It has become our flagship information-sharing tool. We rely upon it hourly. Pros Box was incredibly easy to implement and it is incredibly intuitive for our users. Ignoring a user for whom it is not working just because they are the only person in the organisation reporting problems is not good support. If this is happening for one person (the most recent recruit who uses a Macbook) it could extend to others who join in the future and use the same platform. Furthermore other Mac users have avoided using Box Drive because of incompatibility with their hardware and are therefore relying on the less functional Box Sync. I would hesitate to recommend Box to Mac users. Pros It's easy to understand if you've used Dropbox before. Cons I am a Macbook user and since I started using Box I have had consistent problems with files not synching. I don't mean temporary delays, I mean NEVER synching at all. This affects my ability to work with my colleagues. Despite first line Box support saying they would refer the problem to a product expert, there has been NO response for 4 weeks despite frequent reminders. Box's stated approach to customer support is to attach no priority whatsoever to problems that only affect one user. That certainly reflects their attitude to me. There has been no attempt whatsoever to investigate why this problem is occurring or how it might be resolved. This is very disappointing. Review Source SK Shanna K. It kept our clients files from looking cluttered. It integrated very easily with Salesforce as well which made our office work flow smooth. Pros Box made it very easy to create organized electronic storage systems and files to keep the many different types of docs we received organized and easy to search for. Box also has a great integration with Salesforce, which we use to connect our accounts to their respective files. Box has great permission settings and is very easy to use. Box Drive also allows us to access files from our native file explorer which is very easy for our users. Cons The price point per person is pretty expensive with Box and their support is really slow with anything that has to deal with an integration (ie Salesforce integration problems) Reason for choosing Box Box integrated with our desktops and Salesforce better than all alternatives. Pros I like the sharing information on the right of the directory/file list because I know who have access to the directory while uploading files. The layout of the directory/file list is also very clear. I especially like the version number that helps me keep track of the file history. Cons I receive an email notification whenever a person who shares the directory with me updates the directory. Sometimes I receive too many notifications in a short time. I believe there is a way to disable it but I do not know where it is. I would prefer to have the list of notification on Box by default, rather than sending out emails. Review Source JJ Joo J. It basically provides customers time-saving and secured file sharing experience. I highly recommend to people who work with team members through online. Cons For us there was unfortunately no unique selling point or feature that kept Box on the table when considering the other applications and tools we use as an MSP. We use Office 365 for emails, the Office suite for document creation and editing, Sharepoint for team collaboration, Teams for IM and customer communication and calls, Visio for diagramming, etc. With this investment into Office 365 and having a Business Premium license for all users, there was no reason to keep paying for Box (and other solutions) when an equivalent is 1st Party integrated with our other solutions. Pros For safely keeping my files and documents, Box is a fantastic tool. Finding the appropriate documents is quick and simple thanks to the search feature and its excellent user-friendliness. Cons Box is wonderful for storing files, but there aren't many collaboration tools, and there aren't many file-sharing alternatives either. August 18, 2018 5.0 Box for Office and Office 365, Box Drive, Adobe Echo-Sign, and Smartsheet were game changers for us. They added depth and sophistication to the user experience in Box. The documentation and training materials from Box make forward momentum with Box easy to achieve and sustain. Pros There is so much, but if I had to pick one it would be how easy it is to integrate. We have never had an issue with an integration. He can turn them on directly within the admin tool. If we need help, Box staff is incredibly responsive. Cons Wish that version control had a few more features and that paid add-ons would be a bit more affordable. Cons Some of the functionality is archaic, and needs a modernising revamp to the GUI and UXP. It is easy to upload data on to the Box application and store it in different folder structures. 2. It provides limited storage i.e. around 10GB and the limit can be increased at some extra costs. 3. It is easy to sync data at any time from anywhere. 4. We can access all documents and files at any time. 5. It is also easy to share documents, items and other contents easily. 6. The user interface is pretty decent and does the job just like Google Drive. 7. It allows uploading almost all major file types and allows offline access and viewing capabilities too. 8. It is available as a mobile application as well, so syncing data becomes easier Cons File storage limit is really low. Also competitors like Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive are highly secure and reliable and trustworthy as compared to Box with limited features. Support reply isn't that instant! There is a whole backup of my photo gallery and school documents. Pros It has a multi-platform feature so that I can switch my files between my phone and my computer.  It has a WebDAV feature. I like the history change feature of files. It is as simple as that.  I like the built-in Microsoft Word and Excel on Box. Files can be shared easily and quickly. 20 GB of storage is an excellent starting point, with 10 GB for signup and 10 GB for mobile app.  Cons Upload speed would be fast. Subscriptions are not cheap. You can integrate it to work for whatever platforms and devices you use (PC, Android, iOS) and import/export important data this way. The UI is simple and clean, and there is no real learning curve, as it is so easy to start using it. Cons Not much negative input on my end here. Pros It is integral to our business to store important documents. This application makes it very easy to organize documents into folders / workflows and is highly secure. The mobile app comes in handy when I am traveling to be able to pull up any document in real time if I need to discuss anything with a client. Cons It would be helpful if there was training offered to help organize folder structures or how pathways should flow. You just need to figure out how to make use of its numerous features for maximum benefit. Pros I have used other cloud storage applications like Dropbox and Google Drive but they don't quite match up to Box. Box has a clean and neat interface that makes it easy to discover where things are. Box has numerous features that help managing and accessing files easy. You can access your files via your browser, tablet or mobile phone. You can also make quick edits to the documents. Another thing I like about Box is the document sharing functionality. You can share folders and documents with your colleagues(collaborators) using links. When sharing documents/folders, you can specify whether the collaborator can be able to can view only, view & edit, download etc. When you don't want to share the document anymore, you can unshare the link to the document/folder. In addition to shared folders, you can also have shared folders. Another awesome thing about Box is that you can create Microsoft Word documents within the Desktop version of Box. Cons One con is that under the free version of Box, there is a limitation of not being able to upload files above 250MB. You have to split them if you need to have them in Box. Cons Box crashes every so often, and it somewhat haults the flow of work in our office whenever that happens. July 24, 2018 4.0 Box is a really efficient solution for when I need to transfer large files and has made that task much quicker and reliable than the days of using ZipDisks. Pros Box is great for sharing items with others for review. This is especially true for large files that cannot be easily emailed. Another great feature of Box is that it will keep older versions of the same document (if you don't change the name) attached directly to the newest file. I really appreciate this when a change has been made to a document and then a request is made to change it back. Finally, i like to use Box to share files with myself. As long as you have a good connection, this is sometimes a better solution than carrying a drive with files you are trying use at work and home. Cons If you end up with too many folders or items in one folder it can be cumbersome to navigate between pages of items. A more robust organization feature would be appreciated.
