can all schedule time to meet with me when it is both convenient for them as well as myself. Cons There isn't anything I'd say I dislike about the software, but the one thing I can suggest is to use push notifications to alert us when a meeting time has been set and with whom. I know that usually there is an email that is sent over to confirm the meeting, however its much easier to glance at a notification pop up on my phone rather than to have to actually open the email to see the information. Calendly offers so much practicality in the way it simplifies the entire process down to a single shared link that easily eliminates double bookings and event clashes.
