Overall: I was recently hired by a small manufacture in Fort Myers Fl after relocating from Northeast Ohio.

Back in the Cleveland area I was maintenance director for a mid size, 100 + employees and primarily responsible for the implementation of their first modern CMMS program.

The initial investigation was an extensive undertaking with myself taking the lead for a team collaboration.

Many hours were spent on trying to identify the features we needed that would fit our target dollar investment. Eventually we narrowed the field to the "Fab Five" ranging in price from $2500 to well over $10,000 for the base modules.

I only tell you this as a comparison to the SS-CMMS program. Most of the features I had wanted for the larger company can be found within this software at a tremendous value for any size company.

We only have a handful of machines and nothing is so sophisticated as to warrant spending thousands of dollars to track basic maintenance.

Working with a very limited budget, I was amazed to discover the SS-CMMS program that has all the necessary components that was truly affordable for Mom and Pop to the Major Players in the manufacturing field.

This software, like many others, will allow you to take control of the daily operations within your facility but at a fraction of the cost.

1. Work orders generated manually or setup to reoccur at intervals you setup.

2. Preventive maintenance schedules that can remind you ahead of time so you can coordinate with individual departments to keep downtime to minimum.

3. Parts tracking that will deduct your on hand inventory as the parts are used for repairs.

4. Critical spare parts reminders when stock reaches a re-order level that you set

5. Quick visual analysis of where your time is being spent. Scheduled, Reactive, Preventative



There are too many features to list so my advise is to give it a shot. The only thing you have to lose is the time it takes to download the fully functional demo.

Recommendations to other buyers: Any data is only as good as the information it is based on. Use the software as intended, every day. The more you input the easier it is to sort, retrieve and analyze.

Pros: It's simplicity which addresses the basic needs of maintaining equipment's and since it's Web based the idea of getting the needed information on the repairs made and the needed parts in real time is one of it's best features.

Cons: Basically some upgrades would be considered to make it a complete system

Overall: I was tasked by my company to improve our services department since the industry is becoming more keen on outsourcing maintenance of their equipment, I had the idea to implement the use of a Maintenance Management Software so I search the WEB for something that generally meets the requirements of a company transitioning from manual tracking to a computerized system and guess what I came across SS-CMMS at first I was reluctant why because it literally met the general requirements I've set Simple,Web Based and of course the "COST" to acquire, now during the trial I made activity ,dispatch simulations that I will need to interface the system with our business which is primarily Repair and Maintenance of clients equipment's and the result is simple SS-CMMS is a system that gives you everything you "NEED" to manage R & M it does not give you the "WANT" now considering we wanted to improve our service infrastructure at the least possible cost then this was the system we needed, the main thing to keep in mind is when I presented the system to the management and our clients was we were there to provide their "NEEDS" not their "WANTS" and explained if they "WANT" more than what they "NEED" the maintenance cost would go up because of some features that is rarely gonna be used and just because they "WANT" it , so that's it use the system as it is and what it was meant to do just keep in mind the value for your money and last but not the least I understand that this is on it's Start Up stage but I wanted the say thanks to Rob for developing this management system and continue improving so that the day will come when it would be the most preferred system in the market.

Recommendations to other buyers: Yes use SS-CMMS as it is, a system to manage your day to day maintenance "Needs".

Comments: I am new to Facilities Management and actually only stepped into this role because the previous guy was on medical leave. After spending almost a year spinning wheels and figuring out where everything is, I decided I just HAD to computerize a work order system to keep track of things. Preventative Maintenance was being forgotten because of some other fire that had to be put out and there was no definitive list of what was being worked on and what stage it was at.

I researched options and found systems that people swear by, but just weren't economically feasible for our church's budget. There were free systems available too, but what I was finding either A) didn't work out of the box, and there was no support - or B) MIGHT work, if I had a spare web-server laying around, time to learn Linux and how to program everything into the web-page, an MX record to point emails to, a domain-name to tie it all together, and a DMZ on the firewall that I could hang it off of.

Then I saw a mention about a well-written solution that's not that well known: SS-CMMS. Checking out the website, I saw that it would accept email entries as well as prioritize work loads. It also has some inventory capabilities and ...AND... IT CAN HELP KEEP TRACK OF PM's!!!! Using the trial period, I set up reminders for checking mouse traps, certifying Fire Extinguishers, changing HVAC filters, even "burping" the maintenance valves on the fire suppression systems.

