Proper management of database can be done easily. Pros Box is a great tool which we use to store data. We can check how many times others have viewed the data. Data sharing in box is entirely secured and password can be set to access the data. It allows our system data to be stored in cloud so that our harddisk always have more storage. Cons Multiple copies are sometimes generated in a single folder if different person access it during same time. Mobile application doesn't have a lot of features. Customer support is not great Price as compared to other cloud storage devices is high. Box takes the burden of saving / losing documents away, and is a great tool for a big company. But there should be tutorials and trainings to help users make the most of it. Pros The unlimited storage is very appreciable when you have a lot of content to deal with. I used limited clouds before, and it was a daily stress, and needed a lot of time to organise. With Box, I stopped worrying about my files, and I upload all my documents every night before leaving. I never lose them and each document automatically uploads itself, allowing me to find the latest versions without losing the previous ones. It is also really easy to share your documents and folders with your colleagues, with a high level of security. Cons It takes a lot of time to understand how Box works, and I discovered many features by chance. It is a shame to have such a useful tool and use 10% of it. It would be great to have a big tutorial with concrete examples when you start using Box. In a big company, you can get lost with all the public content added by everyone. It would be great to add hashtags and filters to find what you want faster. It is really expensive, which is ok for a big group but would not fit a start-up. The system worked seamlessly once installed. Cons Getting switched over was tedious with the number of files that everyone had and the scattered way they had them stored but once we were organized and had a file structure built, the system worked very fluidly with everyone's storage styles. November 21, 2018 5.0 Box has been a great product for our company. We've rarely run into any issues with the product (but when we have, Support was great and fast). It helps us provide easy access to files for both our internal users and our external users and customers. Pros Box is my absolute favorite storage platform. It's fast, easy to use, and full of awesome features and functionality. I've been using Box for about 5 years and it's never let me down. Can create different categories of classification and have them associated to files, folders, sub-folders etc Create links, share with internal and external persons Can be added and interact with other tools like Trello, Slacketc Space and speed are some of the key aspects Cons It's quit expensive for small compagnies. I'm lucky to use this tool as it's enabled for all users to our entreprise. It maybe intersting to enable some basic features and make some promotions to the market. This has allowed our company to become much more productive when traveling or out of the office as the ability to access company files is only limited by your internet speed. No more VPNs or remote server sign-ins needed. It also seamlessly integrates with Windows and the traditional folder structure. Cons Nothing comes to mind. May take a bit of time getting used to if it's your first experience with a cloud storage service. " June 29, 2018 5.0 Since it's very easy to manage the files s stored on Box through their web interface, I am able to concentrate on other projects in the office. In addition, it has taken the burden off our email server as we no longer need to email large files and only send the link to those files or folders via email. Pros Security and Ease of use !! Every file you store with Box is encrypted using AES 256-bit encryption. In addition, the Box user interface makes it easy to share out and collaborate folders with specific permissions. You can easily see which collaborator (customer) has opened a specific file by running a report. Reliable file sharing....We have given all our field technicians access to a wealth of information that would normally have been emailed to them upon request and they are able to access Box directly from their tablets to access this info. This has streamlined our business and has made it easy for us to collaborate our reports with others. We have tried other file sharing sites and Box has worked perfectly for our needs. This did the trick nicely. Pros It's familiar... it behaves a lot like other cloud syncing software, but it offers an alternative when you don't want to throw all your files in Dropbox or GoogleDrive or other services you might already use. Conversely, you could just use Box and not use the others. Or you can use them in conjunction. There is a generous amount of storage given for what you pay and it seems to work well. It is very convenient to add a Box link to your sidebar in your Finder windows (on Mac) and drop stuff in there to use it on all your devices. Cons Really, I don't know of anything I don't like, other than the fact that it's somewhat like a lot of the other ones out there... but I also used that as my primary "pro" about it ("It's familiar... like other(s)"), so I can't rightly say it's a negative.
