Pros Very simple to use and been around a while so answers to mostly any question you may have with great support. There are so many storage options which is also nice to have in the back pocket. Cons Would say its more similar to Dropbox than some of the newer competitors out there and there way of doing cloud storage. Think it maybe getting a tad behind in my opinion. Best cloud storage service I've used" December 11, 2018 5.0 Pros \- I use Box for both personal and professional uses, and I love the simple web-based interface. - Integrates with Windows Explorer cleanly to save and upload files instantaneously. - Syncs with my computer quickly and doesn't use as many resources as other desktop cloud storage platforms. Cons \- There aren't too many third party programs/services out there that integrate with Box as they do with OneDrive or Dropbox. I've found that to be the biggest drawback. - Pricing for business teams is a bit steeper than their competition. We can share files and work on them together. Pros So far Box has been great. We use it to collaborate and work on our activity guide. It is used with the design team and print production. Pros There are many sharing options, it's simply to use and it support also sheets, docs and slides! Cons It would be nice if there are some integrations with Apple Shortcuts. Pros Box is one of the oldest cloud storage platoforms in the web, that means it have long history with clients and the customer support is very pointing to solve any question. The basic storage is a great plus, more than OneDrive, is an excellent storage support for files. Cons The trial version is a little bit shot, 14 days is not allways enough for organizing the whole work and stablish if it viable to buy the entire solution. Some integrations with online platforms like Office Online, have not all the features you could need in specific scenarios. The file sharing permissions were very detailed and unlike other platforms we had previously used. Very easy to manage admin portal. Good platform to recommend for SMB's who want to take advantage of enterprise data privacy features. Cons The desktop app for mac works very well but occasionally has glitches. Others softwares of backup usually offer this space only for the paying account, differently from Box. Cons The layout, from the site and from the app, is really basic. I use it to backup my photos and it is really difficult to view every photo. I'm able now to share in a secure way, not only information I'm also able to provide secure access and permissions to handle relevant information for groups of people. And also have a track for each interaction or edition of my data. I really think I can keep things under control in a secure way. Pros \- Multiplatform what allows to get access to your data any time everywhere. - Third-party compatibility with many other company apps. - Features like local storage to manage your own encryption are really appreciate and I think what it makes different this program from the others. - Sometimes I had noticed some unsynchronized issues when you check files on the cloud after made changes on desk application. It doesn't happen too much but it's not hard to notice. Cons \- Some features like the history of who edit or download a file, for example, are not easy to find. I think there is much to improve here. - Limit storage for some versions. Pros It is good if you work on your own and you dont need different people working and updating the same files. Cons Very bad when you work collaboratively wirh many people making changes. It is very confusing thebnumber of versions of the same file you might get. There is no way you can see online the changes that are being made by somebody else. Terrible UI" November 11, 2016 3.0 My company uses Box. It provides a good range of functionality, but the usability is borderline awful. The company chose Box in part because of security, so I understand the choice. But I dramatically prefer other solutions I've used for functionality: Dropbox and Adobe Creative Cloud (which is seriously lacking in some regards.) Box is very slow for up/download and sync, and the organization of folders and files is difficult. We've ended up with a lot of duplication of files and folders to address the mix of syncing and external sharing that we need to do. Love the idea, hate the usability. Pros Files are safe in the cloud and can be shared wit hothers. Cons Extraordinarily clunky interface, especially for syncing and sharing. Very basic and behind-the-times in comparison to other solutions like Dropbox. Review Source Brielan G. It is very simple to view and store files through this format. I have also found it to be the most universally accepted program across different platforms and devices. Cons I wish there was a better view size slider. I feel like I can only view pictures as small or extra big.
