I’ve been able to use the platform for important tasks, but the payment portals definitely need some work. Pros I like the ease of use, and how it’s easy to create invoices so it makes data entry manually. I also like how easy it is to connect with support if needed. Cons The payment portal is a bit outdated. I like being able to write invoices, but the payment part is something I try to handle outside of the platform since there are so many issues. They quickly answered our very few questions and made the transition smooth. Pros Loved the automated features. I did a lot less manual linking of invoices to purchase orders. Made my life so much easier! Cons The only thing I didn't like was that I had a hard time integrating it with my other software. That said, Ottimate did so much that, over time, the other software was obsolete. During that time, they were nothing but trouble. They make their money by converting your vendors to virtual cards without your approval. Their payment module is so bad they won't even accept payments through it themselves, requiring you instead to sign up for automatic payments directly from your bank or credit card, while routing your vendors through multiple third parties. Pros If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. The only good thing about them is that everything is all in one place. They make promises they can't keep and hold vendor information hostage. Cons Restrictive contracts that remove payment autonomy of business. Terrible customer service. Unreliable payment delivery. No resolution to recurring issues. Frequent errors in their system's indexing that result in more time spent fixing issues than with hand entering. I built role-based approval across departments for the invoices and made sure to forward it appropriately without follow-ups or rework to eliminate delay and provide me better control of pending actions on the AP cycle. Cons The automation of invoice classification does not consider some vendor codes, particularly for service code invoices. I have had to correct account coding by myself which has somewhat lessened the aspect of automation for the specific vendors.
