Comments: When Todoist becomes part of your personal productivity workflow, it is a powerful and reliable secondary brain. Let Todoist remember and remind you to get stuff done.

Pros: Simple yet robust features; powerful scheduling options; intuitive structuring with projects, labels, and filters; easy access across platforms and devices

Cons: The strength of Todoist's simplicity for personal use is its weakness for collaboration: the shared and business account options do not provide a sufficient level of project management. Todoist is best in what it was made for: personal task management.

Pros: I've historically used pen and paper for my task management. But I wanted to switch to a computer based system. I evaluated Todoist vs. Things 3. While the latter features a very clean, compelling design, I ultimately chose Todoist for several reasons. First, I really like the Labels and Projects features, especially that I can choose different colors and easily add using the @ and # shortcuts. Second, I like the cross platform support; I can easily access and sync via my Mac, Chromebook, and iPhone. The task entry systems is very easy and intuitive; I'm glad it doesn't force me to enter fields I'm not currently using. That flexibility is one of Todoist's main strengths, i.e., you can use as many or as few of the available features as you want.

Cons: So far I only have one gripe: I wish the color codes for labels and projects would show up when entering and editing a task instead of them defaulting to red for some reason. They display correctly elsewhere. Color coding was important to me. Despite it's beautiful, crisp design, Things 3 does not allow custom use of color.

Overall: Flexibility helped me transition from pen and paper task management to more reliable and useful compute based task management. I think I've become more productive and less forgetful.

Pros: The ease of use, the sheer volume of platforms the software is available on and importantly the reliability of the programme. Other pro's to Todoist include natural language input, the vast range of customisation, nesting hierarchy of both projects and tasks (sub tasks, sub-sub tasks etc) and a great range of colour options for both the UI and the project/label/filters. It's in everyone's budget.

Cons: My one niggle with Todoist, and I have to say it's a personal annoyance rather than a fault within the software, is "Pop Up boxes instead of a slide-out panel for adding task details. I just think a slide out panel gives the capacity of adding a few extra details

Overall: A more efficient and organised work environment

Pros: It makes it extremely to organize all of your tasks. You can organize it in detail or just leave rough tasks. It works amazing and I use it for all of my tasks, I love it!

Cons: The notifications won't work sometimes, but they have been getting better at fixing that. Other than that I don't have any complaints!

Pros: It is available on almost any platform you can think of. When writing you can use certain characters as shortcuts for all sorts of meaning, lime labels, due date, project, priority. You can easily divide or sort tasks in different projects and categories. Going through the process you can earn points and see how you claim your productivity "tree". It is very easy to write a complete task with its different traits.
You can easily create tasks from any directions by sharing or notification bar for example.

Cons: The least appealing is its design. In my opinion the design is to simplistic. It does not really match a modern design pattern. Well, design might not make you more productive in the end.

Overall: Well, it lets me see my task completion and organize all my tasks in different projects and circumstances.

Pros: This app has completely changed my productivity and organization. Just wish I had found it sooner. The ability to customize, categorize, and keep track of all the tasks and projects in my life has been a game changer.

Cons: The reminders and notifications at times don't seem to trigger, but some of that has been fixed. Coming up with "cons" for todoist is a challenge :)

Pros: Todoist is a simple to use, easy to understand interface for basic task management. Delegation is easy and the progres tracking adds a nice RPG element to it.

Cons: I did not find this software very customizeable. It was hard to get it to fit just right into what I needed. It was too simple for advanced tasks and too advanced for simple tasks.

Pros: I love that I can do everything with keystrokes!I don't like having to have my hands leave the keyboard. I get things on the list quickly and efficiently. Task management and assignment is so easy!

Cons: I'm not crazy about the interface. Something about it is a little too minimalist. It's not a deal breaker, but it would be nice for it be a bit more visually appealing.

