" October 9, 2020 5.0 The interface is very smooth and clean. They offer device support for a variety of devices so I can manage my tasks on whatever device I'm on and there is a seamless connection. I have not experienced any service issues as well Pros Todoist is easy to use. You can easily add tasks, set due dates and see upcoming actions. You can set reminders that keep you accountable and receive daily briefings. They offer an educational discount which dramatically reduces the cost of the paid subscription and allows for easy organisation of the tasks Cons They removed their SMS reminder service which I was really fond of. While the premium version adds very interesting features such as personalized labels, filters or reminders, the free version allows you to list and classify tasks to keep an agenda always up to date. I find Todoist to be a very useful as a task and productivity manager. Pros Besides its functionalities as a manager and task organizer, the gamification provided by karma levels and productivity graphs are a plus to use. Also, labels and reminders are very useful when you are using premium or business version. Cons In the free version, you cannot add tags to tasks, so these inbox quick tasks cannot be categorized in any way until they are moved to a project or deleted. It is a minor detail, but if the inbox is used for personal tasks, for example, they cannot be classified in any way except in the premium version. Review Source AA Alicia A. Cons When you write words similar to dates or time, the app automatically selects it for you as a reminder or alarm. And sometimes you don't need the alarm, just write it. Pros Very helpful for all the daily tasks and things that need to be done. I have 2 jobs and my day-to-day things to take care of and there comes a moment when everything can turn into a big mess if you try to memorize everything. This app helps me keep track of everything, organize my work- and life- related tasks in groups, mark how complete each big project is (the new option to create sections helps a lot). I like the design and the options it provides. Notifications are really helpful. Cons Sometimes I really want to have a grid view on mobile. I don’t know why, but sometimes list view makes me forget stuff or become overwhelmed. If it could have a markdown editor, or ability to link to notes stored locally in another Mac based note app like ‘bear’, that would really help. November 29, 2022 5.0 Todoist allows me to create, edit and update tasks on the fly - with minimal effort. The app (mobile and desktop) are slick and function perfectly - it's the "perfect Task Management" app! Pros This app is super quick on your phone and allows for tasks to be added an updated really quickly and easily - and it's also super easy to use on my laptop - syncs perfectly and just works. I've tried lots of task management apps and this is by far and away the best. It's also very reasonable at just $4 per month. Cons The hardest thing is figuring out how to use all the apps functionality - but this is like any tool - especially good ones. Once I figured out how to do a few things - it was all worth it! I've also found it useful as a personal shopping list and home projecting to-do list. Pros Todoist has a lot of great list features including labels, filters, and easy methods to separate various projects/folders. You can create daily tasks that will remind you at a given time and task titles that can't be cleared away if you like to organize things. Creating subtasks that stick around after checked off so you can see what you've done is also possible. Some of the team features such as shared lists and task assignment work well for group settings as well. Cons A lot of the features are most easily accessible through hotkeys which can be a nightmare to remember. Coach Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Best To Do List Tracker - Simple & Robust " December 12, 2020 5.0 Started using it as it integrated so well with the Spark Mail app, and it just worked so well I sticked with it. I'm not using Evernote or Trello as much now as Todoist keeps it all simple and in one place! Pros Just purchased the paid version after using the free version of the app for 8 months. I love that it is no fuss, it is simple but robust - it fits with what intuitively makes sense when it comes to planning. Sub Tasks were a winner, search function is fab and I especially love that I can just look at "Today" without getting distracted by all the other tasks in the way stressing me out. Decided to purchase the paid version as I was using the app every day and was keen to get even more out of the app with tags, colour coding and notifications for important tasks. Just been a few days with the paid version but I love it! PS: I have never had to reach out to support as I have had no issues! Cons Really hard to fault it. I would love a "Tomorrow" option in the same way there is Inbox, Today or Upcoming but that is little wish list item and not a con. Review Source JS Jim S. Worked to dramatically improve their organization and productivity. Pros Todoist is one of the dozens of time management programs installed, tested, and used. It's the only one that lasted for my work for multiple years. The best features for me are the ability to identify multiple projects, and easily add new tasks with deadlines, to a project. The "smart" entry, recognizing projects and time, makes entry easy. Cons My only minor issue with Todoist is that if you "clear" a daily task from "yesterday," it moves it to tomorrow instead of today. They have a phone app too so you can have your to-do list and add/edit it whenever you want. Pros I use this software all day, every single day and recommend it to everyone. I organize my life using Todoist and I especially love how you can organize things by project. As a graduate student, I have tons of projects going on at a time but by having different folders to keep all my to-do lists and being able to reschedule things when I need has revolutionized how productive I am at work. Cons I wish you didn't have to pay for the pro version to see your completed tasks. I would feel more accomplished dif I could see a list of all the tasks I completed each day. It has a smartphone version, that i can check on my task easily even when i am not on my work computer. Cons Todoist lacks of feature that are needed to creating and managing a complex project or task. Everything syncs and the applications work generally really well. Pros I really like how easy you can use Todoist. It just does it's job, and that really well. You can track multiple projects and the point based system helps with staying productive. Cons I don't have huge cons about the software, but I did not like the switch from the old to the new desktop application on windows, it doesn't feel as great from a user experince standpoint. As my friend said, Todoist and forget it. Pros Todoist gives me an overview of my life every morning I wake up. It's not only great at keeping track of my personal tasks, but also organising collaborative projects as well. I like how we can assign tasks to users, set due dates, colour coding and custom tags are a godsend for a person who is very particular about their categories. Cons While the free version is very great for basic use, to get the most out of Todoist, you have to get the premium version. I've used many task and to-do apps, but gone cold with them after time. However, with Todoist, I've used it for 3 years straight, with no signs of slowing down! Pros Whilst some task management apps are stuffed with features, Todoist focuses on doing the important things really well. It's simplicity is so helpful, yet it's powerful too. The 'karma' system is a helpful game-ified way of increasing productivity, too! Cons One feature that would make a difference for me would be the ability to add multiple assignees to a task - this would avoid having to find workarounds. But this is the only drawback I have!
