Pros: - Is simple and easy to use; -Has Integrations with project manegers; -Have clear interface and simple layouts; -Track team activities per day and week; -You can print to pdf your timer; -Control over time Entry and Breaks; -Desktop app can track time on browsing; -Reminder on tasks left unpaused; Tmetric was the missing piece in our team. And it is so easy to getting used to, that we can't imagine working without it anymore.

Cons: This is hard, I don't think I have anything to dislike right now. Maybe a "autopause" feature, or a alert when you go on a task further then your work time. But it's not essential to the tool.

I think it had been seamless for now except some issues

Pros: it tracks everything, including which window had been active. Best thing is that as a user, we can hide that information, awesome!

Cons: the start button doesn't get disabled when i start tracking and the stop button doesnt get disabled when i stop tracking

My experience has been very satisfactory with its reports and control of time spended in my projects

Pros: I like and enjoy the reports because are very detailed, for example I can see the statistics of my partners when we worked in many subtask of a big activity and I can know when we spend longer than estimated.

Cons: Well I think that isn't easy the installation, it can be more simply, for now it's the only thing that i see with this software.

Comments: The best time Management/Project tool available in the market, it does require too much time to setup, its easy to access and start using from the very second you login. Can be setup with anyone unique job description. Does the job with ease when it come to reporting. In the end it will sustain for a long run. On top everything is accessible on your desktop forget. What more do you need.

I found Tmetric simply, time conservation, affordable and very friendly consultants, in fact the best I've ever experienced.

But what I would like to do on Tmetric is to add time manually for multiple projects at the same time on average if that can be possible.

Pros: Browser extension that works seamlessly with Asana workflow manager. You just can't get any better than that!

Cons: Would love to be able to select a day for adding time manually all in one place. Perhaps you could add a dropdown calendar from the "add time manually" button?

Overall: TMetric is FANTASTIC! This software has solved a lot of problems for our company. Our Virtual Assistant team uses this product to keep track of every task we take on. While we no longer bill our clients hourly, we still feel it's important to know what's going on internally. Thanks to TMetric, we can do just that!

Overall: I liked the idea of a tool that let's me track time in a very free yet usefull way.
The layout is clean enough and still manages to to guide you to the right configurations. Very intuitive.

Comments: We are using Asana for task management. TMetric enables to track time for concrete tasks with a new browser extension's button. It is very easy and convenient. Very satisfied.

Cons: desktop widget doesent work properly, and weekly usage a bit confused to find

Overall: Everything fine so far. I really like the simple idea. The only think to complain about, is the desktop widget. Its very nice to have it and to see the website activity, but there must be something wrong with it as it pops up all the time and logs itself out and its a bit annoying. We had it installed at 2 differnt lap tops with 2 different accounts and it was the same. So there is a lot improvement in that.
But apart from that its very nice.

Pros: Integration with Jira and Trello. Easy to use, set up teams in minutes. Time tracking made very easy!

Cons: I couldn't find an app for iPhone.

Overall: As an outsourcing company with a growing team at Intellabridge.com we needed flexibility and low cost with integration into Jira and Trello. Tmetric was the obvious solution. Because of the ease of use and ability to add browser extensions for Jira and Trello it makes it much easier to track time and invoice clients. I would highly recommend this product!

Recommendations to other buyers: It would be great to have a simple invoicing feature to be able to send invoices to clients with the click of a button.

Pros: Works easily, looks great.

Cons: Not much

Overall: Works just like you'd expect it to work. No need to figure it out, it all comes naturally. We've been using TMetric for a while now after switching from another time tracking tool. We're very satisfied.

Pros: The Desktop app's accuracy & how it detects if I have been away from my machine

Cons: I just wish the Jira integration was so advanced in such a way that I can just pull all the jira tasks from the TMetric site

Overall: I have been using TMetric for about 4 months now & I couldn't be more happier. I love their Desktop app, as it helps makes your tracking more accurate. If I were to pop into a meeting without stopping the tracker on a task, it will alert me that I have been away for like 30min & if I wanna put that time on my current task or a different one

Pros: Quick of use, Google Chrome extension, free up to 5 users.

Overall: I was searching for a complete time tracking tool, that let me manage my daily work. TMetric is all I want. I can easily start tracking time, google chrome extension is very useful and it is also compatible with Asana. I am very satisfied.

