Pros What box is great at is keeping files in sync across all the different environments you might need to access them. It is common to move from computer to computer, and always having your files there, solves a ton of problems. Cons Having copies of files in all your systems does, come with one main drawback. Storage space. As the entire team starts storing copies of files everywhere. Storage space can become an issue, but it is only a small issue. Pros Box is a solid option for storing files and sharing them but doesn't really offer anything that other services don't. Maybe the real benefit of box is its stunning unremarkableness. A system like this should just work to the point that you don't think about it too much. Cons There really wasn't anything to not like about this. It stored files and made them shareable. July 20, 2018 5.0 Pros I love that we can add our own branding to our user experience and that we get more storage and more features for a better price than we had on Dropbox. Cons Ultimately, Box customer support was able to help me get my account set up and configured properly. However, it seems to me that it was more confusing and took longer than it needed to. Instead of having every users acquiring a large subscription, only the Folder owner need it. I got my own subscription with 100Gb and share it with my whole family as a central management point for all party pictures. Cons The file size limit is 250 MB. When uploading Video, 1/3 are over 250MB. I need to use non-user friendly tools to split the video. The "view only" user can't sync the folder. Pros This cloud service is great for micro/small business. Offered features are very good. Best features are security, collaboration, 3rd party integration and administrative control. Cons It is needed to add feature that you can download separated files without compression before download. Other feature that is missing is a understandable permit level management. September 24, 2018 5.0 It allows me to store and share my files with my team. And we use it for that. Pros We use this software for file storage. We can share the stored files and this eases our work and saves a lot of time. The UI is very good, I love it! There are also training materials for not that experienced users. Pros Box is great for data storage. For me, I do research collaboration with other researchers from different universities. In many cases, we are required to share files so I just upload that file in designated box folder where everybody can access. It is also useful for backing up your research data. Cons It is just a storage platform so not much to dislike about. The pricing is very reasonable but it requires a minimum of 3 users, I don't know why. Although, it can be understood that a team will probably have at least 3 users. Multiple team members can work on a document online at the same time by uploading it in box but it is not that useful since it has less functionality than MS word. Pros I use this work to share files and documents with my colleagues. It is very easy to use and make new folders and add pdfs, documents and other files. I like how it sends an email when you share a new document with someone. Cons I have gotten used to using google drive and having all my documents, create documents and shared documents in one place. Pros I like sharing documents with a group through the Buckeye Box option and being able to access them 24/7 from any location vs. having to connect to the VPN. Cons I mostly use buckeye Box to share documents for viewing purposes. I haven't had a favorable/any experience working through documents live/in a collaborative way within the box. I also like the Notes feature with it's collaborative functions. In addition, for Microsoft Office users, the integration with Office 365 platform is seamless. Cons One thing I don't like about Box is that the price is a bit high compared to other cloud platforms. But then again, for a free user you get value since it provide a high storage. It's user-friendly and something to use for file sharing. Pros It's generally easy to use. You can figure it out easily. You might need to give yourself time to review where things are and how it looks but once you've got started it should be fine. Cons Sometimes it takes time from the file-sharing point to have the file appear. Pros It is very simple to figure out without any sort of guidance or tutorial. I think I prefer it to Dropbox, though they are very similar in what they do.
