I believe that it will really elevate our event, and love that our volunteers were able to set it up without countless work. Pros The app was in our budget, and very user-friendly for us to set up. We are an all-volunteer organization, so this is a fabulous addition to make our conference professional and relevant to attendees. It is so much easier to manage than using a free platform like Band, as we have tried in the past. Cons Having never used an app, there was a small learning curve to figure out how to import, but it was manageable. January 29, 2026 4.0 Very good, I had to set up in 3 days due to another platforms inability to follow through on some features. The customer service is PHENOMENAL and having the ability to receive answers from a real person is refreshing!! Pros If you want to quickly set an app with resources, and schedules this is PERFECT. The conference attendees were happy to have a maps and locations as the event location had a confusing layout. There was a little onboarding curve but they will be set for next year and I can also include the links created by Yapp to send to attendees in advance so they can download and peruse before the conference. Cons The design is a little outdated and the spreadsheet to upload information was a bit confusing with all the added columns. The process of adding attendee's photos seems arduous - but I am hoping that there is a good workaround that I just didn't have time to explore based on how quickly I had to set up. Switched from [RegFox](https://www.capterra.com/p/91029/RegFox/) They are unable to populate information is you have a hybrid event, the downloading process was extremely confusing for the attendee...we tried it out on a few people and it was a nightmare. You have to be able to access your email (that you registered with) on your phone to download the app, it send you a confirmation number and the list goes on. The issue for me was the hybrid piece, which was known from the moment I signed up with the salesmans but MORE IMPORTANTLY, my attendees do not all bring their work phones with them OR cannot access their work emails from their personal phones so that entire process is super difficult to navigate. Cons Not a lot of analytics or the ability to prioritize sponsors based on their contribution levels, but not a major hindrance for our convention. " April 30, 2026 5.0 The price is spot-on for our meetings, and the app’s ease of use is perfect for our events. We’ve tried complex platforms before, and staff spent too much time helping attendees download and navigate. Not with Yapp, we share a QR code, and attendees download and get started immediately. As we go paperless, having an app as intuitive as a paper agenda is exactly what we needed. Pros Its easy to build each of my meetings (5 per year) and its easy for my attendees to gain access to the app and navigate the agenda. Cons You might have already this feature and we're just not aware, but sponsors would like a lead generator option. I'm able to meet the needs of the conference participants as far as the app allows. Pros The simplicity of creating pages is quite intuitive. With a basic explanation, it's easy to use. Good interface. Cons Because it doesn't connect to the GPS at the conference venue and doesn't allow live streaming. The issue of staff accreditation should also be addressed. Yapp's customer service is one of the best parts of working with the app. Their responses are always timely, and I like that it gives you information on how long it might be if it's going to be a little bit. They've also always seemed very open to suggestions and requests from users. Pros Yapp is incredibly user-friendly. Building it out took a little bit of exploring the first time, but I was quickly able to figure out how to build what my clients were expecting in an event app. The rich text pages allow for some good customization, and agenda and attendee uploads are streamlined and very easy to use. When the app is up and running and being used at an event, it seems to operate smoothly for attendees, and any updates I send populate quickly and easily. Cons Although the app does allow for some visual customization, especially on the rich text pages as mentioned above, it would be nice to have more customization options on some of the other page types. " October 28, 2025 4.0 Copying previous year's conference app to current year and updating as needed. Uploading handouts from the conference, photos of speakers & special guests, creating announcements to be released throughout the conference. Pros Yapp has a very user friendly interface. It was easier than I thought it would be to dive right in and create the app for our conference. Cons The carry-over of attendees from a previous year's version of the app to the current one caused some issues. Customer service confirmed that, for our purposes, asking them to delete the prior year's attendee list when setting up a new year's conference app would solve the issues I was having. I also didn't like that the only way you could see, add, or schedule announcements was through the app. I would have liked to be able to schedule those at my computer instead. Cons The alerts/notifications would not push to users in the app unless they had specifically gone through their phone settings to allow the notifications. I'm not sure if this is anything Yapp can do anything about, but this would be a game changer. Also, assuming Yapp can get the notifications to push to users, the ability to schedule those notifications would be fantastic. Tracking continuing education (CE) is a major missing piece for Yapp. Conference apps should be able to track users attendance at sessions as a mechanism for organizations to award CE credits. " June 26, 2023 5.0 With the ability to provide all of your conference information prior to their arrival, participants are able to maximize their experience while attending. The app helps organizers and attendees reduce anxiety associated with simple things like locating the registration desk, finding meeting rooms and knowing when and where breaks and lunches will take place. Pros The Yapp app is easy to setup, distribute and use. Participants from Baby Boomers to Gen Z attended our recent conference and they were able to download and use the app to see the schedule, read about the speakers and learn about the sponsors and vendors. We were able to change the schedule in real time for outdoor related activities when the weather took a sudden turn for the worse. Sponsors and vendors were very excited to see their logos and links to contact information had been included in their own special sections. Cons While you will have to use a minimal amount of creativity to customize your app, it is not difficult in the least. The ability to upload CSV files for sections like sponsors and speakers makes maintaining those sections a breeze when last minute changes are necessary. Reason for choosing Yapp When compared to other products, we chose the Yapp App because it was affordable and easy to use. We've used Yapp as our event app for 4 years now, and no longer produce a print program or any other paper materials, saving money and time. Our attendees are executives who range from 30- 70+ years old and do not bring support staff to this meeting, so ease/intuitive mobile use is key. Yapp is incredibly easy to use for both our staff and attendees. It's a simple, visually attractive interface with ample customization opportunities to promote speakers and sponsors--and all at a fantastic price point--no need to invest in more tools than your organization needs. I love the fact that it is similar to social media feeds. Comments and likes are great. Pros I like the feature of the timeline, with social media being used for everything now this app makes colleagues be involved within a work setting. The notifications of new posts is great. Yapp is easy to use and very similar to other social media platforms used. Cons I dislike the fact which we can not add more than one picture per post. Another con is not being able to upload videos or have the ability to go Live. I'd be great to have something similar to a story version of the most used social medias. We do have several departments and it would be great to have a section where videos can be posted to communicate information.
