### "Heavy File go easy "

March 1, 2026

5.0

Perfect so far, it allows excel sheet to be linked with salesforce as well, live fresh up to date data is refreshed and can be access with multiple team members

Pros

It has the feature to upload and keep very heavy files any excel, documents, which is not possible to share and access on outlook

Cons

Ask for access for logging in, like there are two access window to acknowledge either own company or outside the company, the consent and login to be provided , if outside ethe company, email is required to access the file. This step is mandatory to work every time on same file - box feature

### "Very good file storage & collaboration platform"

April 17, 2026

5.0

Box overall is a very good file storage and collaboration platform. Web interface is easy to use and navigate and the desktop app syncs and works well within File Explorer or Finder. Its great when collaborating with external users because you can either give them access to a folder with granular permissions or you can generate a link for them to upload files to only. Reporting is good as well as you can report on all user and file/folder activity (for both internal and external users). It can be on the pricier side especially if you want some of the more advanced features such as a Shield or Goverance or Retention Policies.

Pros

The ability to send an "upload" only link to someone is a great feature when working with external people. It allows them to upload their files without being able to view or access the original folder or see what other people may have uploaded. The folder structuring is pretty standard compared to other platforms but Box does a really good job with granular collaboration permissions from the parent folder and down. Configuring organization wide settings is easy to setup as well. UI is modern, clean, and easy to navigate.

Cons

Box is a little on the pricier side when compared to other platforms and some of the more advanced features are hidden behind an additional license/add-on. There is no native "team/shared folder" feature. If you need to create a team/shared folder, it has to be created within someone's individual account. You essentially need to start off with creating a service account user and then creating all your team/shared folders within that service account.

### "Stay away from these crooks"

July 25, 2025

1.0

I tried to reduce the number of seats we are charged for with their online tool and they charged for double the number of seats. After a week, the only response to multiple inquiries is "You have to call on the phone," but their site provides no phone number. But I'm not offended: they also refuse to respond to the credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. Either Box is terribly managed or they actually care more about a few thousand dollars than about their reputation as corporate pirates. This company has deteriorated in the last few years and now Dropbox is far better.

Pros

It works well as long as you don't have a security breach and need support. If you try contacting them, they are resistant and angry, which on top of ignorance is hard to take.

Cons

TERRIBLE customer service. Huge overcharges that they refuse to even acknowledge much less credit back. NEVER give this company a credit card.

### "CLOUD STORAGE"

October 17, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Box is positive, with the understanding that it is a tool for secure file sharing and collaboration, not a replacement for a dedicated engineering PLM solution. It excels at centralizing project documents, managing client deliverables, and facilitating communication around non-CAD files like specifications, reports, and presentations. The security infrastructure gives me confidence when sharing sensitive information with external partners. However, for the core task of collaborative mechanical design, it serves more as a secure repository than an active workspace. It's an excellent complementary tool in my digital toolkit for managing the business side of engineering projects, but it falls short of handling the high-performance demands and intricacies of iterative 3D design work.

Pros

As a consultant working with sensitive and complex engineering data, security and controlled access are my top priorities. What I appreciate most about Box is its robust set of security and administrative features. The ability to create secure folders for each project and invite clients or team members with granular permissions (e.g., view-only, uploader, editor) is invaluable. This ensures that valuable intellectual property, like proprietary CAD designs for motorsport applications, is protected. Furthermore, the version control system is excellent. In mechanical design, we go through countless iterations. Box automatically saves previous versions of a file, allowing me to track changes or revert to an earlier design if necessary. This provides a clear audit trail and prevents the common issue of team members working off of outdated files. The platform serves as a reliable single source of truth for all project-related documentation.

Cons

While Box is great for general file management, its performance and features lag when handling the specific demands of heavy 3D CAD files and complex assemblies. Syncing very large files (often several gigabytes) through the desktop client can be slow and resource-intensive, interrupting workflow. More importantly, Box lacks the specialized tools I rely on in dedicated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like Teamcenter or Windchill. It doesn't have an integrated 3D viewer that can properly render complex assemblies, check for interferences, or manage part dependencies and Bills of Materials (BOMs). This means I always have to download the files locally to do any meaningful engineering review, which adds an extra, inefficient step to the process.

### "Reliable Storage Solution"

January 20, 2026

This service ranks among the most effective cloud storage solutions currently available. It offers excellent value relative to its price.

