Pros

Todoist is super practical for managing tasks for a condo or even if you want to manage tasks for a whole activity but I don't think you can do that for free.

Cons

It's totally possible to use it to manage your everyday tasks but to manage a business where reminders are crucial, you have to go through the stripe payment page.

Todoist allows me to apply the Getting Things Done method effortlessly. By outsourcing all my daily micro-tasks into the application, I regain a laser-sharp focus on my deep work, without the constant fear of forgetting to buy coffee or send that invoice.

Pros

Its execution speed is unbeatable. The interface is stripped down to the minimum, with no fluff. The "Karma" system (which tracks your productivity with points) adds a great little touch of gamification that motivates me to clear my daily list. Custom filters allow me to see only what matters at any given moment.

Cons

It is a task management tool (a To-Do List), not a collaborative project manager. If I want to collaborate with a large team, track budgets, or design cross-functional schedules, Todoist hits its limits very quickly. Comments inside shared tasks also lack readability.

I have used Todoist continuously for about 8-10 years. Back at that point in my life served a very important goal: I wanted to rebuild habits to maintain a right everyday rhythm. As part of that: - I set goals for myself every single day (~ deliver 5 tasks and measure it back) - consciously scheduled activities to OTHER days (so my brain is not busy with them) Todoist is excellent for such setup + its gamification engine helped push that a bit further.

Pros

Mobile-friendly interface Gamification to help habit building Easy synchronisation between web and mobile

Cons

No such things. For me todoist serves as a very simple tool, combining private and business task management.

Todoist has genuinely saved me a lot of mental space and time. It solved a real problem around fast, low-friction task capture — especially that quick-capture shortcut on Mac — and gives me confidence that everything I need to do is in one trusted spot. I did a fair amount of research before committing, comparing it to Things 3, a few other task tools, and Apple's Reminders. Todoist won out because it had the best shortcut and automation functionality plus a steady stream of thoughtful upgrades that show the product is heading in a great direction. After one to two years of daily use on the Pro plan, it's become a core part of how I run my work and client projects.

Pros

Todoist's biggest strength is how fast and frictionless it makes capturing and organizing work. I can dump any thought straight into the Inbox the second it occurs to me, then process and clear that Inbox every day so nothing slips through the cracks. The recurring tasks feature is excellent — the things I need to do daily for clients show up automatically, so I always know exactly what's on my plate and trust that it all lives in one place. Organizing tasks across projects keeps each client's work cleanly separated and easy to navigate. The standout for me is the keyboard-driven quick-capture shortcut on Mac: I can fire up a capture window instantly without breaking focus, which is huge for staying in flow. Setup was very easy, integrations and connections were simple to get running, and on the Pro plan the value is well worth it for how much mental overhead it removes.

Cons

Honestly there's very little I dislike. My main wish is for richer, note-style capture inside each task. Today a task has a description field, but I'd love a proper notes area on each item to go deeper — attaching files, links, and longer-form context rather than leaning on the description or comments. The newer voice/"ramble" capture is promising but doesn't always behave as expected; when I dictate a task with a long description, it sometimes splits the text into several separate tasks instead of keeping it as one task with a description. It's a new feature, so I expect it to improve. I'd also love for the Todoist assistant to be able to read the contents of files and emails forwarded into a task — when I email something in, a lot of the real work lives inside the attachment, and having the assistant actually see that content instead of me opening it manually would make it far more powerful.

Todoist stood out for having the best shortcut and automation functionality — the keyboard-driven quick-capture shortcut on Mac is faster and more frictionless than what the alternatives offered — and for its steady stream of thoughtful upgrades that show the product is consistently heading in a good direction.

My experience with Todoist has been very positive. It helped me stay organized, manage tasks more efficiently, and improve daily productivity.

Pros

Todoist is easy to use and great for staying organized. Creating tasks, setting deadlines, and managing daily to-do lists is quick and efficient. The clean interface makes productivity feel simple.

Cons

Some advanced features are limited on the free version, but the core features work very well for everyday use.

L’outil est simple, rapide et efficace. La création de tâches et les rappels sont très intuitifs. J’apprécie aussi la possibilité de prioriser facilement ce qui est important.

Cons

l’outil peut montrer ses limites. Il reste très orienté gestion personnelle plutôt que collaboration avancée.

Overall it was good for what I needed at the time but due to the need for upgrading I no longer use the tool.

Pros

Good simple tool to manage your daily tasks. Clean interface that’s super intuitive, even for beginners

Cons

Key features like reminders, labels, and filters are restricted unless you upgrade Lacks advanced project management tools like timelines or Gantt charts
