We've gone through implementations with excellent support as well as the ongoing support. Pros The support is top-notch. We work closely with our Customer Success Manager to meet our strategic goals. Cons Permissions are a bit of a beast. We have several groups coordinating permissions and it's not always easy but AuditBoard provides excellent support. It has provided efficiency and process improvements across the board, reutilizing evidence artifacts, automating evidence collection, and providing a great UX for stakeholders. Pros Easy to use, help to managed over 40 certifications a year adding a risk management approach to our compliance program. The Auditboard team is always willing to support and hear new ideas and pain points. Pros AuditBoard offers good value for money and is easy to use for managing audit and risk activities. The customer support team is helpful and responsive when assistance is needed. Its risk management and compliance features make it easier to identify risks and maintain proper controls. User access management is well organized, and the software generally works smoothly with minimal bugs or issues. Cons AuditBoard is a little bit difficult to learn for new users to become familiar with its features and workflows. Some advanced functions need proper training to configure. Having the ability to link all testing to narratives, and providing the business the ability to view and make changes, which systematically flow to control pages. Cons The requirement to have different modules in order to get the full potential out of the tool. Cons Given that there are many futures and customization options, it does feel difficult at times trying to navigate through the settings and figuring out what you are actually looking for. We used to have a direct customer service manager and bummed we don't have that anymore and only a general mailbox but overall great tool for SOX work to be done in and managed. Pros Ease of use for not only SOX team but also control owners and reviewers. I also love the workstream functionality so we can put as much into AB vs. email requests as possible. Cons I wish the annotate feature and the risk assessment functionality was better. Annotate doesn't allow for excel files to be annotated unless you do PDF conversion which is not ideal. Also, the risk assessment isn't super easy to use and manager. I used the Risk Register the most. I used it everyday for at least 2 hours a day. Pros I liked that it was a very comprehensive GRC tool that allows you to manage most GRC items. It is also very customizable. You can adapt it to most processes even though the company's processes are not in line with industry standards. AuditBoard does have nice customizable graphs too. Cons It is a very complex platform. It lacks automation for artifacts. You should be able to like artifacts across the board, from controls to Risk Register items and Audits Switched from [Hyperproof](https://www.capterra.com/p/202536/Hyperproof/) Hyperproof offers automation for artifacts and you can link them across the board. We have had some issues with lack of timely or complete responses from tickets submitted with problems. Pros auto-save is great. I do like the easy of customizing as well. Cons some areas are overly complex (permissions) and some are too basic (formatting in fields). It seems like the development group has a lot of great software engineers, though may be missing human factors and user community involved with the design and testing. Switched from [RSA Archer Suite](https://www.capterra.com/p/176996/RSA-Archer/) Tool was customized to the point where it was not longer supported and the cost was unsupportable. Customer service has always been pretty good and responsive. I think they have done a great job at maintaining customer relationships after system implementations. Pros AuditBoard's SOXHUB module is really where the tool excels. It gives businesses the ability to easily monitor an always-changing risk & controls matrix. It is very straightforward and user-friendly for new users. Additionally, AuditBoard has demonstrated a continuous effort to innovate with new system features & functionality. This has been accomplished by listening closely to their customer's feedback. Cons While AuditBoard is fairly flexible, there are some limitations like its control hierarchy of Entity -> Process -> Subprocess. This only really only allows for a hierarchy that is most granular at the L2 to L3 process levels and you may not currently create more granular process levels than that. Also, I wish the SOX risk assessment feature was more robust and allowed for more streamlined mapping of control setup and chart of accounts. Currently, we still use Excel to do our scoping. Also, if you have multiple ERPs with various charts of accounts, this gets more complex and will take hard work to map everything out. Review Source TM Tracy M. Pros How it's easy to navigate and use, there are always new enhancements coming out that helps utilize the system more. If there are issues, customer support is quick to respond and help resolve the issue. Cons Some features are restrictive to tiers or features aren't compatible with certain Microsoft Office versions. The application has improved our SOX program and they have great customer service. Pros AuditBoard has great customer service; they respond to support tickets within 24 hours, but usually it is within hours of when I submit the ticket that I receive a response. It is an intuitive application to use, which makes it easier for training purposes with our end users. Cons When you filter in List View in one field, it does not limit the options that are available in the other field drop-downs. I would select AuditBoard again! Pros AuditBoard is a robust platform, which follows a well-thought methodology but it is flexible and adaptable at the same time. It meets my requirements. Cons The implementation process was complex but we made it through. It was performed by a third party (RSM), who was outstanding. However, it took us a while to complete the project. Cons Sometimes there are technical issues that are very specific to our organization which may require additional support, but I wouldn't say I like it least as these are issues that every organization has.