Pros

I appreciate the lifetime access included with a single payment. I have maintained flawless file integrity and accessibility, with seamless sharing capabilities.

Cons

To date, I have encountered no drawbacks with the cloud service. The platform is user-friendly, and I have experienced no technical issues with the application.

### "A good alternative to the main players when you need more than just storage"

February 9, 2026

4.0

Overall experience is good. Again, really need to justify additional features beyond storage for this to make financial sense.

Pros

Easy to use cloud storage, with a lot of available extras if needed. Collaboration features are a must for modern storage platforms.

Cons

Not as well known as some other "built-in" providers, often times competing against a low\\no cost alternative that while not quite as good is usually good enough.

### "Excellent sharing tool"

July 10, 2025

4.0

I was not a fully committed google drive user, so I was not resistant to start. I love that it integrates with MS Office (which google does not) so it is native to the work environment. Sharing is solid, and this is important.

Pros

BOX has good sharing, integrates with MS Office tools. Easy to arrange storage and cascading permissions make it easy to safely and appropriately share with staff. Does require some forethought for setting folders and share cascade.

Cons

Can be glitchy and requires consistent updating to continue integration with MS Outlook tools. I don't like that won't remember the previous actions, saving to or whether or not I want to create a box. Sharing experience is good, but not totally native in the same way that Google Drive works. Hard sell on people who are committed to google environment

### "Great Document Sharing Software"

November 22, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been excellent. I’ve used this platform regularly with my clients and have never run into any problems. The workflow is straightforward, the tools are easy to navigate, and the interface is designed with user-friendliness in mind. Its smooth performance and intuitive layout make document sharing and collaboration feel effortless.

Pros

A very convenient and secure solution for managing and submitting professional documents, making workflows smoother and more reliable.

Cons

The system sometimes demands too many permission approvals and authorization processes, reducing efficiency and interrupting smooth work.

### "Great tool for file sharing and organization."

December 13, 2025

Box is a great tool, we even use it to deliver content to external teams and love the ease of use and security.

Pros

Great ease of use between team members and even collaborating with other teams. Super easy to share files quickly, even large ones.

Cons

There is a slight learning curve for those who are not digital natives. Older members of our team had a harder time learning this system.

### "Great utility for Orgs and advanced users"

March 19, 2026

5.0

The use of their Box Drive app on both macOS and PC is pretty great. The CLI performance with RClone is awesome. Their support is pretty responsive, and we're able to deploy across our org with minimal downtime.

Pros

Easy to connect/integrate with multiple other services and allows for CLI with RClone that allows you to import entire companies directly via terminal.

Cons

15GB limit and the need for splitting apart larger files can be difficult at times, but it's easily solved with some minor terminal commands. Box really doesn't have any serious drawbacks and seems to have all the features any other service would

Pros

User friendly design, E-signing and autosaving files from integrated apps makes it a great solution for our document management needs.

Cons

### "Excellent collaborative tool"

November 24, 2025

5.0

A good tool for storing documents and sharing them with people in the company. Easily integrating with Azure Data Factory for data ingestion, which makes it a good candidate for being part of Data Science - Data Analytics stack. Some potential sync issues, depending on which side you create first a folder - local machine or on Box website - but probably fixed with the latest updates.

Pros

An optimal choice for cloud storage, the one stop place for collaborating on various documentation (including versioning). While I'm using Box both within the organization, and also for personal usage, I find it suitable and easy to use for document management, for accessing older versions when needed, and for syncing with local Box Drive. Money-wise is a good choice for a company, allowing also easy integration with other tools, e.g. creating pipelines in Azure Data Factory for ingesting data stored in Box automatically.

Cons

For personal usage, I find the free plan a bit restrictive (compared to Google Drive for instance). For the company usage, I find that sync is not always as transparent as it should, or has certain delays

### "Easy to use for content sharing and backup"

September 30, 2025

The smoothest tool I came across to upload files irrespective of data types. It is syncing quickly and no issue so far with editing documents.

Pros

Allows me to mark specific folders for offline availability, it feels more secure, and data sync is more optimized.

Cons

The web app has room for improvement, the interface isn’t as satisfying but it does the work I need.

### "Sharing made easy"

May 1, 2026

5.0

It is a great tool to use, it helps with sharing files, and have your colleagues collaborate from any part of the world.