I was expecting a kludgy, eccentric system that was going to require extensive knowledge of anacronyms and terminology I didn't know. What I got was a ready-to-use system that didn't require late-night studying and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I could use it right away to start helping me keep track of my work...even in the trial stage.

But BY FAR, the best thing about this system I've found has been the tech support. Even during my trial period, I was getting answers to questions and even help with problems WITHIN AN HOUR of submitting a request for help. I can't even give a response that fast most times. I know, as things progressively get larger, I may not always get that fast of a response. But I have been wowed! Not only speedy, but the help was actually helpful! What a rarity in computer support. We bought lifetime license because of it. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Pros: This program generates my Preventive maintenance task on what ever frequency I need and set for the machines . This has greatly helped keep Machines properly maintained and resulted in less frequent machine down time. Also like having the ability to keep inventory of my commonly used Parts. The software also warns you when inventory is low for that part.

Cons: When you complete an active work order it takes you back to page one of the active work order log. might even be a way to fix this I could just be unaware of it.

Overall: Has been Great! After using another system at previous company, this software has so many more useful features and easy to navigate. Set up on new equipment, in the system, is also very easy with this software. Has done a great job at helping reduce machine brake down as well as keeping me organized.

A convenient CMMS program with all the features you NEED without the complexities of all the others.

Pros: The program provides everything we need and more without all the fluff the others offer. We demo'ed many other systems over a course of 10 months before committing to SS-CMMS and we couldn't be more satisfied with our decision. We have been using SS-CMMS for over two years now and we continue to find areas that it's able to assist in....beyond simple machine and facility maintenance. We have now included our entire gage calibration program into the software....and now we can be certain we will never have an out of calibration situation within our organization.

Overall: Hands down the best CMMS software we tested. Over a 10 month period, we tested over a dozen of the most popular packages out there and this was the absolute best for us!

Pros: Simple, the software doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a Maximo or other major vendor's CMMS but it does what most small and medium sized users will want, it handles work orders well.

Cost effective - most small and medium sized companies want something that isn't going to break the bank, SS-CMMS definitely delivers on that front. We are a small non-profit housing co-op and we don't have a lot of money, SS-CMMS was within our budget for maintenance software.

Web hosted - Our business does not have the IT infrastructure to host our own database servers. SS-CMMS is entirely web based with the option to download your data. Fit our needs perfectly.

Excellent customer service - we've encountered a bug or two and reported them to the developers, we get fast responses and quick fixes. We've been very happy with the customer service to date.

Cons: The only down side we've found so far is a somewhat clunky user interface in some areas, but with the responsiveness of the developers I would expect this to improve over time.

Overall: Overall we have been very happy with our SS-CMMS experience. As a small non-profit housing co-operative trying to do a good job maintaining our housing assets it has been an invaluable tool to track what maintenance is happening and make sure work doesn't get forgotten about. Two thumbs up!

Pros: This system is pretty straight forward. Very easy to learn and implement.

Cons: I wish the dash was more configurable. Each Tech could filter just the work orders that are assigned to them. I would also like to be able to see the status of the work orders at a glance without having to open each one. i.e. waiting on material, hold, complete, pending.

Overall: We were struggling at our metal fabricating plant because we were 20 years behind in terms of our maintenance department. No PM program, no ability to track breakdowns, and no accountability.

I looked into getting a cmms implemented but as soon as upper management saw the price of these programs it was shot down. Then I learned of Rob's SS-CMMS and of the free demo I had no choice but to try it. It has been extremely helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: I suggest building your database of equipment and locations first, before you begin writing work orders because if you stop writing a work order to add equipment, you just lose all the other info on your new work order. Obviously you cant beat the price for the functionality. A fantastic value and I recommend it to anyone.

As for creating new WO's and adding equipment, you can do this. There is a link on the create WO page to add equipment. Click this and a new window will open to add equipment. When finished, you merely need to go back to the previous create WO window and do a refresh.

