Overall experience is good considering its ease of use and scalability options. If some of the limitations has been identified and fixed based on user reviews it would be best.

Pros

Uptime.com offers dependable and comprehensive monitoring features, supporting over 30 different types of checks, including both basic and advanced options. You can assess API status, perform micro and extended transaction checks, as well as utilize real user monitoring and page speed checks.

Cons

The mobile app has some limitations on iOS. For example, in certain situations, I am unable to edit checks directly from the app. Additionally, I occasionally receive false alarms or an excessive number of notifications. While there isn't much else to dislike, the frequent false notifications for the websites I monitor within our organization can be quite bothersome.

We predominantly use Uptime to monitor the WAN uptime and latency of edge devices we manage. Uptime.com works perfectly well for this purpose and has a robust API that allowed us to easily migrate from a prior platform. We are also able to pull various reports in different formats to provide to clients when needed. The biggest downfall is that we aren't able to provide a client with access to just their own sites so they can live monitor their connections as well.

\-Robust API -Multiple monitoring locations -Easy configuration -Useful data

Cons

\-Instead of a ping monitor showing "down" it shows as "1200ms" -No multi-tenant support

Loved the product. Just wish it offered a full global presence. I can recommend it if your service is not hosted on the African continent but if you not, find something else.

Pros

I love all of it and this product would stay my first choice if it had a footprint in Africa.

Cons

We get false downtime notifications whenever there are issues with the undersea cables linking Africa to the rest of the world. This complicates monitoring SaaS and leaves the product useless for SLA and OLA calculations.

Great product for use as a quick and easy monitoring tool Would be nice if it could go deep and use logins and such

Pros

The ease of use, lack of bugs and issues and the performance and speed were a big help to someone who started to in the industry and one of the first tool I used was Uptime Also the monitoring of our infrastructure that was done with Uptime almost never gave us false positives

Cons

Not something I faced in my day to day work I was a regular NOC and was not privy to the cost of the product and also never used the customer support of it

The site is very easy to setup with our servers and services that are to be monitored. Once setup, the site is easy to navigate and alerts are quick, accurate, and helpful.

Cons

The only thing that I would like to see improved is the development part that lets me configure user login checks for some of my websites.

Uptime has a great uptime checking service along with the less common realtime user monitoring (RUM) service. The service could definitely use some polishing, but for the cost, it's really fantastic. There was a problem I ran into where reports couldn't be exported to CSV if you defined a date range. Initially support was great, until they stopped responding. It took months for the issue to be addressed. At one point I left a review on their Facebook page because they had become completely unresponsive. They immediately replied and I was back in touch with support... until they stopped replying again. But in the end it got fixed, and there's nothing else I've had to contact support for!

Pros

\- Uptime checking with a decently fast interval between checks. - Simple RUM reporting!

Cons

\- Doesn't seem that RUM is being improved or developed in anyway. - Support can take a while to resolve a bug.

Pros

Real-time monitoring has been quite accurate. We have compared the tool with other real-time monitoring providers, but uptime has higher performance. Performance metrics and routing help us detect anomalies in the communication between our clients' servers and ours. This is interesting, mainly, because we can know through ping if a server is suffering from a DDoS attack, which has become very common. A very interesting feature, which we have not seen in other providers of this service, is monitoring from a different location. We liked this a lot, because we can choose the best place to hire a service.

Cons

It is more expensive than other providers. I understand that they have tools that other providers do not have (at least in the published service offer). However, this can be obtained in most cases by contacting the provider and requesting the approximate location where you want the monitoring to take place.