Pros: great iOS app. the two numeric systems the app uses to keep you motivated (and also using the app) are BOTH very fun and useful. i'm a big fan of the Karma, i'm an Expert and am excited to get to Master. the Streak is also a good feature. the smart rescheduling is nice, and I like the ability to see Todoist tasks on my Google Calendar. mainly, they nailed what are probably the key parts of a to-do app, which are that it's 1) very satisfying to mark things Done, and 2) extra satisfying to finish everything for the day

Cons: forget the Windows 10 app, doesn't sync. my least favorite part of Todoist is the paid version: it's WAY too expensive, although i'd be unlikely to pay anything. some paid features should be free, like comments or more details for to-do's, reminders, and location-based alerts (which are included with basically any smartphone).

Pros: Fast, easy and actionable. It's the only To-do or Project Management (lite) app that helped me get things done. I tried a lot of options, ones more complicated than others but this one that is the simplest ye powerful of all is only that made me start completing my tasks.

Cons: Lack of a Gantt-graph and in-app messenger to talk with co-workers. But maybe that's the beauty of it, that it's simple and only has what is necessary to help you complete your to-do list.

Overall: I stopped delaying the things that I needed to do.

The biggest benefit is that it's helping me organize my whole life, because now I have tasks about almost every aspect of my day, from personal stuff to professional tasks and it integrates with my Calender, so I have a really cool view of everything that needs to be made and when it needs to be ready.

Pros: Very easy to use, works on any device (mobile, desktop, tablet, etc...), and syncs very easy. Integrates with just about any software tool and calendar that you might use. I use it to keep track of all business tasks as well as personal tasks. It is great for recurring tasks and deadlines.

Cons: Updates sometimes can be a little buggy when updating, but usually get fixed fast. Some features and functions work differently on various devices.

Pros: What I like the most about Todoist is its looks, it simply is pretty! Works well from basic task management to multiple project and team management. It's user interface is well thought and well designed. Besides that, platform availability is crucial, being able to access to your account via web when on your desktop or on the fly with a smartphone. I also love the fact that it has so many integrations including Zappier, which I heavily rely on.

Cons: The only thing that is kind of a downside is that I can't justify the premium plan, so not having task reminders on the free version is the biggest bummer for me.

Overall: Good time management and task administration.

Pros: It's affordable. After Things raised their prices for the whole suite), I was looking for something that did just as much, if not more, but was still simple and cross platform. Todoist is exactly that!

Support is great, too.

Cons: Not much. I wish there was a way to assign a default project, but other than that - it's great! I had some issues with the quick add functionality, but support got on it and fixed it right away!

Overall: Easy to use but powerful. Lots of features that you don't see, but you can get into once you've mastered the basics.

I totally love ToDoist. I use it everyday and find it really helpful for keeping track of all my tasks and more.

Pros: Easy to use across platforms, very flexible: you can customize your set up completely to your own situation and preferences

Pros: Collaborative projects are the best with the ability to upload images, files and comments. Assign tasks also are great.

Cons: Alert are good but sometimes they get lost in notification center. Cyclic tasks are good but there are still some kind of tasks that can't be programmed, e.g. programming a task at x time and auto reprogram when completing it at x time again (useful when you need to take tour pills).

Comments: If you are muddling around in GTasks try Todoist - you won't look back@

Pros: Simple and complex workflows in the same app. Weather you need to the minute scheduling or just a way to shuffle your tasks around Todoist has you covered. Direct integrations with GSuite of tools and zapier allows for you to customize and automate your todo options. Now works with Alexa as well!

Cons: Seems intimidating at first with multiple projects and labels but once you find your flow its hard to imagine not being able to configure ToDoist to work for you.

Pros: I've used Todoist for years now, since college, to work, to my daily life: it's straight forward interface helps me schedule, reschedule and complete multiple tasks easily, keeping me motivated and organized with my priorities, and the fact you can sync it through multiple devices makes it even better

Cons: Since each users tasks can be really personal and specific, it'd be a lot easier and better if the user interface could be costumized, select types of notificantions, etc.

