I love the scheduling tool too! Cons I wish as an admin I could create the scheduled announcement posts within the desktop instead of on a mobile device. Review Source PB Priscilla B. Pros This program was easy to use and really liked that on each page you add to the right side it gives an example of how that page is used. Cons It would be nice if under the schedule, when you list a speaker that either there was a more button or something to indicate click here so you can see their contact, and bio. The way it shows now unless you accidentally clicked on it you wouldn't know. Another feature, I would pay for, would be to have the ability to pin room locations under the schedule to a map. October 20, 2022 5.0 Yapp is an incredible little application which has enhances our ability to communication and organize internal events. We use it internally for conferences with up to 2,000 participants where the individual schedule of events for each participant are published as part of their profile. As changes occur due to cancellations, or on the ground logistical challenges, these can be updated quickly keeping everyone organized.OUTSTANDING Support! As other reviewers have said, the support from Yapp is second to none. We push the limits but any time we have a question or concern, the quality and timing of the response has always exceeded our expectations. Pros •Simple enough for non-technical staff to setup•Ease of deployment•Users love the social elements•Ability to publish individual agendas (creativity required) Cons While there are always opportunities for improvement or enhanced functionality, it's hard to find fault with anything in Yapp.While not a 'con' it would be nice to have couple of additional features:•Ability to add pages in other languages and add a language tag to people. June 12, 2018 5.0 Great customer support! Customer support is great. If the builder of the app does their part, you will end up with a fantastic product. Your apps can feature -discussion boards -picture walls (perfect for Selfie stations) -Twitter feed monitoring -Conference/event scheduling -A place to house your documents and maps (awesome for conference portability) -A customization engine that cements the professionalism of your organization Pros YAPP features an easy and intuitive user interface for creating a professional-looking mobile app which has TONS of functionality. I have been using the service for years, and have built multiple conference apps with it, all for public education, curriculum, instruction and leadership. If you look around at conferences, just about everyone will have their faces buried in their phones, tablets or laptops. You might as well capture their "digital attention" with your content. I love the YAPP message boards, picture walls, Twitter feeds, and, as an event organizer, the ability to set up session information and schedules. If your users log into the system, they can also build customized itineraries of breakout sessions to attend as well as their locations, streamlining end-user access to your conference sessions. On the back end, the customer service with YAPP is amazing. they have always had my back if I need their help. Sure, the platform subscription is expensive up front, but that plan will service most organizations that don't have the resources to custom-sourced their own mobile app from the ground up. Further, you can build UNLIMITED apps with an unlimited user pool. Cons Entering the conference session data can be tedious, and there is really no way around this. However, if you use a spreadsheet to build your initial conference schedule layout, session description, location, and other pertinent data-- you can then use that spreadsheet to import your sessions with direct mapping. This saves you a big step when it comes to conference design, but it only works if you begin with the end product in mind and make that spreadsheet from the origins of the conference planning stages. The app was easy to use and the customer support team was very responsive when I had questions or needed assistance. I would definitely recommend Yapp to others looking to create their own event apps. Pros I really enjoyed the user-friendly interface of Yapp. It was so easy to navigate and create my own custom app without any coding or technical skills. And we save lots of trees!! Pros The app was very easy to adapt to our specific operational requirements, such as listing of participants with their business contact information; promotion of sponsors; detailing agendas for our program days; reference contact information of our board members; and ability to quickly notify participants of last minute changes in programs. In addition, participants have the ability to download specific forms and instructions that they wish to save in hard copy. Cons Lack of ability to customize each page (graphics, etc); lack of ability to download all saved pictures as a group; lack of ability to poll group so that results are not publicized to entire group. Pros When we needed to look like "the bigs guys" on a budget, we searched for cost-effective yet powerful app purveyors. Yapp was suggested to me by a web developer as a cost-effective way to promote a conference for a client. From speaker bios, to multi-track event scheduling, and pushing announcements, Yapp delivered the goods and had great customer service. This expanded into a few human resources apps as well. Cons The one thing I would like is to have more design control -- multiple branding colors available for different items. Pros Developing your own app is timely, costly, and has many hurdles to overcome. Yapp app takes all that away with it's no code solution to developing and maintaining a mobile app. Good set of features, I including some that I haven’tused yet and hope to soon in the future. They always answer very quickly and get back to you with answers to any questions you have (or problems you encounter while editing your app). Shoutout to \[sensitive content hidden\] at Yapp for all his wonderful help! The user experience was also great. I was easily able to build my app by adding specific features. Yapp also has a help center where you can look up how to complete something (EX: how to upload attendees, overall tips & tricks, etc.) Pros Ease of use. Yapp has templated pages to use in the app so you do not have to build anything from scratch. (EX: polls, schedule, agenda, etc.). Additionally, any time you have a change to make to your app, it is completed in real-time and after "publishing" your changes, attendees who downloaded your app will see these new changes the next time they view the app. Cons Reporting features are good (EX: app usage, engagement stats) but I feel like a little more can be done here so administrators can dive deeper into the data to analyze. Schedule overview doesn't have speaker's name on it....only location 3. Hard to add a READABLE MAP (exhibit hall and classrooms) 4. Their customer experience is amazing. It would take a lot to convince me to spend what other apps charge when this one gives us all we want for so little. Pros As the administrator, I find it relatively easy to upload full schedules and other mass data, rather than keystroking things in one at a time. Cons Really nothing. We ask our members how to improve it and they don't think up much of a list. More ability for the end user to customize it is usually what they ask for - like creating their own schedule, but even more. We have not experienced any real problems, but the whole team have always been on hand to provide help and and advice about how to achieve what we have wanted to do. Having this support has been invaluable. Pros We use Yapp to share the details of our Arts Festival each year and the application gives us the flexibility to customise the look for the theme each year. Having the ability to clearly show the acts that are happening and include links through to performer details, it all works seamlessly. Following the successful use for the festival, we expanded our use for the induction of our new staff who join the school each year. Giving the ability to new recruits to be able to view information before they arrive, has been a great benefit. Cons We have yet to discover any significant flaws in the product and have been very satisfied with what we have been able to implement with the system. Pros Our school uses this app for the many and varied trips our school sponsors for students. We use it for students and maintain a separate one for chaperones. All events, addresses, student information and more are kept in the appropriate apps and allows us to control social media for parents to follow the trip. It has become a very valuable tool and we are very happy as a customer. Pros This app is extremely easy to set up and manage. We were looking for a solution to offer our conference attendees that was simple to install and navigate. We use this app as a complement to our full printed program and it allows users to have the entire agenda at their fingertips and in their pockets. We use this app once a year during our annual conference. Our members love having it and the number of installs increases every year. We no longer have to print presentations as they are all accessible under each workshop session menu item. This is extremely valuable as many times there are last minute changes to not only presentations but other documents we provide as well. This app is perfect for our event and our members. We love it!
