June 25, 2018 5.0 I like that I can have everything in perfect order, and share it with other people. Academically it allows me to have access to multiple important materials, guides, instructions and books without using emails or downloading files on my computer, seeing them online. And from the social point of view I like that I can easily share photos and videos with friends and family, all having access to the files. Pros I like this software is the safe way to share jobs, photos and files with other people, quickly. And how useful it is for viewing by folders, and the order that allows you to see books, guides and important documents. Cons I do not like that sometimes by accidentally pressing some documents, they leave the folders. They should be able to be fixed in these so that the files are not disordered. Most other tools make you generate a custom link, so this simple feature is definitely where Box excels. Cons It's slow, clunky, and not as good as other options out there. We have employees that use it with different phones and PC's and it works the same for all of us. It is secure, and offers many features that help our business run efficiently and smoothly. Pros I love that it doesnt matter what platform you use (Android, Iphone, PC, Mac) that it works the same and syncs well. Cons I honestly can't think of any. Tasks usually need large files to be exchanged that was possible with Box! Pros The product is very easy to use. Box helped me to exchange documents/files with external vendors. My work-flow became very smooth while dealing with vendors as I do not need to make special request with my IT for unnecessary things that could be easily handled with Box. However, it has a very difficult competition in this area, because for more demanding users I think there are better platforms, which offer greater security options, more storage capacity and more bandwidth for downloads. Pros What I liked the most is the practicality of the platform for the file storage function. Uploading files to the cloud is made easy as well as the process of sharing them. I think even someone who is not very tech-savvy would use the platform well. Pros I like the reliability that Box has over OneDrive or DropBox, but unfortunately, my employee shifted from Box to OneDrive. Cons The Con of Box is that the user fee is so expensive for the business version of the application. I wish it was less. Pros What I like most about Box, is mainly its interface, not its storage, because clearly the interface is what has allowed all customers, to have a comfort and a long-term stay. Cons I do not like that Box is incompatible with iOS, I feel that this is a very necessary factor since it would allow sending and receiving files from this mobile platform, hopefully they will implement it in some future. This feels like better security in a corporation so you see who is looking at files and editing them. It's been a great way to manage forms and versions of documents in a fairly large and geographically diverse group. Pros The user interface makes the product easy to navigate. It's a very good solution for people inside a company to allow others to see documents and folders while still keeping them in a secure database. Cons It was unclear to me if links to folders expired. Sometimes I am not able to get into a folder to which I had been granted access earlier. It was not clear if the owner of the folder changed the settings. If a user becomes unauthorized, I think that person should get an email notification. Pros I love the shareability feature, and how easy it is to collaborate on projects that might contain sensitive information or material. Cons I wish that it was a little easier to understand the sharing hierarchy Box uses--I have sometimes shared folders with co-workers only to realize that I accidentally gave them "editor" access to other files I didn't intend to share. I haven't had any issues and it gives peace of mind knowing that if your hard drive crashes, anything in the Box directory will at least be safe. I got some kind of signup bonus that gave me more space. Cons Could always use more storage. As with any cloud backup solution, there could be security concerns. Also, if you accidentally delete files in your Box directory, they will be deleted from the server (though they may have a recovery solution for this). Review Source VD Veronica D. We needed a robust, simple to use cloud storage and sharing service. Though similar to Dropbox, Box has more features. Very easy to control who has access to documents. Plus it stores previous versions of the document when edits and changes are being made. Pros Easy to share documents while controlling access. Can set various permission levels. Cons Can get a little pricey if you sharing with multiple users. Pros Box is just amazing. A couple of things I love most about it are; I can access it right from File Explorer, no need to log in to anything to access my files. I can access my files anywhere at any time, I literally don't have to be at my desk in order to work. It's perfect for collaboration and teamwork It's very secure and has great privacy options. Cons Not really a con, but I wish the free version had more storage.