Pros: The interface on Todosit is so simple and easy to interactive with- reassigning tasks and deadlines is so simple and is great for none technical members of the team to use- its ability to be accessible across loads of platforms means that we can always track progress

Comments: This has actually replaced a CRM in our small business environment (6 users). Although it lacks many important CRM features, the task management capabilities are so far superior to every CRM we've tried (Sugar, especially), that it has been worth it to us to transfer those functions to other programs. A robust phone app, and instant sync with all devices are very important features, because tasks frequently come to mind when I'm away from my computer. Overall, I highly recommend this app; it's by far the best task management program I've ever used.

Pros: Infinite nesting of tasks; ease of rescheduling tasks; collaboration features; very reasonable cost; robust smartphone app.

Cons: Windows 10 app was very glitchy on my PC, and finally broke so thoroughly I couldn't use it. Had to switch to web app, which is fine, but has fewer features.

Pros: The ability to set tasks, to assign them to a user, to link them together under one project heading -- all these have greatly helped us improve our efficiency.

Cons: I wish it were possible to list out tasks by individual within the project heading. That would assist with the overall organization. That said, with all the tasks visible to the entire team, this is more of a want than a need.

Pros: The app is very user friendly. When you're looking for a feature, you find it quickly without any help or manual. It can be use offline, on a computer or a smartphone. You also can add widget on your smartphone homescreen with all the tasks assigned to a specific project. It's actually the only todo app that I've not abandonned after 1 or 2 days. I'm just a free user, so I did not try the premium functions. But for a personal use, I don't need more.

Cons: Some ergonomic detail: the subtasks organization is not really useful. Auto completion of the task is a really nice idea but honestly, I don't think it's better than choose a date in a calendar. Actually, it may sometimes be quite annoying.

Comments: I'm using the free version, and it's a great tool to help organize your todo tasks. It's perticularly powerful if you're happy to use keywords and shortcuts to improve your organization. Shortcuts allow to quickly prioritize, sort into projects and date while typing - no extra clicking and so on. I've run into two small difficulties using it: the first is a lack of integration into google calendar, which would be very useful. There are some javascript hacks out there, but there was no support from todoist when I checked. Second, the software makes it so easy to enter the tasks that I end up entering too many tasks, and it makes it more difficult to solve them. But of course this is not really a problem with the software as much as with my use of it.

Pros: ease of use, great interface, easy to enter complex new tasks with keywords for organization

Cons: no integration with google calendar (at time that I checked)

Comments: Todoist is a great app for anything you need to remember to do. For example, stop at Costco on your way home for an item, call travel agent to book a trip, follow-up with co-worker about a project, etc. You type the info in and it will automatically remind you when it's due. There are apps for your computer, phone, and tablet, so whenever you need to check it or add to it, it's available to you.

Pros: The basics of the program are simple. I love the capability to remind by geo location. So, say you need to pick something up the next time you are at Sam's. You add it to Todoist list with a geo tag. When you arrive at Sam's, whenever that is, a reminder automatically pops up.

Cons: I find the layout on my computer annoying. The Project/Labels/Filters section is large, but the area available for the type is small. I see no reason why it can't be resizable. Also, Todoist is feature rich, but a lot of it is not intuitive, so to get the most out of it, you need to go to the documentation or check out videos on YouTube.

Recommendations to other buyers: Go to the documentation, YouTube videos, and experiment to get the most out of the program.

Comments: Finally a collaborative to-do list app that my entire family can use! I love how you can separate lists for groceries, home projects, work to-do, even event planning! Share it with all the appropriate people. I love how you can assign tasks, deadlines, and importance levels. The email notifications make it easy to track when my husband and I are checking things off the list.

Pros: Absolutely love this app! Easy to use, user-friendly, and clean.

Cons: I do wish there were specific notification settings for each list instead of the entire account. For things like a grocery list, it can get a little tedious.

Pros: Ubiquity and ease of use.

Cons: Lack of certain advanced features. More segmentation of teams would be helpful.

