Overall, my experience with Box has been very positive. It's a reliable platform for file storage, sharing, and collaboration, with strong security features and easy access across devices. It has made managing documents and working with team members much more efficient and has become an important part of our daily workflow.

Pros

What I like most about Box is how easy it is to securely store, organize, and share files with others. Collaboration is simple, version history is helpful when working on documents, and access permissions make it easy to control who can view or edit files. It integrates well with other business applications, making document management efficient.

Cons

One drawback of Box is that the interface can occasionally feel slower than other cloud storage platforms, especially when working with large folders or files. Some advanced features also require additional configuration, and searching for older files can sometimes take more effort than expected.

Having used Box for over 3 years, I can say it is value for money considering the content security, unlimited cloud storage, the level of automation, and the amazing content collaboration capabilities. Most businesses if now all would benefit from this tool.

Pros

Box has been effective in managing our business digital content. From ensuring our content is secure to ensuring easy/fast access, the tool makes all this possible. It makes storing our content on cloud easy and so is managing and content collaboration. The ease of workflow automation including e-signature, summarization and no-code automation makes it ideal for business use.

Cons

With Box, it's most advanced features are available only on its premium subscription and I have also experienced slow syncing when handling large files.

Box does what we need for document storage and basic sharing, but I question whether we're getting our money's worth. For a small team, the cost keeps creeping up and there are cheaper alternatives that honestly do the same job. It works, but I wouldn't say I'm excited about renewing.

Pros

We mainly use Box to store client contracts and project files that we need to keep around for a while. The folder permissions are good for when we have to share certain docs with clients or freelancers without letting them see everything else. Plus, version history has saved us a few times already whenever someone accidentally overwrote a file.

Cons

The pricing structure doesn't make sense for a small operation like ours. We're paying way more than competitors charge and the storage limits feel arbitrary. Mobile app is clunky and previewing certain file types takes forever or just fails completely.

Pros

Box is very easy to use and has a CLI interface for automating file shares and backups. Sharing and removing access to files with external parties is also very easy which is our main use case for Box.

Cons

Box is very expensive for what it provides. This was a driver for our migration to an internal solution, even though it did work very well.

Reasons for choosing Box

We needed a simpler tool to get started with very quickly.

Paper clutter was everywhere and people lost the facility inspection forms all the time. Now every file that was previously physically filed in the filing cabinets downstairs are all dumped in Box. Instead of searching through filing cabinets I can now find a keyword and view all documents associated with that keyword.

Pros

Box is acceptable I suppose since the AI search has been able to interpret my messy handwriting without freaking out. I thought the automatic workflows would fail or crash but they did manage to send the correct bills to the appropriate parties.

Cons

Getting our legacy SQL data into Box migration process was a complete nightmare and neither on-boarding staff informed us of how painful this would be. Way too expensive.

Overall, I’ve had a really positive experience with Box. It makes storing, organizing, and sharing files really easy, and I like being able to access everything from pretty much anywhere. The collaboration features are also super handy when working with a team, especially when multiple people need to review or edit documents. It feels reliable and straightforward without a lot of unnecessary hassle. There are a few features that take some time to learn, but once you get familiar with it, Box makes file management much more convenient. I’d definitely recommend it for teams and businesses.

Pros

Box has been a great tool for keeping files organized and easy to access. I really like how simple it is to store, share, and collaborate on documents without constantly emailing files back and forth. The interface feels clean and straightforward, and it’s easy to access everything from different devices. The sharing and collaboration features are especially useful for working with a team. Overall, Box has made file management much more convenient and streamlined for us. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and definitely something I’d recommend to anyone looking for a solid cloud storage and collaboration platform.

Cons

One downside of Box is that it can take a little time to get used to, especially if you’re new to cloud storage platforms. Some of the more advanced features and settings aren’t always super obvious, so you may need to poke around a bit to find what you’re looking for. The pricing can also feel a little high depending on the plan and how many users you have. That said, once everything is set up, it’s pretty easy to use and works reliably.

Box is a highly functional and robust platform for document management that gets the job done efficiently. While it is undeniably powerful and stable for professional use, the user experience feels a bit outdated and lacks the polished, engaging feel of other cloud storage tools. It is a solid, reliable choice for businesses, even if it isn't the most exciting interface to work with daily

Pros

The file syncing in Box is incredibly reliable, and the desktop application works flawlessly without consuming excessive hard drive space. Additionally, I’ve found Box Canvas and Box Notes to be excellent, well-integrated features that make brainstorming and documentation very convenient. Cons: The user interface feels quite clunky and sterile, especially when compared to the more modern, intuitive design of competitors like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Cons

Box is far too rigid and expensive for a small business. The platform is clearly built for large-scale enterprise use, making the initial setup process unnecessarily complex and time-consuming.

I've had a good experience using Box. It's reliable, secure, and makes it easy to share and manage documents without worrying about version control. My team has been able to collaborate more efficiently, and I haven't run into any major issues. Overall, it's a solid platform for businesses.

Pros

Box has been really easy to use from day one. I like how simple it is to organize files, share folders with teammates, and control who has access to what. We use it to keep project documents in one place, and it's made collaboration much smoother. It also works well with Microsoft Office, which saves time.

Cons

The pricing can be a bit expensive, especially for smaller teams. Also, finding some of the advanced admin settings took a little time, but once everything was set up, it wasn't a problem.
