My overall experience has been positive. Despite some of the minor cons I had, I was always able to get my job done and make it work for my company in a way that give me peace of mind that everything will run smoothly.

Pros

I'm a fan of quality excellence. It's easy to use and makes sense for our organization. Have the regulation in our quality process makes all the difference. We're small and just getting started, having gotten set up in such a short amount of time getting this implemented helped tremendously with taking one more thing off our plate.

Cons

There are some cons but mostly just program things I do not like or wish I could change. Working with things like AQEM a lot, I have certain ideas in mind that would work great for the specific scenario I'm in but aren't always within the realm of capabilities on MC. There are however some new additions I was made aware of coming soon that solve some of these problems!

It's a decent Electronic quality management system with room for improvement especially in areas such as Supplier, Audit management

Pros

Documents and Training Modules are straightforward and easy to use. The ability to capture multiple quality modules in a single solution.

Cons

Supplier, Audit modules have several limitations and are not user friendly. Users complain about searches too.

Pros

We really like how it puts everything together. We like being able to see different metrics on things.

Cons

There really is not anything that we dislike. It is good overall and functions well. Perhaps the end user training could be a btit more.

What I liked most about MasterControl Quality Excellence is its strong focus on compliance and its ability to streamline collaboration across teams. I especially appreciate the ready‑to‑use digital forms, which are already designed around industry‑standard processes and allow teams to start working immediately without lengthy configuration.

Pros

Configurable aspect of the application helps to scale it. It can be used for various different site/ business needs, Linking between the records control design between roles is easy to manage.

Cons

User interface where we have to click and click to get to the main thing we are looking for. Risk module not publishing PDF to be shared with stakeholders, Audit module looks outdated where the similar products in the market have better interface. Reports generation is a tedious task even with Insights.

Master control is a really powerful tool when built out correctly. It's dangerous to just pull it "off the shelf" but if you work to make it as best it can be it's a vital part of my workflow.

Pros

I like the secure document management. I am especially interested in our paper records in my work and master control helps keep them in one place.

Cons

It can be slow at times, which isn't ideal for my use case. I'd really like to see some tech improvements to make it more seamless.

The whole MC team has been amazing to work with. Their attention to detail is amazing and they made it so easy to get us up and running.

Pros

Documents and training has been instrumental in bringing up our HIPPA compliance by having an organized central repository with change control functionality. It brought up our compliance to 93% which is the highest compliance rate ever during my 15 years of being with the company.

Cons

Qx is a great application but I would like to see an option to allow end users that may not necessarily need to be in MC daily have an option to have a read only view of documents. Currently we are printing out certain policies which in a way is going backwards.