Overall: When I first went looking for CMMS software, I found plenty. I just didn't want to spend thousands of dollars for it. I googled for free software, found SS-CMMS and others. Tried 3 of them and saw that this software had almost everything we needed to start. Rob was always working on updates. It got better and better. It got so good that I was willing to send him some money to keep him at it. It wasn't much. He kept doing his thing for about a year that we used it. He made a good case for subscriptions. We have subscribed when he did that and renewed this year. He is still making it better and better. I think that right now it is better than most of the expensive software out there and easier to use.

Pros: Like it's ease of use and clarity. Nothing Complicated. Simply laid out. Efficient. Like that suggestions are well received. Listen to client needs.

Cons: With the new server every screen has % loading which slows down process but you adapt.

Overall: SS-CMMS allows for tracking service repairs, parts in inventory, and scheduled maintenance. It allows for specific reports and track spending. It's very user friendly. Highly recommend.

Pros: The compartmented setup for locations and work orders is ideal for quickly referencing up to date information on our assets. Unlimited users makes the communication very fluid between departments and upper management.

Cons: The search engine could have a few changes to make one less click for every PM completed. When quick compelting 30 or more PMs in one day. Each and every cleared pm will restart you at the top of the list. On a mobile device this requires lots of scrolling and makes for a tedious clean up if the list lapses for a day or two. A mobile app would be extremely handy and hopefully better oriented towards Android devices.

Overall: For the low price. This software cannot be competed with by the larger expensive cmms programs. It has all the functionality I need for my department. A few changes to make searches and navigation quicker would be great, but I am satisfies with the way it is now. Thanks for providing such a value for such a low price!

Overall: I started with the free system to see how it would work for my operation. It is a low end system as far as features but works well for our business. The e-mail work order generation makes it easy to track and prioritize trouble calls. There are areas in need of improvement but seems to be a work in progress with updates coming out every now and then.

Overall: I hunted and tried a few different products before finding SS-CMMS. None compared to what is offered for the money. Also nothing I found was as easy to operate as well. I have used SS-CMMS at two different employers now one as a facility director and now as a project manager. I recommend this online tool. It is easy to train others to use as well which makes it a plus allowing others to help load data and manage day to day work flow. Summary, great product highly recommend.

Comments: We bought SS-CMMS, as a budget maintenance planning pack as we needed a system that was basic, no thrills, easy to use and useable on pc and smart phone. The system met all these criteria and suits our needs perfectly. But we've experience considerable issues with the date related PM items, it does not follow the parameters you set into the system, in particular, setting a repeat item only after completing the current task, and only setting a PM task 1week before it's due. In fact the actual date due on certain WO set by the PM system can be many years in advance (up to 10!!). We have spent considerable time talking to the SS-CMMS admin staff who have been great in trying to resolve the problems, they seem to be getting on top of it and hopefully soon it will function as it should. I'm not sure if the date issues are caused by us using the English date format?!

If you want to use the system solely for WO generation, defect recording, then it's a great tool and fantastic value.

We intend to continue to use the system and hopefully these issues will all get ironed out in due course.

Pros: It's got more features than I currently use, but I can grow into them

Cons: Very text heavy in the interface

Overall: I started using SS-CMMS for basic work order requests but expanded into using it for inventories and project tracking. I like that my staff can get in one place to make requests and hear back from each other about how their request is being handled.

Cons: not enough levels of authority, would like to look at history of a machine and see what has happened in a clearer presentation than reading every work order.

Overall: This software allows us to document all of our maintenance activities. Our machines have historical records of the PMs and any repairs. Maintenance is alerted by email and on the dashboard of work orders. It is intuitive and easy to use. We have had a few questions and rep responds within hours with detailed answers and great customer service. The simplicity of the program does not have lots of features, but this is why it is so easy to use and gets the job done without spending a lot of time in the program.

Recommendations to other buyers: Downloading data is possible, but a little awkward.

Pros: Easy to input information into the system. I also like that you can use email to send in service tickets.

Cons: Reporting has to be saved into a .csv file before you can do anything with it. Also the dash board is nice just wish you could print reports from that screen quickly.

Overall: If you're just getting started with a CMMS software this one is a good pick. Day to day use is wonderful. Reporting is where you find your limitations. But for the money you really can't complain about that.

Recommendations to other buyers: You get what you pay for. If you want the reporting side to be better you will have to spend a lot more money than what this software offers. But you can easily operate your day to day work with this software and work on you on reports in excel.

