Clocking in and out is simple, my hours are accurately tracked, and I can easily view my time entries. The app makes it convenient to record work time from different job sites, although occasional GPS or connectivity issues can occur depending on location. Pros I like that you can code it exactly to what your crew is doing not just to a job. However, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer service and pricing. In our experience, the value didn’t quite justify the cost, especially with many more affordable alternatives available on the market. Ultimately, this is why we decided to cancel our subscription. Pros What I liked most about ExakTime was its reliable time tracking and GPS location features. It made it easy to monitor employee hours, track job site locations, and manage crews efficiently in the field. The platform was fairly user-friendly, and the reporting filters were especially helpful for streamlining payroll and attendance tracking. Cons What I liked least about ExakTime was the pricing compared to the value it provided. While the software had useful features, there are more affordable alternatives that offer similar functionality. Customer service could also be improved, as support was not always as responsive or helpful as expected. Despite the several steps needed to get to customer service, their agent are extremely knowledgeable and super helpful Pros It's very easy to use. My company has people who have issues using their phone, but they re able to use this with no problem. It helps our reporting on how much time our employees spend on a particular project, and it helps us track the precise hours our employees spend on a project or a particular cost code. It makes managing our employees and jobs that much easier. Cons It's not easy to contact support or even add additional seats to your account. I wish they had an option of just purchasing X amount of seats without having to talk to customer service. It is reasonably priced and provides many useful features. We mainly switched to a new program because we changed accounting software and the new program was more integrated with another payroll software. Pros Exaktime allowed field workers to punch in and out of specific cost codes on each individual job. There was good reporting and monitoring, allowing supervisors to review and approve timesheet before submission. Cons We were unable to have field employees elect when they were on a travel job and should receive per diem, so we handled this through other means.
