We've gone through implementations with excellent support as well as the ongoing support. Pros The support is top-notch. We work closely with our Customer Success Manager to meet our strategic goals. Cons Permissions are a bit of a beast. We have several groups coordinating permissions and it's not always easy but AuditBoard provides excellent support. It has provided efficiency and process improvements across the board, reutilizing evidence artifacts, automating evidence collection, and providing a great UX for stakeholders. Pros Easy to use, help to managed over 40 certifications a year adding a risk management approach to our compliance program. The Auditboard team is always willing to support and hear new ideas and pain points. Since moving to the platform, we've been able to simplify our testing and provide insight to the business. Pros The centralization of everything SOX. Having the ability to link all testing to narratives, and providing the business the ability to view and make changes, which systematically flow to control pages. Cons The requirement to have different modules in order to get the full potential out of the tool. Pros I like that AuditBoard provides a centralized system, making it easy to manage audits, track issues, and access documentation all in one place for better efficiency and collaboration. Cons Given that there are many futures and customization options, it does feel difficult at times trying to navigate through the settings and figuring out what you are actually looking for. We used to have a direct customer service manager and bummed we don't have that anymore and only a general mailbox but overall great tool for SOX work to be done in and managed. Pros Ease of use for not only SOX team but also control owners and reviewers. I also love the workstream functionality so we can put as much into AB vs. email requests as possible. Cons I wish the annotate feature and the risk assessment functionality was better. Annotate doesn't allow for excel files to be annotated unless you do PDF conversion which is not ideal. Also, the risk assessment isn't super easy to use and manager. I used the Risk Register the most. I used it everyday for at least 2 hours a day. Pros I liked that it was a very comprehensive GRC tool that allows you to manage most GRC items. It is also very customizable. You can adapt it to most processes even though the company's processes are not in line with industry standards. AuditBoard does have nice customizable graphs too. Cons It is a very complex platform. It lacks automation for artifacts. You should be able to like artifacts across the board, from controls to Risk Register items and Audits Switched from [Hyperproof](https://www.capterra.com/p/202536/Hyperproof/) Hyperproof offers automation for artifacts and you can link them across the board. This creates an inefficiency throughout Controls and Ops Audit. Cons Configuration of security roles and team permissions could be easier but it’s still very intuitive. Customer service has always been pretty good and responsive. I think they have done a great job at maintaining customer relationships after system implementations. Pros AuditBoard's SOXHUB module is really where the tool excels. It gives businesses the ability to easily monitor an always-changing risk & controls matrix. It is very straightforward and user-friendly for new users. Additionally, AuditBoard has demonstrated a continuous effort to innovate with new system features & functionality. This has been accomplished by listening closely to their customer's feedback. Cons While AuditBoard is fairly flexible, there are some limitations like its control hierarchy of Entity -> Process -> Subprocess. This only really only allows for a hierarchy that is most granular at the L2 to L3 process levels and you may not currently create more granular process levels than that. Also, I wish the SOX risk assessment feature was more robust and allowed for more streamlined mapping of control setup and chart of accounts. Currently, we still use Excel to do our scoping. Also, if you have multiple ERPs with various charts of accounts, this gets more complex and will take hard work to map everything out. Pros Its simplicity of use, combined with multiple features important for Internal Audit/SOX work, such as controls and documents testing platform, outreach to stakeholders to perform periodic controls and provide evidence needed for testing, connectivity to other enterprise applications. Pros I like that it has APIs that allow me to build automations that may not be natively available in the platform. These automations are becoming more and more important in our work. Cons 1\. The APIs are very poorly documented, and require too much "figuring out" and "guessing" 2. A lot of AuditBoard competitors seem to be moving in the direction of using integrations to collect information that addresses the requirements of compliance frameworks directly. Pros I appreciate how AuditBoard is a one stop shop for SOX. We can request data and perform testing all within the site. We can utilize workstream to chat with owners and external auditors on evidence. A huge time saver. Cons Sometimes there are technical issues that are very specific to our organization which may require additional support, but I wouldn't say I like it least as these are issues that every organization has. I also like how easy it is to create workflows for user access reviews. Cons I don't like that you cannot create sub workflows that are triggered based on the responses of the main workflow.
