I work on a popular TV show, so we needed a file-sharing system that would be easy to use but allows us to control access to avoid any leaks. Box allowed us to do that with a cast and crew of over 200 and very little information out. Also the amount of storage space was great for all the files that needed to be stored and shared within different departments. Cons We had some folks using personal emails from their businesses or abroad that wouldn't be recognized by the system when we sent them their personal access invite email. Pros We use box for all of our cloud management and sharing needs. It is our primary tool for those needs and more. Cons None at this time. July 12, 2018 5.0 Allows us to offload assets from our local computer storage devices. Pros At our university, we each have a 1TB limit on storage in Box. That allows us to store files in almost any format, easily and quickly. We also heavily use the collaboration and sharing options available to share assets with others in our organization Files upload quickly and the site is easy to use. We store a ton of image assets on Box. Cons The fact that I can't combine my personal Box account with my university account. There should be some way for support to allow this to work. Pros I have worked with many remote "cloud" options for large amounts of storage and box is my favourite. Its easy to use, fast, and user friendly. Cons When you look at who is all shared on a folder it takes you to another page, I would prefer it to pop up with the list of users instead. Pros I really enjoy how HIPPA compliant Box is, as I can upload sensitive files and trust it will not be intercepted. I enjoy how I can share files with others in my company to gain a signature or provide a template. I enjoy how easy it can be to upload to Box through a computer or phone. The Box app is as great as the website. Cons The only thing I do not enjoy is I cannot delete or edit a file I have uploaded once it is uploaded (if I am not the administrator). Pros Box software provides a centralized database where agencies are able to share documents across the portfolio. What I love about it is that you can edit online or open the document, as well as use a web-based version or sync with your Windows configuration. Cons Occasionally there can be issues with documents no saving, or multiple versions created by more than one user being in the document at one time, but overall these issues are minimal. It has been very helpful in the area of sharing files and documents , reports and team presentations with team members spread across different cities. It has been reliable for the two year period when we adopted it, and is a very versatile and dynamic tool which has made me work faster at work. Cons File upload and download speed can be very slow at times,and this is a major setback of this tool.Also has been difficult to convince traditional clients to take advantage of Box. And every time it has been a hassle-free experience. And with more favorable pricing packages, I have ended up recommending it for most of the small business clients I have worked with. Pros There are many features I love about this software that I don't know which to choose as my favorite. The audit trail for one has been one of my favorite tools for quality assurance management and team monitoring. I found myself frustrated with wait times, misinformation, and constantly having to go through coworkers to get files reorganized and renamed for accuracy. However, the overall security and design of the software makes up for the difficulties I had using it because a lot of that was simply due to the fact that it wasn't really cohesive with the structure of the company I worked for. Pros Docs were always very secure, multiple folders made organizing a breeze. Cons Sync times took far too long for a fast paced business, leaving many of us with outdated information, stalling progress since we were all remote workers and relied on Box to have access to client files. Clearance levels could be individually set but weren't very customizable, resulting in some people having privileges they didn't need, and others being left without the ability to do something as simple as rename an incorrectly labeled file. We plan on continuing to use box for the foreseeable future. Pros Box allows us to have a central repository of information and files. All of my team can access information from any device wherever they are. Box sync has also eliminated the need for larger storage drives becuase the files and folders are virtual until you need them. Cons there isnt much to like. We have the paid plan and have made use of a lot of the features including the restoration feature which has saved us more than once. Their customer service is great and it's awesome to have all of my content on any device worldwide. Pros I love how box has upgraded from Box Sync and now allows you to house all of your cloud information on your computer and it works in an instance, no more syncing. This software is way better than it's competitors, I will never use dropbox again. Cons I disliked how Box Sync would work sometimes but since they've upgraded to a new drive system, this product is amazing. It's by far my favorite cloud storage platform Review Source Romain B. Pros I really like the seamless syncing with box from the cloud to my desktop/laptop.I find it always syncs properly and in a timely matter, with very few issues.It is a great collaborative tool as well. I prefer it over Sharepoint and other shared drive systems. It also integrates well with many other softwares. Cons Very little to dislike, A few years ago there was an upgrade that caused some issues, but they were easily solved as Box had provided detailed instructions on what might need to be changed after the upgrade. Pros We like the security and access controls features offered by Box. Cons Not too much to complain about really, though sometimes phishing attempts proport to be Box, but that is totally out of their control.