Pros: The cost and simplicity of use.

Cons: Its handling of special characters and its tendency to replace manually entered dates with default dates of 1969 or 2069.

Overall: SS-CMMS's simplicity of use is a great advantage over other systems I have seen. It is not without issues such as special characters sometimes refusing to print or worse failing to print anything after they are encountered. However the developers are quick to respond to issues encountered and I have not found any system to be without issues. This system is arguably the best value for out there for low-volume users.

Pros: The setup and daily use is very intuitive. You don't need to be an uber-geek to use this. It has a large variety of options to choose from. This makes it customizable.

Cons: The PM setup can take a while to get used to. Some of the drop down options have too many choices. It's like having too much of a good thing.

Overall: It helped us to go fully digital on our maintenance and service request system. No more paperwork. We have the option to store completed requests for future reference and to track reoccurring issues.

Cons: It has clumsy navigation and the the views seem jumbled together. It would be nice to be able to custom arrange the view.

Cons: Doesn't do everything a more expensive piece of software does! I needed to learn some ways to work around certain issues.

Overall: I have worked with MP2 and SAP Global for maintenance tracking at different place and needed a Maintenance Tracking Software for my first job as a supervisor, SS-CMMS seems to fit perfectly! If corporate issues an edict to use a centralized software then I haven't invested a small fortune on something we can't use. No putting up internal servers or IT support! Simple web interface to make it easy to use and unlimited users!

SS-CMMS is not perfect, there are some limitations to it and not without it's draw backs but considering the price and what it does do I have already found some techniques that I use for a work around and it is hard to justify not recommending this to almost any small business or for a firs time setting up a CMMS system!

Recommendations to other buyers: Use browser tabs so you can go back to pages without having to click through menu's, don't put comma's anywhere in a text box as it messes up reports and accept the fact that it can't do some things...

Comments: This is a user friendly, access anywhere computer program, for a reasonable price. I'm a manager at a hotel, it is a great way to track what work is being done when I'm there or at home. I can run reports to see who fixed what. It's also a great program for tracking parts and having all the information in the program where to buy what part from. It's also good for budget to see where my employee's time and parts are going.

Within 1/2 hour this person had emailed 6 times asking extremely silly questions like what is "meter".

Did not even look at docs.

We are ALWAYS here to help, but you do have to help yourself first.

Comments: When I began to use SS-CMMS I was new to maintenance management. No matter how many reminder notes I made some tasks would be forgotten. The Dashboard is the perfect heads-up display of outstanding work orders. Some records are more important than others and SS-CMMS allows me to use as much or as little detail as I want in completing a work order. Reports are easy to generate and flexible in their configuration. Between the phones, radio and catching me in the halls my departments are happy they have one more way to get in touch with me. --Thanks for the great product at a great price--

Overall: I needed a cost effective way to manage work orders for our church on a shoestring budget. I shopped around. Tested SS-CMMS 30 days for free. Discovered that with some manipulation of the database design, I could make this software work for us. I've been on it 5 months now and have not intention of abandoning SS-CMMS for a more robust system for much more money. You can't beat the price of SS-CMMS, but have to be willing to accept and/or work with its limitations. Some minor improvements I could suggest would be user defined table for work order "status" and "type" and a report writer with greater options for building queries and export link to MS Excel.

Recommendations to other buyers: Experiment with setting up user defined options in a test "free" environment and carry work orders and preventive maintenance all the way through a process. Then run reports. You will want to see the limitations in how the report generator presents data in order to decide how you want to build out your tables and enter work orders.

Pros: SS-CMMS is so easy to use! I rolled this out in a production facility with three shifts, and all three shifts started using this system immediately, even before i "trained" them all.

I apologize for having to take the website to pay. It was the only way I could keep it up. You see, I have to quit my job to care full time for my wife who has Alzheimer's disease. She now need constant care and assistance. I discussed this in the forums and Facebook pages to a small point, it all came about rather quickly. I'm very sorry you didn't get the messages. I had decided to shut it all down, but when surveying members nearly all said they would gladly pay a small fee to keep what they have. By taking SS-CMMS pay I can stay home, take care of my wife, and work on the website. The money in no way will support the three of us but it will help.