Comments: I have tried to use other time measuring applications, however I found them to not cater for what I want and too technical. The manual time update is awesome as well as the , end of day timer, when you did not close the day off. Some functionality that you might consider is minimize or task bar location. Other than that I switched back to yours. Some feature that I didnt like of other applications is when it goes into, away from desk mode, as I might be talking about my projects or discussing things, and then I have to allocate that to the task at hand.

I am a senior DBA and Senior BI Developer so dont really have 5 minute tasks. or try to keep track of those if I do.

Comments: Initially, I faced some minor issues in this tool. Well, which is fine now. Apart from this, when i download the report in exl format. I got the spend hours in the format [hh: mm: ss] which is not calculable in this format.

Comments: I use TMetric to track my time spent on processing licensing applications, time spent in meetings.
This has helped me with time blocking and being more efficient in my work. It helps me stay on task and complete all my task items. My only issue is remembering to click it on.

Overall: TMetric was selected to keep track of the amount of hours spend on a project, it made it simple to break things up into tasks and the reporting function gave a great overview of each day and the amount of time spend on each task.
Integrated with Chrome using the plugin, Had the Windows desktop app running in the system tray and used the Pivotal Tracker plugin to manage everything.
It all synced up together well and overall was simple to use with a fair amount of flexibility and good reporting features.

The only time keeping software I'll ever use!

Pros: Segmenting of tags for accurate reporting along with: Automatic starting and stopping.

Cons: Starting a new time for a project needs to be very accurate (within 2 minutes) otherwise a break forms when I don't need one.

Overall: When I started as an employee as a website developer and IT Support Officer I wanted an easy way to keep track of my time and how I use my time.
I asked myself: That takes up the majority of my time and how often do I change tasks throughout the day?
The system that was originally developed was very manual and required the required only journal for start and finish times.
After trialing a large amount of software and solutions on the market I started using TMetric and have had my best time management experience.
Not only do I now keep a time log of my work but I can also analyse my time history and provide my employer with instant reports within seconds based on my key words (Tags) and/or Project and/or Client. The amount of options is amazing.
I have submitted development requests and have seen some of my great ideas developed within Tmetrics online application. With the product continuous being improved, I won't be moving away from TMetric. TMetric has helped me organise my website developing skills into a development areas. The recording of website development time segments has helped better prepare for more accurate quoting for website customisations.

Overall: I've been using TMetric tool for the last 4 months and it has helped me a lot to organize my project's timesheet. It's possible to measure the efforts, costs and savings per activity, person and project. I really recommend it for organizations, project management and even for your own/personally use.

Cons: Might be hard to do more complex operations

Overall: I've been using Tmetric for a few months now, for a single project right now, and its integration with github has been a real time saver. It integrates very well my personal workflow. One thing that i found a bit hard was browsing back through your recorded times to make adjustments: apparently you can only consult one day at a time, and the experience felt a bit difficult (basically you have to know all the dates that are concerned first, then jump from day to day and make your modifications).

Comments: This is the only free time tracking app for calculating time you worked without having to make calculations. However every time you pause you must re-enter your info , and it doesn't really let you select a customer+project, its by project. I'm using FreshBooks but that costs me money!

Comments: My experience while using it for a client was amazing , The system works like a charm. There was a time I forget to stop the timer and fall asleep and next morning it reminded me about the time .Billing a client was never so easy but for me it also helps me managing my time between different projects.

Cons: My manager says its reporting and managerial features could be better ¿ for instance, it's hard for him to edit my time records.

Overall: ... if I'd had the time. It just gets out of my way until the times when I'd actually like it to intervene, at which point it graciously intervenes. For instance, if I've left my timer running overnight (happens all the time) it tells me so, and gives me a nice little form to help me fix the time record. And if I've been away from my computer for half an hour (perhaps at a client meeting) I return to find it asking me whether I want to keep that time. Simple yes/no dialog. TMetric have got so many things right when it comes to user experience.

Pros: Ease of use, many kinds of reports, Project capability, easy time editing. good-looking aesthetically, integrations with Asana and other softwares .. for a start.

Cons: I really don't have any complaints about the software.

