It has a simple and user-friendly interface which makes it easy to use once you learn it well. Pros Box allows you to easily and quickly access your files from anywhere anytime across the world and share them with your colleagues. Implementing Box and getting started is very easy and simple. It provides high security for your files thus making it a very secure solution. Cons For new users, it can be a bit difficult getting started with Box. Our company owned the overall setup but it was great to be able to structure my storage how I saw fit. Cons Hard to keep track of all the folders that others share with you. Pros Box makes it so easy to share documents with colleagues who aren't located in your office. We have staff all over the state, so having one location where documents can be shared and updated in real time helps keep our projects running on schedule. Cons There are times that the documents do not automatically update in the Box system even when the box appears to be synced and totally updated. Pros Its incredibly simple to use, you could know nothing about it and be able to navigate it successfully within 1 day. Its makes sharing files incredibly easy and it provides a good platform for collaboration with customers and fellow team members. Cons I think that Box could use some more robust security, only because some companies will shy away from a third party site because they are viewed as not as secure. If you could offer robust security as well it would catch a broader base of users. Sometimes you type in an exact documents file name, and it does not populate. I have to ask people to send me specific links to where docs are housed sometimes. June 7, 2021 4.0 Pros Box has a great user interface which is very straightforward and easy to use. We used to use Microsoft SharePoint before Box and did not have the greatest of experiences. We found SharePoint quite difficult to navigate and the set up and maintenance of the platform was very challenging. Upload speeds on Box are very fast and also the platform has customisable security features. Cons In Box you can create tasks for any document you have on the platform which is great. However one issue in particular which I find irritating is that lets say your colleague creates a task on a document which you share and at some point if you wanted to change the task due date or add other colleagues to the task, you can't do that. Only the person who creates a task can amend it. This is still the case even if you have multiple admins which is part of our setup currently. The document preview supports a wide range of application document types. AI offering looks to be amazing and we are looking forward to leveraging that. Cons More granular control of settings would be useful as well as better API and LTI capabilities and conformity. You are able to share files on a team in a convenient way. Pros It is convenient. You can use it anywhere and it is very useful at work. You may be able to access files if you have no available copy saved on your laptop. It is good for backing-up your files and is very easy to access. It is also user friendly. Pros It works seamlessly. You install the desktop app and you can select which folders that you want to sync with your cloud storage. You can also choose which ones that you don’t want to sync. Cons I have no complain about Box because it does what it promised. But it would be nice if we could upload a file directly from the download link without having to download it first to the local storage. It makes it the best value out of all of the cloud storage solutions. I also appreciate the huge number of services, including it's new notes feature. Cons Though they have a huge amount of features I still feel like some of them have a few bugs that still need to be worked out. Specifically the notes app and organization structure. It is especially helpful if you have members that aren't local/intranet as it does support this without an issue vs. other similar tools. The dashboard to see what projects I have access to is intuitive to navigate. File management is also well-designed. Desktop folder sync comes in handy, but using the web interface is also as simple as drag and drop. Cons The only issue I have is sometimes seemingly random notifications about files/folders being deleted that I've never used. There is most likely a setting I have to change in personalization.
