What's great about Box is the integration of Microsoft Word Online - as well as Google Docs/Sheets. Cons The desktop sync app is completely unreliable. Sometimes it deletes files from my hard drive. Other times it goes slower than molasses. Most recently, I had 75gb of files deleted off my hard drive. Thank goodness they are still in the cloud, but considering I have Satellite Internet, it's going to take about a day to download them all again - and use half of my monthly data! Cons When they send you an invitation to collaborate in a group, it is a little confusing that initial configuration, because if the person sending the invitation is a user who works in a company that acquired the software, it tries to login under the same domain and gives an error, until it is entered again from the page. Cons The limited storage capacity of the box becomes a con and the file upload speed also feels slow which need to be even. Rest of the things i find good but limited offline access. Pros Box ticks all the boxes for reliable cloud storage. Signing up is extremely fast with the provided setup wizard. Once you have an account, you can begin using box across all of your devices. Sync is immediate and download performance is quite good across all regions. Most documents can be previewed inside of the Box website or client. It's easy to share folders and documents with other users and access to files can also be audited. This is great because we have compliance and regulations to deal with. Integration with SSO works flawlessly. Cons If you have a lot of images, it does take a bit of time to load all the snapshots. This is somewhat jarring considering that the rest of the site is lightning fast. Pagination is also pretty slow, if you are dealing with hundreds of images it will take a while to sift through all of them. They need a better way to search through large sets of images.