Overall: I've been using TMetric for over four months and I cannot imagine life without it. Editing your time is effortless. The Projects field allows you to pull reports for time clocked on individual projects, which is super useful. Team Summary reports are also something I use consistently. Best of all, TMetric is smart by recognizing when you've left the timer running, and by being able to easily jive with other apps. As an Asana user, it is way too simple to have the TMetric "Start Timer" with each individual task, and TMetric automatically grabbing the Asana Project and correlating it with the TMetric project. Saves me so much time and hassle! I couldn't recommend TMetric enough.

Cons: Sometimes it can be hard to edit time because it will change time from AM to PM or vice versa.

Comments: This is a helpful tool. However, it's not terribly intuitive and often takes several steps to perform what should be a pretty basic function. I think with a few tweaks, it should be a lot easier to use, and thus, a lot more popular

Overall: TMetric was easy to use to time track projects on Trello. If you left your timer on it was very easy to adjust on the TMetric site. I would recommend this app to anyone.

Pros: Ease of recording time and the allowance of 'away' time.

Cons: As I indicated, I would like to see a tie between tasks and projects (that would ripple through the entry process as well).

Overall: What would make TMetric perfect for my use would be if there was a way to assign tasks to a specific project, and include the project (along with its tasks) part of the selection process when recording your time; as is, we get by by doing some post-entry editing in the web app, but it would be nice to be able to do that within the desktop (i.e. Windows) app as well.

Overall: Perfect integration with Jira. Easy to use. simple. I am really happy that i found this piece of software. There are a few improvements that i could imagine, like create/mark multiple timeslots on one day with shift and update all Descriptions, but other than that i am really happy. Especially because you don't need to add a jira plugin I use it locally to track my own time to update the issues. I would suggest it to anyone.

Overall: TMetric is the easiest option for me to have the detail of the time I spent in my tasks. I work with Trello and is as easy as click a button when I start and click again when I finish. I don't even need to set the task title, TMetric does it for me. And if I forgot to stop the timer (what it happens too much), it warns me and let me fix the timer.

Cons: Manual time entry not as easy as using the timer. It adjusts entries unwittingly if you make mistakes.

Overall: As an independant contractor, I've used time tracking tools over many years. TMetric is my latest of at least 6 months now. TMetric definitely is not the most feature rich, but it feels like they did it without compromising core needs, similar to how Apple simplified smartphones. I recommend it. They are also responsive to feature enhancements as well.

Overall: I use TMetric as a timekeeping method in Asana. I do this by using chrome with tmetric's extention, when I start chrome up it opens Asana, Tmetric and my cloud drive.

It is the first time timekeeping software actually seems to work for me. It's simple and effective. The relative low amount of features (that I use and actually see) is a plus for me. The goal is to keep time on my projects and tasks. Editing is also pretty easy. Adding new tasks that I have done in the past is easy on the same day, but a few more steps on different day. That could use some improvement.

Cons: weird reporting and easily forgettable - thus causing many timing mistakes.

Overall: I only used it to check if the time managing system in my office had a bug, because I suspected something fishy, turned out that everything is fine the issue was in the UI. Never mind the app is great, but I never got to use it for anything more than a time tracker for my work schedule, really, I saw that it got automatically linked to Jira and Redmine, but if you don't click the tracker it will never do anything. so it's redundant like that. I think it can be automated to track the progress in those project managment tools, time it took from assignment to first update or issue/task resolution for instance.

Recommendations to other buyers: yes, do better research on how tasks are tracked and timed and add a warning system in the app, this will make it brutally efficient.

Cons: In my specific case, the limitation that prevents employees from entering time more than 3 days late has been troublesome. I would like to see an option to control this functionality, as well as perhaps a time-approval process that can be done on a weekly basis, where employees submit their time and have it approved by a supervisor.

Overall: I've been using T-Metric for months, and it has been my go-to time-tracking software. It is currently offered for free so its value for money is superb.We'll see how they choose to charge for their service in the future. For now, it being free and having a nice Chrome extension that plays well with Asana, as well as its extremely easy-to-use interface and simplicity are what drew me to it and keep me here.

Recommendations to other buyers: Please keep this service free/mostly-free for early, bootstrapping startups. There aren't many others out there that have allowed me to keep track of time for so long for free. In these early days all I need is to track time, and if we find investors/money I'd be much more likely to purchase pro-features in this system that we already rely on.

