At least I am not worried about the data leaking during those times we discuss confidential topics, because the security is very secure. Pros The AI for taking minutes is actually working, which is odd because most software like this doesn’t do much of anything. I like being able to take a whole agenda from last months’ meeting and simply change the date. I’ve been worried my iPhone would crash during a vote, so far, no problem. When I need help, I’ve had good luck getting someone to answer the phone at support. Cons Getting this to communicate with all of our other applications is a nightmare. It’s frustrating that the auto-numbering feature still does not work for agendas. I also hate dealing with the board member who won’t enable two factor authentication (2FA), it creates so much hassle in trying to resolve their issues. Diligent Boards certainly helped make my board process more consistent and therefore predictable and easier to administer. Pros I use Diligent Boards is for preparing and disseminating the Board Books, structuring the agenda and aggregating all the documentation pertinent to a meeting into a single location. As part of my new regular routine, I upload documents and update the board books close to the time of the meeting so that directors can find the information they need both prior to and during each meeting. Cons Although certain aspects of the interface are somewhat antiquated and some of the features such as Search etc, take a bit of time to get used to. And there is an occasional lag during peak times of the day when I’m trying to push through rapid fire updates. It provides me with an organized, up to date single location in which to store and share everything, So much more efficient for board prep and communication. It’s simplified our governance process and eliminated a great deal of manual work that we used to have to do before every meeting. Pros I use Diligent Boards to run our board meetings, designing and distributing materials to gathering approvals and signatures. The coolest thing is how easy it is to both tweak and share board books, even at the last moment. It saves a ton of time because I don’t have to repost entire packets when one document changes as everything is always up to date and organized for the board. Cons Sometimes the interface seems a bit dated and could do with some better navigation such as when I want to go back and forth between two sections or browse through past documents. Some of our less tech savvy directors still have to be reminded about how to access or sign materials but that can slow you down.
