The demo on the site looked useful and I did the mistake of going with it. Followed the documentation available on the site but I couldn't push any data to Blackfire as mentioned. I wrote to support telling them that its not working for me. No one turned up the first day. The next day I asked them for my refund. They said that I've used the service and hence they couldn't refund the money now. This was on the 3rd day of struggling with the setup. Looks like a trap specifically with no upfront trial. Even to try you have to put your credit card in and pay atleast 159$. Stay away! Pros Nothing. I couldn't even set it up properly. Cons 1\. It doesn't have a trial 2. Difficult to setup. Assigned a task to our staff to work with the platform and get the validation going. The platform just locks every visible area behind a paywall with the lowest cost plan being the $100/mo option, unless we subscribe for an annual membership. Customer service staff just refused to help or prove any worth of the product without a license purchase. Pros Was hoping to give it a go with our codebase but was faced with no way to try the product unless we get an expensive license. Cons Absolute lack of care by their customer service team and lack of care for sales. It is slow (takes days for them to respond even AFTER they have read your message; you can see that in their chat). They provide halve answers (if you ask 2 things they will only respond to the last item) and their responses are halve-assed bordering rude and totally useless. Pros We found various improvement opportunities in our code base Cons \- it is not clear what they define as a 'profile' - they count calls to same API endpoint with the same method (POST, GET, HEAD etc) as different profiles - they have an unwritten max of 1000 profiles a day (see prev point you will hit this in no time if you are looking for optimizations instead of very specifically testing parts of your app) Review source Non-incentivized review: any software user can leave a review for any product listed on our site. Our customer support has responded to all of your requests despite your passive-aggressive tone. Our chat is provided as a convenience, and any chat request which isn't answered in real-time will receive an answer via email. Our documentation gives great details as of what a profile is, including a full book available for free on the topic: https://blackfire.io/docs/book/index The profiling limit is clearly stated on our pricing page: https://blackfire.io/pricing As stated everywhere in our documentation, Blackfire as of now is a Profiler, not a Monitoring tool. It is not build to instrument real end-user traffic, nor for creating thousands of profiles a day. That being said, I don't believe sending poor reviews on a platform out of frustration helps in any way.