Although not free anymore, I don't think you'll find another unlimited CMMS system for a lower price. There will be many upgrades soon.

I would like to give you another few months of free trial so you have time to make the decision on where to move. I'm very sorry for the troubles.

Overall: I was hired to get a PM system in place, and had to start from nothing. I stumbled on this wonderful SS-CMMS which allowed me to try it's full functionality for 30 days free! In the first week of use, I had all of our machinery in the system and had begun inputting repair parts. This is such an easy system to get started with. While using the reports, I found that it didn't have quite what I needed, so I wrote tech support, and by the next morning found my issue solved. Outstanding customer service, and my boss was really impressed with how quickly my maintenance folks got into using the software.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you haven't started using maintenance software yet, get this one! Even those who are not familiar with computers will find it quite easy to get into and use.

Overall: On Aug. 24, 2016 I posted a bug on the forums regarding PM work order generation issues after following recommendation on how to make 'daily' PMs for weekdays only.

Even after posting pictures and evidence on the forums I still have yet to receive any reply and it's Oct 11. I did however get this email to make a review.

This one issue is keeping me from enjoying this $48/dollar per year software. Features/cost are great, but there is no support at all in my experience.

Recommendations to other buyers: Test for full month. My problems don't show up until PM's are repeated or missed.

Cons: The thing I like least about the software is the lack of a KEY field. The Asset Number should be a key field; the system should prevent the use of duplicate Asset numbers. Asset numbers need to be unique identifier much like SSN, student numbers, driver license #, etc.

Overall: good but primarily used to support educational concepts associated with CMMS and maintenance management

Overall: We purchased the "lifetime" subscription of this program and are using it throughout our company for plant and farm maintenance, as well as for our fabrication shop. One of the biggest benefits of this program is that we didn't have to purchase any kind of invoicing software in order to "buy and sell" within the company. Overall: As a Director of Engineering for a full service Marriott property my goal was to take our existing paper based Maintenance recording system to a digital format. My budget was Zero for such a system so I spent a considerable amount of time looking at several options. I found SS-CMMS, used the full featured free trial and fell in love with the simplistic approach, easy set up, and no nonsense experience of its use. I purchased the annual subscription myself to show how valuable a system such as this can be in terms of operation efficiency, and record keeping to my Hotel management. After review of the successes SS-CMMS has brought to our Hotel I have been reimbursed, and a budget line has been created to continue its operation. I highly recommend SS-CMMS to anyone looking for a simple yet effective means of managing your maintenance operation.

Cons: The overlap between Work Order creation allowing you to create a preventive maintenance item, but not making it a regularly recurring item is a little odd; and that I can't sort PM calendar by location (yet).

Overall: We've been implementing this software in a company with about 140 employees, and so far the results have been extremely positive. The software is easy to use, relatively intuitive, and has enough power and functionality to allow us to coordinate our Corrective and Preventive maintenance programs through it. The only suggestion I'd have for the company producing this is that they allow us to sort PM calendar by location, since we're spread over 3 facilities, and each has its own unique PM requirements. Great software! Would recommend.

Pros: The software is easy to use and easy to navigate through. I also like that it gives you a pie chart, we don't use it much but in the future I think we will and it will be very useful.

Cons: I would like for it to be a little more detailed. Maybe a spot to enter a name when a WO or PM are done, being able to put who completed it would be nice.

Overall: This program allows us to keep track of cleaning logs for inspection records. We also use this as reminders to do daily, weekly or monthly maintenance such as gutter cleaning and little things that are easy to forget to do.

Cons: Would be nice to have a field to enter expected amount of time each work order will take to complete.

Overall: We have been using SS-CMMS at ENKI Brewing to track our equipment and maintenance. I am able to load all the data for our equipment such as model and serial numbers as well as dates of install and any notes about each item. The email for work order creation and notification of work orders needing to be completed is also a nice feature. Anyone can enter a work request for something needing to be fixed etc and the responsible person will be notified of the work. I also like the PM feature to schedule regular maintenance be it weekly, monthly, yearly etc. We have not tapped into all of the features of SS-CMMS as of this time but will be doing so moving forward.

Cons: Not a con per se, but having more options as far as exporting and customizing reports would be helpful. Having an app for an iPhone would be a suggestion, but other than that it does what I need it too.

