Overall, it my prefer method of sharing documents that required collaboration with other members of the university. I enjoy the ease. I enjoy the web excel version or web word doc version for opening documents.

Pros

Box has helped me gather the event planning details from various campus partners and department. I create folder and documents i can share with individual department. The comment section of each file allows me and the collaborators to notify each other when something has been added or sonething new has been shared..it has definitely streamlined collaboration regarding events. I also enjoy that there are a saved versions of documents. You can go back and recover past renderings. Box has also been a game changer when it came to remote work. When I was preparing to move to remote work, i transfered my documents to Box. It was the best move I made.

Cons

The downside of Box is that it can look cluttered. I had to take extra measures to ensure my box dashboard is organized.

Box is an excellent cloud storage and collaboration platform, especially for businesses that prioritize security and document management. While it may have a slight learning curve and some premium-only features, it remains a dependable solution for secure file sharing and teamwork.

Pros

Box is a secure and reliable cloud storage platform that makes it easy to store, organize, and share files. It offers strong collaboration features, version history, and advanced security controls, making it a great choice for businesses and teams working on shared documents.

Cons

The interface can feel less intuitive than some competitors, and certain advanced features are only available on higher-priced plans. The free storage is also limited compared to other cloud storage services.

Its has had its ups and downs over the years. Recently it has gotten better but I do wish the storgae options were more competitive.

Pros

I like that it will automatically download my photos and files. This keeps my files secure in the event my phone is missing or destroyed.

Cons

I think the options to buy bigger plans should be more affordable. The limited options dont always fit everyones needs.

Pros

It is most widely used in our district for internal communication documents. It includes the notes page where a document can be live and various groups can be created.

Cons

Sometimes it gets complicated with too many groups. It generally do not allow access outside the district email log in.

Box remains a dependable and secure solution for managing and sharing large files across our team. Aside from some occasional syncing delays that can cause minor version confusion, the platform is stable, intuitive, and critical to our workflow.

Pros

It remains a highly secure platform that makes sharing large files across team members incredibly simple and seamless.

Cons

The occasional delay in file synchronization makes it easy for team members to inadvertently open and edit outdated file versions.

Prior to Box, users were leaving numerous unorganized files throughout their computers/hard-drives, however these files are now stored in Box. Admin time for opening new user accounts has decreased by approximately 40% thanks to Box. The customer support is excellent.

Pros

Box has been working and storing all of my files as well as sorting them via the folder templates automatically. I was also concerned about integrating with DocuSign causing us to lose control of our network but thankfully that did not occur either. We are currently able to store over 20TB of data in Box. As an added bonus, since the conference room has been double booked and the other group is literally going to kick me out of here in the next few minutes, I will be able to complete this review very quickly. You may set-up automation rules based upon client types. Sometimes the OCR does read the text.

Cons

Since the desktop companion app freezes so frequently, I have to close/reopen it each time I attempt to scan a document using the local office scanner. In addition, loading large video files takes too long. If you forget to enter even one metadata tag, the file disappears completely due to the fact that search is extremely strict/unforgiving.

Overall, I enjoyed using Box. Sharing files securely made workflow an easier process when the receiving end didn't question what was being sent.

Pros

I liked how easy and simple it was to securely share files and documents by sending a simple link. Uploading documents/files was always fast.

Cons

I didn't have any negative things to say about Box when I used it. If I needed to make a change to an excel file, I would have to download it first, but I was able to view the file within Box.

Overall, Box provides a secure and reliable platform for document management, particularly in environments where compliance and control are important. While there may be some usability challenges, it delivers strong functionality for organisations that prioritise governance and structured file management.

Pros

Box offers strong security and governance features, making it well suited for managing sensitive business documents. File sharing is straightforward, with clear permission controls and audit capabilities. It also supports collaboration through comments, versioning, and integrations with other enterprise tools, helping teams work efficiently across different functions.

Cons

The user interface can feel less intuitive compared to some other cloud storage platforms. Navigation and file organisation may require more effort, particularly for new users. Certain features, such as advanced integrations or automation, may depend on additional configuration or licensing.

Pros

Box is easy to use and is one of my favorite project management tools; it offers a wide range of highly useful features. It allows me to efficiently share folders with my colleagues and collaborators. Their customer service is also responsive.

Cons

Using Box individually is frustrating because you don't have access to their full potential, unlike in a corporate setting. I also noticed that the interface isn't as smooth as that of other software.

Pros

Our agency team has been using Box for many years and is particularly impressed by how much the software has evolved. New features and extensions are regularly introduced and they are truly compelling. I had all my contacts, leads, clients and employees there. I could not only track projects but also manage independent calendars and conversations within the tool.

Cons

The complexity is both a blessing and a curse. The learning curve is comparatively long. The user interface has limited customizability. Upgrading to the premium version results in too many different versions making it confusing.