Overall: I've used Todoist Premium for about 18 months. I moved from a very popular Mac GTD app because I use Windows at work, an iPhone, Mac and Linux at home, and I wanted an application that worked everywhere. Todoist is great. The web app has been rock solid and that's my primary interface for using Todoist (there are native Mac & Windows apps along with the expected iPhone/Android apps). It's fast, it uses natural language for task input, and it takes very little time to figure out how everything works together. I still miss a couple of features from the Mac app, but the ubiquity of Todoist has proven to be far more important to me.

I mention my previous experience because Todoist for Business is basically Todoist Premium with some slick collaboration features baked into the application. Sharing a project with your team allows the team to comment on the project or any task within the project. You can attach files/images to a task or link Dropbox/Google Drive. There's a great activity log that will show you your activity for the day as well as the activity of your team members. Note: the activity log only displays activity of shared projects to your team. Your personal tasks remain visible only to you.

Todoist for Business doesn't do everything. No Gantt charts, and the segmentation of different teams is clunky in comparison to other project management apps. Todoist also lacks a certain "polish" of other management apps, but I feel this is partially by design. There's a lot of white space, which reduces the amount of clutter. For a couple of members of our team, that was a key feature. "I don't feel overwhelmed when looking at Todoist" was one comment. Customer support has also been great.

You'll also be hard-pressed to find a better deal. It's only $29 per team member for an entire year. If you're on a tight budget, and don't have a lot of teams in your organization, Todoist may be the right choice for you simply for budgetary reasons.

Todoist takes very little time to learn, so the on-boarding time is minimal. We've started using Todoist for Business on a more consistent basis and we're finding that the lack of clutter and advanced features is actually helping us get more done.

Comments: I have been using TODOIST for about 8 months now and I find it to be a very useful app to manage tasks both personal and official. The app also integrates with Airmail seamlessly to create tasks directly from an email. True value for money.

Pros: Ease of use Integrates with other apps seamlessly

Cons: A very minimalist interface that can be bettered.

Recommendations to other buyers: You can safely opt for todoist and stop looking for task management apps

Comments: Todoist is a simple task management system for individuals and teams, You have the ability to assign tasks to people, create due dates and prioritize tasks.

Pros: You can get a browser extension for chrome, and you can also add it to your Gmail accounts which makes your Todoist list always easy to double check and check off. Colour coordination is helpful for when you're dealing with multiple projects at once and helps declutter a large list of tasks.

Cons: While you can label your tasks in priority order that does not allow for the tasks to change order on the page. I would love if you added priorities and the list adjusted accordingly.

Comments: We are a small catering company with a couple different partners who mostly work remotely during the week before coming together to do events on the weekend. We needed a way to keep track of everything we were focused on. I use Todoist to keep track of all the different hats I wear and make sure that our teams know what they are supposed to be doing . More than that it is a place to put great ideas and projects for next time. We pay on a monthly subscription so if its' not working for someone we can just cancel their subscription and they can use a different tool to keep track of what they are getting done. Before this software we were using a bunch of different programs to try to meet our needs. We tried Trello. We tried Asana. We tried Wunderlist... none of them combined the simplicity and the functionality of Todoist.

Pros: Customer Support was on it when I had questions and the user guides are really helpful Combined with CloudMagic email for android (or iOS) you can use this powerful cards feature to process emails directly into the app while waiting for something to complete. Accomodates tags, and other systems while having a powerful search functionality (which helps us find duplicate tasks)

Cons: Ease of adoption.... staff still struggle to use ANY system that requires them to track and assess their tasks. Todoist is miles ahead of asana and trello and wunderlist in terms of ease of adoption though. We setup our own "automated" iDoneThis email every week... not sure if that's any better honestly.

Comments: Focused on figuring out what people need and keep it a work in progress. Multiple ways to use with tags and filters being super useful. Integration across devices is better than most.

Pros: Flexibility is great. Can use with multiple devices and multiple programs.

Cons: Can't find a system that really works the way I need it to, but still figuring it out.