Overall: I've only been using this software for 2-3 months, but I've already seen so many issues or feature requests brought up and added or fixed. I work for a very large company that utilizes another maintenance management software. However, due to the massive continent wide spanning scope of that software, and different user levels, I'm unable to track individual part failures to the degree I feel necessary. SS-CMMS is inexpensive enough yet robust enough that I am able to manage my parts inventory, keep track of my project work, and identify repeat failures.

Works good. Reports that you can read. Storage feature nice.

Pros: Well organized with several filtering options.

Email a work order is helpful for submitting on the fly.

Cons: I do not see a way to modify the forms easily. It would be nice to be able to remove or hide components that I will never use.

Haven't found a way to attach photos to the work orders. It may be there but I haven't figured it out yet.

Overall: I am a relatively new user but am impressed with the platform. Other options were beyond our budget. I love that I can email work orders in while in the field.

Recommendations to other buyers: The complete work order selections are not user intuitive. They are in code on the right side of the page and you have to learn what each one does by either reading the fan or by experimenting.

Pros: It's affordable, if you have multiple jobs for multiple people it does keep things tidy.

Cons: I don't find it that easy to use. The program will crash quite often .

Overall: It's good for work orders, but we were hoping it would be able to be used as a has for small jobs but it's not that great in this regard.

Pros: The ease of use. Seriously, this is perfect for a small to medium business. It has everything that you need, at a very small fraction of the cost of other competitors. I looked around and SS-CMMS can't be beat. This is a bare bones, no frills system, but still has reporting capabilities that meet most people's needs.

Overall: All of my PMs were easily created. WOs are a breeze to set up also. I like that the equipment can be tied into the location and generate reports based on that information.

Pros: Ease of use, web-based access. Low cost

Cons: Have had logging issues in the past, but received quick tech support when I have.

Overall: I needed a CMMS for the same reasons this software was founded. A simple and inexpensive option for a small facility that doesn't overly complicate things. This has worked well for that!

Recommendations to other buyers: Would love if we could get QR coding added, where a tech could scan the equipment and have quick acess to reporting. With the readily available smartphones, it would dovetail nice into the system.

Comments: The web based solution covers the basics that we needed without all the bloat of many of the other CMMS out there. The cost is also very attractive to us. As a church, we try to be good stewards of the money entrusted with us. Spending thousands on software was not a viable option for us.

The data entry is simple and easy to understand. The features that are available work!

There are a few glitches. Logging in can take a few attempts in Safari and Chrome.

Of course there are features I would like to see added, but then it would bloat up like the others, so simplicity it is!

If you have questions, they are answered promptly.

If you are looking for a simple, low cost CMMS, this is your solution.

Pros: The system is easy to learn and not overly complicated. If an issue is discovered with the programing, a quick email though the help line is all that is required. Issues are resolved very promptly. Communication is awesome!

Cons: It is a Catch 22. because the system is easy, and simple to use, the information tracked is not equal to the more complicated systems

Overall: After using SS-CMMS for another small business, I suggested using it for Rental Dept. where I work part time - many pieces of rental equipment require routine and preventative maintenance, so SS-CMMS was very helpful in providing a schedule for that - in particular, was helpful with hour meter based PM's which were hard to keep track of in the past - SS-CMMS program is easy to use and set-up - support is awesome - also very economically priced for a small business - highly recommend !

Comments: I have discovered SS-CMMS 4 months ago. Couldn't believe it was free (at that moment) and had been for a couple of years. It is plain ,simple and easy to use, without complicating functionality. It is not industry specific, thus making it flexible. It costs a fraction compared to other CMMSs. No middle men, talk directly to developer. Has a dedicated forum.

Basic reporting, exports to excel. Few glitches which would be fixed. Feature request available. I have given 3 stars because I couldn't give 3.5 as this has a lot of potential.

Pros: Ease of use, ease of deployment and training. Very functional and easy to maintain/setup

Cons: I wish there was a little more on the options to get specified reports, or better time stamps.

Overall: We used to fight with Smartware's Bigfoot program. Between the cost per person to use, extra features such as email, mobile device, X amount of people, and machines. This program eliminated that headache and made it so that we could easily deploy throughout multiple facilities. Customer service has been nothing but stellar!