Pros

It is very easy to use, has very little setup to move around. The app allows you to store and share files with ease, this makes collaborating with your team easy across whatever platforms you use. I used the free version, it does offer more storage for different pricing, but it is very accessible.

Cons

It can be confusing to use on the first try, it does have a learning curve, but once you get it, it is very useful.

I really enjoy using Box now in that I actually look forward to organizing and sharing files there, especially on big projects and with multiple other users. I've had a better experience than I did a year ago in regards to customer service as well.

Pros

Now, I like that Box improved its overall speed of use, organizational improvements, and a less obtrusive authentication procedure.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about Box right now, since I feel that it actually acted on my concerns previously.

### "It has served me well over the years."

I have used this product on and off for several years. I maintain the free account and still have a lot of photos and some files.

Pros

Ease of use on this product is great. I've used in with the APP and online with no major issues. It has allowed easy collaboration between my team and I so that We can access things quickly and easily. Like that I can password protect files.

Cons

Some users have had some issues with accessing if the item is shared to them. This could be a limitation with the devices and not Box's fault.

### "A useful file-sharing platform"

March 16, 2025

5.0

I am quite satisfied with Box for sharing files with colleagues and as a backup.

Pros

Box is very useful when you like to share files with colleagues. It keeps all versions so that you can go back to earlier edits. Text and spreadsheet files can also be edited online directly. One can also uploaded files from local computers.

Cons

When multiple users make changes to the same file simultaneously, conflict will arise and Box handles these conflicts by saving each user's changes separately to avoid overwriting. This can be confusing sometimes. There is an option to lock a file but then if a user forgets to unlock it, then the file cannot be updated by others.

Overall, my experience has been a positive one due to being able to keep all of my important files in one location that is easily accessible by both myself and my manager, and staff.

Pros

What I like best is that you can share the files with others, whether they are on the Box platform or not.

Cons

Sometimes the desktop version will not auto update with the online app and you have to open up a help desk ticket in order to resolve.

### "I enjoyed using Box "

Box has impacted my daily work a lot in a positive way, I use it to share large sets of data like administrative documents and often photos.

Pros

What I like about Box is that it’s easy to use and installs quickly, plus at the time of installation Box gives you the choice to configure it according to your work. I also appreciate the strong compliance and security measures, especially for managing sensitive documents.

Cons

Sometimes the download speeds are often slow, and its user interface feels a bit outdated to me, I think they should modernize it more.

### "Directly collected feedback through comments"

July 15, 2025

Box is a safe and convenient method of sharing files and working together, but it can be quite slow when it comes to working with large media files, which affects usability in crucial situations.

Pros

Box allowed me to share externally without inconvenience link-based invitations gave me detailed control over who had access. The encryption actually gave me a feeling that day in and day out my sensitive project files were safe.

Cons

When I played big media files I encountered repeated lag in syncing. Uploads would be slow and even freeze up needing manual intervention to rehearse them.

### "BOX - A file storing and sharing platform"

February 17, 2025

4.0

Experience is absolutely a pleasure with Box, it removes the trouble we face while sharing or taking large-size files from clients, stores those filed securely. The best feature is the ease of dragging and dragging files for access. Easy to integrate with teams and outlook for quick process.

Pros

1\. Secure login environment for protected file storage and sharing. 2. We can create multiple objects based on clients to save information in a separate and well-organized manner. 3. Highly integerable with multiple platforms. 4. Having a restore option for deleted files is an added advantage.

Cons

1\. Very costly enterprise version. 2. Searching files and folders is a difficult task in the box as it shows incorrect data there. 3. Limited space available in the open source environment.

### "A complete document management"

February 19, 2025

4.0

Very well-organized platform for all type of documentation, file system support. We can integrate it with our platforms for the ease of doing work. Notes , backup of documents are all good features of this. We barely use digital signature but yes it is also a good part.

Pros

1\. Simple and user-friendly platform for document collection, storage and management. 2. Secure and we can simply share a link to the partners to upload the document which also works like a drag and drop of documents. 3. UI is very well management; performance is good and it's easy to locate the document there as well.

Cons

1\. For a free trial it gives very limited storage of 10GB only. 2. Search engine of the product is not up to the mark and works as expected. Every time results are not proper which makes it quite difficult sometimes. 3. Secure but ask user every time to login if they want to upload any file with the provided link if they are not using it previously which makes it annoying.
