Pros My favorite part is how easy it is to share folders to people who arent even users. The share function gives you multiple options on the security of what is being shared. Cons Box does not have zero knowledge encryption, which is quickly becoming the standard for privacy-minded users. September 1, 2024 4.0 Using Zapier workflow automation, we were able to mimic a google workspace type experience for our project management needs which we chose box because of a 20+ year relationship and its robust list of available integration options thanks to its multi-decade cultivating of relationships unmatched by any of their competitors. Pros Their Cloud infrastructure is one of the original online storage spaces, which i have used since 2001 to keep my songwriting files secure. My favorite unique advantage that box has is its file versioning. As a songwriter it can be challenging saving updated lyrics though still utilizing autosave to avoid unintended deletion. File versioning combines the two and organizes all versions, with an easy selectbox convenient for final drafting. It made working with documents and collaborating across teams way smoother, and I felt confident knowing everything was secure and easy to access. Pros My favorite thing about Box was how effortlessly it lets me collaborate with my team and find the files I needed without ever feeling overwhelmed or lost. Cons My least favorite thing about Box was that the web interface sometimes felt a bit slow or clunky, especially when previewing large files. It's very fresh and modern, and makes you want to use it. It is however fairly pricey, but they do have sales and good Enterprise discounts. Their sales team is always quite open to negotiate. Pros Box is my preferred solution for storing and sharing assets. It's SOC2 compliant, and performs much better than a Cloudinary for a lower price. Cons It's more of a luxury tool like Marketo which costs a premium for what it does. A Dropbox for example is much lower in price for a similar type of performance. Review Source AK Athina K. Pros Box excels is great for file sharing and storage, offering solid encryption and access controls that help protect sensitive information by the users you select. The platform is extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. you can have real-time editing and commenting, which enhance teamwork and streamline workflows, and you can do all that from your mobile phone through their dedicated app, allowing users to manage files and collaborate from anywhere. September 24, 2024 5.0 I was very hesitant at first to use box because I was so used to using a local drive on my computer. However, it functions even better than using a shared local drive as its quicker, efficient, and the web version allows you to track who changes the document, what time, and you can go into an older version of the document in case something was changed and you need to figure out what. I also like it tells you who was in the document and at what time. Finally, the feature that is very helpful with working with outside firms is that we can share documents over the secure server. This greatly helps in cases where our organization does not allow us to use email to transfer files. I am very satisfied with Box, I don't want to even imagine my workday life without Box. Cons Sometimes it takes several minutes to synchronize files on others' computers, it can be a problem either the network or Box, couldn't figure it out. Pros Box helps my larger scale university job easily collaborate and keep things in one space. I am able to access old documents, and easily reformat to update to my current needs. Cons For whatever reason, I have difficulty being able to easily find documents with the way that my specific organization has folders set up.
