Very good, high function products. Good range of appliances with varying sizes and form factors. Good storage capacities offered.

Pros

Fast, reliable data recovery. Iron clad protection of critical data, and seamless operations when enabling quick restoration after disruptions.

Cons

Sticky issues that can arrise from moving off of SIRIS without losing a bunch of data during the transition.

Datto provides your organization with a backup appliance that can allow you to restore VMs directly to the device itself, the cloud or a combination of the two. It is incredibly reliable, easy to use, and easy to manage.

Pros

Datto SIRIS is probably the best backup solution for on premise organizations, bar none. The reliability, disaster recovery and support make this product a no brainer for any organization taking their backup solutions seriously.

Cons

Easily the price, with all of the features and support provided for the product, Datto SIRIS costs more than most options in the industry.

before the merger it was a great company to work with. since \[sensitive content hidden\] first they messed up all the billing, (still cant get it right) then support died. so its a quick down hill experience

I love the concept of the product, image level backups with offsite sync

Cons

Overall, my experience with datto Siris is quite good!

Pros

I love the three-point backup and how easy it is to put into place

Cons

Warranties and getting support to do an RMA can be a little frustrating.

Ich bin ein riesen Fan (merkt man vielleicht) Seit über 30 Jahren bin ich im Consulting Bereich tätig und das ist mit Abstand, das beste Produkt was ich jeh in den Händen hatte.

Pros

Einfache Einrichtung sowie Wartung/ Pflege per Cloud Konsole Wenig Support Aufwand Sehr einfach zu bedienen und 100% Schutz gegen Ransomware (Verschlüsselung)

Cons

Es gibt so gut wie nichts dramatischen auszusetzen. Die Siris macht genau was sie soll. In der IT ist nichts 100%. Aber die Siris bereitet wirklich sehr wenig Aufwand

We have had dependable backups of our files and devices in Datto. The admin portal can be taught to engineers without to much hassle. The configurations are easy to manage and the support has been helpful when we had to reach out to them.

Pros

Datto Siris backups is able to backup our physical and virtual machines. It is easy to add and manage machine from the management console. Disaster recovery on the local Datto physical server has enabled to run domain controllers and other servers that are critical to the infrastructure when the on-site hosts have gone down.

Cons

Screenshot verification doesn't complete on some machines. The backups for newly added machines take a while to complete and the roundtrip process can take some steps and time to complete. Uploads to the cloud depend heavily on the clients internet connection speeds.

Pros

We really like how powerful this product is for a Managed Services provider. It really can be a very strong solution for remote backup and disaster recovery of our customers, with very fast recovery to a VM on the appliance itself, or online at Datto's Datacenter if the appliance is lost as well. We really love this product, and we would use it more extensively if it wasn't for the cost, that makes it out of reach for most of our customers.

Cons

Definitely the price. It is a very expensive solution. Not necessarily that it is not worth the price given the capabilities and quality, but it does limit the set of customers willing to pay so much. Maybe Datto could consider some tiered solution with some reduce capabilities that could provide for an easier sale or entry point.

Pros

Datto has ease of use with the desktop applicaton syncing directly with Windows file explorer and the web access is handy when on the go.

Cons

Syncing with Datto can sometimes sturggle with more complex folders with a lot of files, but this can be managed by storing more single files as ZIPs.