Overall: A little over 6 months ago, i decided to quit my full time Senior Marketing Manager job and dedicate all my energy to my business. Being the Type A personality human being that i am, i needed to make sure that everything about my business was as clear, documented and precised as it could be. After months (i'm not kidding) of searching for the right tool, i bumped across TMETRIC and i could not be more excited. The ability to create clients with their fees, projects and even pull out REPORTS! I mostly use the app through the Firefox plugin and it's become part of my daily routine. New task? Turn on the timer. Done? Turn it off; and so forth.
Since then, i have recommended the app to at least 4 people; which i know are currently using it.

Several colleagues have mentioned that they were not this organized when they started their businesses and that i have so much data and control of what i do!

Overall: Well, I've been using TMetric for a while now with the team I work with and there area some things I really unlike.

Let's talk about performance: why every single time I click on a task to edit it takes a while? It's not fast, and it should be.

Your support is not as friendly as I imagined. After a TMetric's update, I found a bug and opened an issue as fast as I could for you guys, and I really was expecting a more friendly feedback.

And about updates: please, be careful with deploys in production. You can test your software in modules. Until that bug I said before was fixed, I got some troubles here because of that.

Cons: Integration with third-party systems can not tell the project when I start a task. This causes me to have a job getting back on the site, editing the task and informing the project.

Overall: I searched a lot of time and tested various project management tools and ended up adopting Tmetric. It was the most complete tool I found and still has integration with several development ideals like visual studio online. In addition to having a great range of free use, it helps a lot to small teams that have no budget for paid tools.

Before I found this extension, I have tried many timetrackers, but this product is most cool for me.
I'm using this tracker more than 4 month, and do not have any problems with this. All is good.
Important things for me - it's reports generation in the custom date range because sometimes I should to report about work progress and timing.
Good function - a manually changing time! Because sometimes I forget to start a timer in the start of working hours, and also I can forget to stop the timer in the end.

Additional thing to improve your product its select which projects and projects stages should be in the report view like a list.

Overall: TMetric is a innovative tool, that initially I was extremely resistant too, as I didn't understand the value in recording time.

After 1 whole month of recording time, I immediately saw the benefit. Even though I have been working in a similar way for a long time, I did not truly understand how much time I lost. I knew there was parts of my day to day work I needed to improve, but couldn't fully pinpoint where the churn of time was.

Luckily, Tmetric allows me to see just how much time I TRULY spend with tasks not important to my real work, and where I can best spend that time instead.

The UI is brilliant now. Other then the below improvement suggestion, it is actually very smooth to use. Easy to learn and easy to master.

Improvements:
I would like to see it better predict what tasks I am putting in. There are some tasks, especially in the morning, I feel it could be smart and know I always have a stand-up at 9:30AM in the week if i log time that day. Then, If I happen not too, it would be easier for me to remove, rather then keep selecting this on a day to day basis.

Pros: Clean and fast interface. easy to navigate and most functions that could think of are there.

Overall: Previously I was tracking the time spent for my free lancing via typing in the time in a sticky note. I then calculate the total time spent at the end of each month and then sending an invoice over to the client. But with TMetric, I saved efforts of tracking and calculating time each month. All I had to do now was just to click on a start button on either the chrome extension or the website and it will auto tallies up the amount of time spent so that I don't have to risk of charging short to my clients. It is also good for track time spent on different sector of the projects by different team members/ employees so that the time spent of certain task could be justified without accusing of not being effective worker.

Overall: It is a decent app for the basic task of timing, but it doesn't really provide much more than that as a free user. Since there is no way to switch between tasks easily, it is more of a task to remember to keep up with the timer. Perhaps if there were an actual start menu item or hotkey start and stop or switch task, etc. If it does offer these abilities for free users, the desktop app doesn't communicate much.

Comments: The Time Keeper aka TMetric is indeed a handy tool to use on daily basis to keeptrack of the time it takes to perform the tasks. I work in an envirnament that does not need me to punch in or out. But with this tool it gives my manager a good overview of the daily, weekly and montlhly hours.

This tool has potential to get even better, it is for now precise and way to use. does not take a whole out of time to login and perform the required functions, simple yet effective.

Pros: The thing I like most about TMetric is the "Today" page. It provides great information and makes time tracking quite simple.

