And it is so easy to getting used to, that we can't imagine working without it anymore. Cons This is hard, I don't think I have anything to dislike right now. This also reduced my anxiety and I don't need to open several tools during my workday. Your reports are great and accurate. Pros What I like most about TMetric is that it helps me understand how I am spending my time, in addition to making me spend it less time because it is an application with several solutions for those who work as a team. It is the best choice regarding tracking tasks coming from customers on concurrent channels and aggregate them into a single invoice for the customer. It has also idle detection and open end timer detection which is very helpful for us. Since we use TMetric, we invoice the customer in time and we pay freelancers always in time. Which is a great plus! Cons I would like to have better XML/CSV/JSON export for the invoices and reports. Have in mind that not everyone is using QuickBooks. Pros I used TMetric on my Chrome browser to track time spent on my freelance projects. It's easy to use, and I love that it integrates with Asana to keep track of time spent on specific tasks. I'm not great at remembering to turn it off, but that's user error. I do like that it lets me divide my time out into tasks and get reports when I am ready to invoice someone or just see where my time has gone. Cons It doesn't always stay logged in like my other Chrome plugins do, which can be annoying. But it's just one extra step to reconnect it. Review Source CR Cíntia R. Pros I like how it easily integrates with all the other productivity websites I use, like Trello, Todoist, Clickup and Google Calendar, so I never forget to start an activity that needs to be tracked. I'll upgrade my account eventually Pros The free subscription allows unlimited projects and clients and track your work very well, and the free trial let me know all the great features this app has. Cons I haven't used the paid version, but I'm super happy with the free one, I can't complain about anything Reason for choosing TMetric This is the most complete app and is so easy to use, I've seen other products dashboards and tmetric's is definitely the most user friendly I found. TMetric had an easy integration and we could start using it after a simple set up. After that, just one click and the clock starts running. Cons One thing it was a bit confusing at the beginning was the total time balance. We couldn’t figure out how to change it or if you wanted to work more than X hours one day, it gave you an error. System Engineer Computer Software Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "One of the best time trackers available" February 7, 2017 4.0 Time tracking is hard, I've used 2-3 other time tracking apps on a daily basis for a couple of months and the only piece of software that really nailed the core functionality for me was TMetric. The interface is put simply, a pleasure to work with. On top of that, I don't even use the main interface that much, because the Chrome Extension integrates neatly with almost every (webdev) project management tool we've used (Github, Gitlab, JIRA, ..) The only thing that would be a nice to have(having used Harvest as well), is billing rates per tag or task categories. We bill certain types of tasks within a project differently to our customers and creating a project per type of task for every customer seems like an akward way of achieving this. I know a few companies that would switch to TMetric instantly if this feature was available. Overall I love TMetric and it's simplicity! Pros save time, satisfactorily integrating our workflow. It has made our life easier as it allows us to categorize our time helping us to stay within the specified time frame. It has good usability and helps us to control projects within our KanBan in Trello, and if you left the timer on, it is easy to adjust it on the supplier's website. It allows the monitoring of the hours dedicated in the project of each team member and see the progress of each activity. Cons Sometimes the service was interrupted, with no apparent reason or notification stating the reason. It does not have compatibility with mobile devices. It was the most complete tool I found and still has integration with several development ideals like visual studio online. In addition to having a great range of free use, it helps a lot to small teams that have no budget for paid tools. Pros Good integration with third-party tools. Time Value Calculation Resource. Cons Integration with third-party systems can not tell the project when I start a task. This causes me to have a job getting back on the site, editing the task and informing the project.