Recommendations to other buyers: If your using a CMMS based program for PM's or maintenance, this is the way to go. Cheap and efficient.

Pros: I like that it runs on the web, IOS, and Android.

It is not too complicated so the techs can use it without training.

The support is super. The owner contacts me quickly anytime there is an issue.

Cons: Some of the panels are not as intuitive as I would like.

We have been having issues with the phone based apps crashing.

Overall: The one price license is a great model so we don't have to decide who can use it. Keeping a good record of when something is reported and what is outstanding was a problem before. It has improved our operations.

Comments: I've worked in the maintenance/repair field for forty-five years. Most of that time, maintenance was documented and maintained on paper files. Cumbersome at best. I've looked at many commercial maintenance management systems over the years. Most seemed to be created for the bean counters and not the people getting their hands dirty. What few passable programs I found always seemed to be lacking something. I knew what I needed in a CMMS program but lacked the skills to create something usable. Rob Cochran's SS-CMMS has done exactly that! He's created a user-friendly, compact, quick, and comprehensive program that serves my needs. I'm sure there are many other happy, smiling faces out there that feel the same.

Pros: Simple and inexpensive to use. This is the fifth CMMS that I have been involved with setting up and the fourth from day one. I was able to do in one day what took weeks or months to do on the others.

Cons: Haven't found one yet. This has only been implemented a very short time but the simplicity overcomes any errors that I have found. One issue is that I would like to be able to customize some of the fields I use.

Overall: Simple and allowed me to start using it from the moment I enrolled.

Pros: There is a very user friendly interface and setup which is further enhanced by the interactive help screens available. It is obvious that a maintenance engineer has produced the system as the understanding of correct maintenance practices shines through.

Cons: For the price there is very little to complain about. It would be nice to have a more robust mobile solution and perhaps time windows in the PM calendar but I am sure they will come as developemnt proceeds

Overall: I carry out evaluations of different types of software solutions for companies of all sizes and types in the UK. I have recently trialled SS-CMMS and can honestly say that it is a genuine fully featured CMMS in the cloud for an extremely low outlay which could be used by companies wanting a powerful but very cost effective solution

Pros: It seems easy to learn. The entries are usually self-explanatory. The Tab options are easy and intuitive. Have not used all of it yet.

Cons: I am testing the trial version and putting in our files one at a time to learn the system. Creating the CSV files are not friendly enough. I find it difficult to take into excel or to create a Monarch model to export into excel.

A download button (function) of WO that is a CSV file would really extend things without a lot of work for you. The current download is a html file and it isn't clean enough to really use.

Our organization uses some budget "buckets" that the budget function can't handle. Having a clean CSV download would allow us to do what we need to do.

Comments: After researching many new and existing CMMS systems I came across Ss-CMMS. The product has a short learning curve and provides all the basic features I need for facility and lab equipment maintenance management for our small facility. Customer support is exceptional with the creator and database manager responding to needs and bugs by email sometimes within minutes. He is constantly updating and adding new, yet simple features routinely. Albiet this is not the super fancy 'pretty' interface some companies offer but for basic information management I find no other software service came close for the price... there are some features I'd like to see, such as easier photo uploading to work orders, but he's getting there.

Pros: Price, Speed, Ease of Use.

Cons: Currently no way to setup different locations with different time zones.

Overall: Our company was using some ancient facilities management software (still had to install off 3.5" floppies ancient). I looked around and tried out a number of different opensource offerings, some that were great but our company decided they wanted to go with a hosted solution.

Most hosted solutions start around $25/mo/user which was more than we could spend. I had to do a few double takes for SS's pricing.

We plan to use 3 separate accounts for our 3 main locations - that is 1 feature that could be expanded on, you can put different locations in the software, but there is no way to setup separate time zones for each location.

Overall it has worked great so far here, our maintenance guy took a couple days to get everything entered in and maintenance schedules setup.

Pros: The price of this product is really worth it. It is easy to use.

Comments: I was looking for a Maintenance software to try. I was worried to spend the money on one of the big packages and then my employees not use the software. I tried SS-cmms with the anticipation of switching to one of the other programs after my people got used to using a CMMS program but we have stayed with SS-CMMS because it has everything we need.

Pros: Ease of use,

Cons: No live support but they are very attentive to e-mails