Cons: The reports are fairly barebones... just the data. Wish the time tracking data was used to create graphics of how much work was done on each day/week/month for different projects.

Overall: My favorite thing about TMetric is the day view. This is the main view where you start and stop tasks. It's incredibly simple and has a fantastic graph showing all logged work for the day.

This lets me easily see:
- How much I've been working on a task during the day
- How much time I've logged for the day
- By hovering, I can see how long each break I took was.

I've used several other time tracking services, and none of them made it this easy to cover those basic features.

Pros:
- Great day overview graphic.
- Easily see how long breaks where.
- Free for up to 5 users!

Cons:
- The UI isn't the most intuitive. Once you understand how things work, it's easy.
- Desktop app is for Windows only, so I can't take advantage of their automatic tracking.
- Reports don't generate any graphics, just line items with hours.

Currently the reports tell you things like "You spent 40 hours on this project", but I don't see a way to see a graphic that would tell me when I worked those 40 hours.

Overall, this a great tool for time tracking. My one piece of advice if you're thinking of trying TMetric: Commit to trying this for a week. You need to push past the initial setup and slight learning curve to enjoy how easy TMetric is to use.

Pros: The way it track the working time

Cons: It has no android app
It has single hour rate for one project. I need more specific rates, for example based on labes.

Overall: I am freelancer and I used TMetric to control billing time on several concurrent projects I was working for. I found it more convenient to track all task in one ease of use system than do it in different environments of my customers. Especially when every customer has it own rates for bugs, incoming features and planned user stories. It was very helpful that weeks when I was committing in two software releases of two different teams at once. Thanks god I did not work so hard any more.
I use only free version so have nothing to say about "Value for money". It saved a lot of my time when I could generate reports to bill my customers in a few seconds.

Recommendations to other buyers: It is convenient way to track you working time, when you constantly switch projects during the day. If you has different rates inside one project - use Project-UserStory, Project-BugFix, Project-IncomingFeature approach.

Pros: web based no need to install software on the pc
can track from anywhere after logging in.
Ability to run and generate reports

Cons: so far there is nothing that I can complain
Would like to be able to send an email into a bot to capture time if needed.

Overall: Excellent time keeping software allows to keep track of my hours on the current task and i can give my boss more accurate numbers about how long it takes to develop a program or whatever task that I am working on.

Comments: My team uses tmetric to help us gauge the time spent on issues in JIRA. I like that you don't have to remember to finish a task in order to start a new one--it stops timing the old one automatically. That said, I think it'd be useful to have an alarm when your work has gone over a certain point, or when it's your usual end of day, so that you don't run into the issue where you come in in the morning to find a timer has been running all night.

Cons: Billing rates are very basic (only one rate for your account and a team member rate)

Overall: After another free time tracking app we used completely overhauled their UI in favour of providing lots of features we didn't really need, we went to look for an alternative solution. We stumbled upon TMetric, a new time tracking app seemingly still in its early stages. This is great because the team behind it clearly focused on the essentials first without bloating the software with feature creep. The core interactions required for a time tracking app are all very polished and unlike the competitor products. I personally really like the timeline and seeing my logged work hours and breaks so visually. It's also really intuitive to add breaks or worklog items after the fact. Integrations with common project management software are plentiful and the one I used so far works seamless ly (GitLab). The only shortcomings are in the billing rate options, these are still very basic so having multiple different rates depending on task type etc is not possible yet (as far as I know). However, Devart has a support portal where they are reasonably active and you can request features there.

Overall: Time tracking is hard, I've used 2-3 other time tracking apps on a daily basis for a couple of months and the only piece of software that really nailed the core functionality for me was TMetric. The interface is put simply, a pleasure to work with. On top of that, I don't even use the main interface that much, because the Chrome Extension integrates neatly with almost every (webdev) project management tool we've used (Github, Gitlab, JIRA, ..)

The only thing that would be a nice to have(having used Harvest as well), is billing rates per tag or task categories. We bill certain types of tasks within a project differently to our customers and creating a project per type of task for every customer seems like an akward way of achieving this. I know a few companies that would switch to TMetric instantly if this feature was available.

Overall I love TMetric and it's simplicity!

Recommendations to other buyers: Add the ability to setup billing per project / per tag would be awesome.
