August 4, 2020 4.0 Calendly is great for scheduling meetings and has a great user experience on the client end or for whoever is booking time with you compared to other tools. Pros I love the layout of this tool and its simple design. It makes it easy on the person booking time with me to see visually when I'm available. It also allows you to ask the person who is booking the meeting with you questions and the nature of the call so you can get info from them prior to the scheduled event. This can be a requirement before confirming the event so it's nice rather than having to email them separately to get info. Cons It can be a little difficult to set up certain rules. The rules are for each event rather than a blanket rule for your entire calendar. Same thing with adding in buffers between meetings. I haven't found a software that really fixes that problem well though so it is what it is. Review Source BW Brandy W. Easy for me, easy for them. Pros I needed a program that was well integrated with iOS and that my users could easily utilize for scheduling and payment. This program is so easy to use for non-tech people. Cons Sometimes the manner of updating events is a bit clunky. I like that it sends an email to the participants and you can block off times you aren't available. Cons There is a little bit of a learning curve to set up some of the features needed on calendly but it's manageable. My big complaint is you MUST have the email of the person you are scheduling with and occasionally they won't give it to me because it's B2B prospecting. Right when we were struggling in adapting to the realities of remote and hybrid work arrangements and all the difficulties of booking virtual meetings or in-person appointments, I read about it and it fixed so many of the struggles we were having to be efficient in our appointments. Pros It takes away so much of the headache that comes with making appointments and setting times. There are no longer any clashes in appointments, or double booked events. It also allows us to streamline work times on shared projects being executed by multiple people in a way that ensures maximum coordination. Cons I haven't had anything to complain about. I include my link in communications with new people, as well as in the signature of my email, and it makes it easy for me to connect with all of the important people I work with every day. Pros I communicate with partners and external stakeholders every single day, and as such, need a way to show my availability for meetings, calls, etc. Thank goodness for Calendly, which makes putting time on my calendar easy, especially for those outside of my company/network. It's these types of things that really make your life easier as a small business owner. Right now we're just using the free version, but it's compelling enough where we are considering upgrading. We're just using it in the most basic way, but if you have a more complicated calendar situation, it's definitely worth it for more features. Definitely recommend giving this a shot if you're reading this! Pros I mostly love the simple design and ability to integrate this software with your website or calendar. We have it embedded on our website for potential clients to schedule meetings or tours of our facility, and it really couldn't be easier! We simply get an email notification that someone has filled out the form and it automatically appears on our calendar. Couldn't be easier than that! It was a stressful job to schedule, reschedule, and keep track of appointments before Calendly, now it isn't even a thought. Cons It is a little tricky the first time, to set up the dates you want to use for your appointments, until you get the jist of it. Cons I wish the cost could be a little cheaper, especially when I'm trying to work with teams using Calendly. The reminders and alerts are great, the longevity of using the platform has made it easy to integrate and its a good system even as a backup or consolidation tool. Cons Could be more cost affective and some systems have changed over the years. Integration of other platforms for scheduling or tracking would be helpful. I made the switch and haven't looked back. Pros Calendly has made a really solid product that I have 0 issues or complaints with. It makes it easy to use the free plan, integrations across multiple platforms. It's easy to setup (5 to 10 minutes) and saves me time trying to schedule appointments with people. Cons Calendly is awesome. I have nothing negative to say about it except I wish I used it in the past. It changed the way I did business when I introduced it over 3 years ago! Pros It's easy to use for the owner and the customer. The process is simple and it reduces the back and forth normally required with scheduling. I like that you can use multiple formats calls (phone, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.) Cons When you use the Round Robin function, it will use the schedules that have been predetermined in the settings, rather than using the current calendar (which has set blocked times). All users need to do is connect to their calendar, set time slots they are available and then send out the link to who they need to schedule time with. So much easier than a back and forth conversation about when each person is available. Cons I haven't found any. It is such an intuitive product that it takes the guesswork out of it. Pros I love the ability to have people schedule meetings or interviews with me at their convenience based on my schedule. It minimizes the back and forth with candidates. When someone scheduled it goes directly to my calendar and even sets up a link and conference line for you!. If need to cancel and reschedule they can do so. Everything auto generates, even the calendar updates. With calendly you can control things. Also, I use HRIS systems which has calendly integrated so whenever I send out an interview invite and someone schedules an interview it pops up on their profile. For anyone who is on a tight budget this really helps with needing to pay someone. Cons I wish the app features worked a little better than they do. I have the app on my phone but most of the time it takes me into the actual website to do things. I think using the app would be faster. It allow you to customize the bookings page, gives you option add a message on bookings page. And most importantly, you can integrate Zoom and Google Meet with it. It also syncs with your Google Calendar. It saved me a lot of time managing my appointments. Cons The setup took me quite a while but I was able to do it by myself. It has improved their appointment-scheduling workflow dramatically and likely improved the student experience when working with the office. Our users picked it up within a couple days and haven't looked back. Pros Calendly understands its niche market and accomplishes it's objectives very well. It's very easy to configure, has a great design, and is very enjoyable to use. It's also very affordable, making our purchase an easy decision. Cons Our users have yet to report back any negative experience. As a support group, we have yet to be engaged to handle any incidents or even to reach out to the vendor. Between this and a few AI vertical agents, scheduling meetings has become a pretty much automatic task that I pass of to software completely. Pros I love the elegant simplicity of Calendly. Send your calendar link to someone and let them schedule time with you at their convenience. Set up your availability, sync to your own calendar, and you're off to the races. You can also set up different types of meetings with different durations, and requesting different information from users based on what event they select. Cons I wish they offered the full solutions on a limited event number basis on a freemium model. I feel that the initial premium trial of 14 days is not enough to evaluate whether or not base or paid option is right for your business needs. For example, let's say I only schedule 3-4 meetings per week, or even per month, I would think a plan option of free, with ALL features but limited to 5 meetings per month, would be more conducive to getting people to upgrade.
