Pros

I love how this makes scheduling jobs easier. It allows us to dispatch jobs to our employees and keep track of where they are and at what time.

Cons

The least thing i like about smart service is the fact you have to pay for certain add ons if you want the software to do different things

I have been using Smart Service and Ifleet for over a year now. I have been a dispatcher over 15 years. This software has been the best I have ever used. There are a lot of good features and the guys in the field are using it and its great. Thanks guys

We use it for scheduling field techs for service calls. Great features, but the designers need to work on the reliability of the program.

Pros

This software offers a lot of features. It is extremely easy to use. It is evident that quite a bit of thought went into the design of the software, because the features are useful and informative. Syncs with QBD.

Cons

This software is glitchy on a regular basis. It is unreliable and has difficulty connecting with QBD on a daily basis, at times.

Reason for choosing Smart Service

This software was chosen because it was better than the other options available (due to features available)

We use Smart Service with i-Fleet the mobile portal for accessing Smart Service from an i-pad. We are able to keep track of our customers, schedule calls and dispatch them to our employees in the field. The thing that sold us on their software was that it retained functionality when not connected to the Internet. Our business is in a rural area and cell phone service can be sketchy. Most all of the other mobile scheduling software programs had to have an Internet connection to modify files. There is no need with Smart Service and i-Fleet. We can take notes, charge items and take payments in the field. It updates once back in coverage. The customer support is second to none. There are not any emails with endless service steps or rude IT guys asking you to click buttons faster then you can find them. They quickly respond to service requests by connecting to my computer while on the phone with me and fixing everything from there side. This company is great!

Pros

Quick books integration, offline functionality, two way syncing of notes and charge items and last but not least amazing customer service!

Cons

Upfront cost but it is worth it.

Since starting to use Smart Service in March of 2016, we have seen immediate benefits over our old way of scheduling and invoicing. The interface makes sense and it was easy for my office staff to learn the system. The customer service is top notch. I especially appreciate being able to work with and request support from the same specific techs so that they "learn" about our specific needs and issues over time in able to give us personalized service. We have already added an additional 2 tech licenses since launching with the program a few months ago- because of the smart routing and customized color schemes, we are able to more efficiently route our technicians from one stop the the next which ultimately improves our revenue. The customers appreciate getting the pre-notifications when the tech is on his way. As with any software- this one is not without it's "bugs" whenever updates come out. There are still some improvements and fixes we are anticipating seeing in the near future. But the recent changes and updates to the system just since we started using it are impressive and encouraging that this software is just going to keep getting better and better! We love it!

It's easy to use. It's also incredibly easy to customize it to fit our needs. Customer service is excellent.

Cons

Addition of extra modules/options can get a little pricey. iFleet devices/handsets add up fast too.

iFleet is great for the guys out in the field. Keeping customer and job information together is very nice.

Pros

It's great for the guys out in the field! It also nice how customer and job information is all together.

Cons

Need to learn it more on the office side. Not all the functions seem to be very user-friendly and the travel and production times are not always the same in the reports.

I have had a great experience so far with smart service!! I have had minimal issues and when I have had them tech support has had them resolved immediately. This service had made my job easier and my techs don't have to call me 20 times a day because all of the information is provided for them on ifleet.

When a job is continued to a second day, and is completed it doesn't stay on the calendar.

It's been great to schedule with, does regular scheduling along with repairs on multiple visits and planned service jobs that repeat yearly. Ties in with QuickBooks, have had no problems with it whatsoever.

Pros

It seems to have lots of flexibility and based around helping us to never 'drop the ball' again! I especially like the ease of scheduling and ability to have multiple in process schedule window open so I can bounce between calls when needed. Also the waiting list sort capabilities and the post to invoice window so I can always see what is not yet compete - I know I am not even coming close to working the software to it's fullest nor correctly but it is leaps and bounds above what we were using and the integration with QB is fabulous!

Cons

This is not a like least, but so many details and hard to know which areas to focus on first to create a smooth transition and flow of work.

We thought this was what we had been looking for. They system is not very user friendly. It must me stored on a computer making working from home not possible. The service center NEVER answers their phone. They always all you back that day but it's maddening when you need to figure something out that you have to leave a message. However, if you call sales they pick up right away. It's an ok service but I would look elsewhere. For a few grand more you could have a custom system built.

Pros

It does store pictures and routes the jobs, however, many times it can't find the house so that is just omitted from the route.

Cons

Can be very slow, especially syncing. Integration with maps would be better with Google maps verse apple maps. Customer service is the biggest con

As a small business owner, a software program with great customer service means everything. Smart Service allows us to be more efficient with our record keeping, scheduling, and customer service. More importantly, I know that I would get quick support response with any questions, training, or upgrades. I would definitely recommend Smart Service for any small business, especially those that work with Quick Books for their accounting needs.

Pros

I really like that you can time stamp everything. This is very effective for keeping records. I also like that everything converts over to QuickBooks.

Cons

I don't like that you cannot transfer information. For example, if we enter a prospect and find out later that the prospect has been referred to us within our database, we have to delete the prospect and add them in under the location they were referred by. It would be much easier if you could manipulate them into that specific location instead of deleting and re-entering. When we complete a job and convert it to QuickBooks, we have problems. If we have symbols on our invoices (which is typical), when they convert over to QuickBooks, the symbols becomes questions marks. We have called and tried to figure this problem out, but have not been successful.
