December 11, 2017 5.0 It's easy to use so we can create schedules during team meetings without worrying about the distraction that a more complicated schedule software might create. Pros Touchplan is a simple, easy to use application. It's intuitive interface permits a wide variety of users to utilize it. Customer support is very responsive and eager to help users. Cons The printing feature for the chart does not seem to work properly yet. The reports print well, but the chart itself will not print properly. Review Source RH Ryan H. Pros I like that the software updates immediately, so that my Foreman see updates I make in real time. I teach our tradesmen how to use touchplan with ease. Even for those who are not very computer literate. Touchplan helps you see your plans and create a logical work flow. Cons Time consuming, not worth it. Felt the subcontractors would not buy into it because it was too time consuming. The customer support has been outstanding. The quick/helpful support they provide has been extremely helpful. We will definitely continue using Touchplan as a tool on future projects! Pros The software is very easy to learn/ understand. Great tool to use for progress tracking, scheduling, and commitments from Subcontractors on a daily/weekly basis. Increases communication between Contracting team and Subcontractors. Color-coded stickies and the tracking of them make it very simple to use. Pros Easy to use once I understood how it worked. I liked the way the days could be extended for more than a single day of planning. We used different colors representing the individual trades involved and some used icons that were provided. It also makes it much easier to track and record. Pros Easy to use. Touchplan reps have also come out to visit our job site to help us with any questions and get us started. On most jobs our subcontactors are not involved as much in building the schedule. Pros The ease of using the software. Also the tech support was great. They usually answered our questions with in 5-10 min. Cons That there are no email notifications of completed tasks, tasks coming up or missed tasks. Also the cost. Single source for everyone to use and coordinate with. Cons would like some higher level reporting capabilities. And would like to be able to add in linkages that would allow for "critical path" reporting....and give feedback if critical path is impacted. NOT actually changing things, but reporting. " April 2, 2018 4.0 Pros Using Touchplan allows for meetings to be streamlined. Subcontractors spend less time preparing for meeting and more time paying attention within meeting as the schedule is somewhat set ahead of time. Cons It would be nice to have a feature that connected subcontractors directly to the days they are scheduled to be on-site. For example, if a subcontractor is scheduled to be on site on monday morning, their contact info and cell phone number would be connected to their contact info in TouchPlan so they would receive a text reminder asking them to confirm they will be on-site on monday, as the schedule depicts. This would further keep subs accountable for when they are on the schedule and to show up on-site. Review Source JT Joe T. It is to add and remove activities. Pros The layout within the program (tool bar on the left) is easy to follow and to use. It is relatively intuitive. We have meetings with all the foreman and are able to edit the documents live instead of watching one person do all the work. Cons That tasks do not move out automatically.
