I have loved it from the beginning. I have used it for keeping track of my billable hours for clients, to know how much time I am spending on writing for personal or private projects as well as clients. I have used it help me manage my time. I use it now as a caregiver for my mother to help me make sure I am working the hours required by the state - I have to work what they say, exactly every day, even though I actually work taking care of her 24/7. Pros Being able to keep track of the hours I work both billable and non-billable so I can keep track of how much time I am spending as well as how much money I am making. Also the ability to track multiple projects at once. Cons Some of the features take a little getting used to and it can be frustrating when you need to setup or add something new, especially if you haven't needed to do so in a long time. It's helped me create monthly bills very simply an easily. Pros I really like ease of use and functionality. Tracking my time as I'm working on multiple projects for different clients during the day is very simple. At the end of the month, I use the data to generate bills for my clients too. I can show or hide costing details to users with the permissions. Setting up a new client takes only a minute. Support has been very responsive to my questions and requests for features. Flexibility to having different rates by task, project, client or user. Dashboard and reports let me track billing progress during the month and are very flexible. Cons My only slight con for this system is the built in billing functionality. It didn't provide enough detail for my clients so I use the reports instead to create bills in quick books. It's good for knowing when I'm maxing out my budget by spending too long on a project and it serves as a motivational spur for my creative work, letting me see a record of time spent on these projects. This spurs me on. Pros I was using an analog notebook to track my time until a freelance friend introduced me to Myhours.com. It's much more accurate, as I used to forget to write in my little notebook. I also use myhours for non-work related tasks, to see how much household financial management takes me or other tasks. Cons I don't feel that it's very intuitive when you need to change things. I was asking customer service a lot of question as to how to change mistakes in naming tasks, etc. Fortunately the customer service is excellent. But I also notice that when I log in time spent on a project after the fact, I will put the time in and then my entry will be erased/changed by myhours. It seems buggy in this way. Pros This time tracking software is so easy to use it took me no time to integrate it into my daily processes. Very easy for new employees to understand and use properly. Editor Writing and Editing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Allows me to be keep track of hours worked" October 29, 2021 5.0 Pros As a freelancer, I was very familiar with Upwork's time tracking software and needed something similar that would allow me to track time for my other clients and send an invoice at the end of the month. does the job perfectly allowing me to show clients where my hours have been spent, and to bill each one by downloading an automatically generated pdf report to send them. I can also add / adjust time when I've forgotten to start/stop tracking, add one-off fees, and if I needed to I could bill different amounts for different tasks within each client. My Hours has lots of additional features and is very reasonably priced, the free version actually being more than enough for what I needed for many years. I can't recommend My Hours highly enough for freelancers who have multiple clients billed at various rates. Cons Initial setup and finding where to edit information can take a few minutes of additional time so be sure to read the FAQ/help sections as you go along rather than trying to figure it out on your own. Isn't bogged down by tons of features. Since it's just me, all I do is track my time so that I can invoice later (I don't use the invoicing feature because my clients all have different systems and ways they like to be invoiced). I'm able to sort by client, project, and task, which is perfect for my needs. And I can track different billing rates for different clients/projects. Cons There is no way to track time/budget for a retainer-based contract without creating a whole new project :-/ Reason for choosing My Hours Because it's not geared toward big, disparate teams or enterprises that would need a ton of features. The app is handy as well to start and stop time, although I wish I could manually add complete logs. If this software had no free version, I would gladly pay for it. I'm probably going to eat those words once the owners read this review, haha. Pros This software has been free the entire time I've used it. All of the features I need are in the free version. I can have multiple customers and hourly rates. After I add all of my time log, it can print a report of how much I can bill for. I attach this report to all of my invoices. Cons The invoicing function never worked for me, which is why I don't use Myhours pro. I'm sure it works well now though. This product is simple, and cost effective and has helped us increase our billing by approximately 10 - 15% percent each month, which far outweighs the cost. It helps us identify fixed fee clients who need a review as their business has expanded and the reports from can be used to assist with justification of increases, Cons Up until recently, the exporting of large volume of data was very slow, and frequently crashed the system, however the way the reports are prepared has changed and is now working super. e.g. show me all time spent on a client for the last 12 month by all staff. Pros It's a pretty straight forward software. Easy to use. Intuitive. Any time I had a question or feature request I received a response very quickly! Pros The free version has enough for most users. I use it to track what aspects of my job I am spending my time on. This helps answer the question: How much of your time would you say you spend on task X? Basic charts show you exactly where you are spending time. Generating that awareness also helps me to utilize my time more effectively. The visibility tends to make a person waste less time, as they are accountable to the App to log it somewhere useful. I've recommended this for that purpose to several of my colleagues. Cons Sometimes a few more clicks than necessary to enter the times. The Now +/- feature is awesome, but manually keying in times like 11:35 AM to 1:00 PM manually is a lot of buttons and possibly could be a little easier with some basic data entry tools. Maybe 2 +/- buttons? One for 5 min, one for 30 min or 1 hour? Reason for choosing My Hours The App is free and actually useful as such!!!! That way, I can show them how much time it takes to make a research, create the logo, change the logo, and the complete process. Pros I like that MyHours tracks precisely the amount of hours used to create any material/job/service execution. It has helped me to organize all my jobs, including the companies/advertising agencies/offices plus freelancer works, and by so, I can show to my clients exactly how much time I invest on creating their artworks. Easy to start & stop time (and edit it if I forget to do so - there's also a handy message to tell you that there's a running project from a previous day). Cons The mobile app still needs a bit of work (a little slow for my preference), but I was glad to see it in development least year. Before then I had just bookmarked the page and used it that way. I'm so glad I found . The free version is a perfect and low-maintenance way to track hours, projects and rates. I don't yet need the functions of the Pro version, but I'm ready to make that leap if it comes to it. In the meantime, I've tried to get every solo pro I know to make My Hours part of their day. Cons I'm still learning the mobile app. I wish it more closely mirrored the way certain functions operate on the site, but it is still a good way to track time if I'm not near the full browser version. Ultimately for the price, this has been the best value per dollar since our productivity tools lie elsewhere and we use MyHours purely for tracking billable time per client. We've been able to expand from the basic features and use the "Task" feature quite robustly to handle some of the much larger accounts that essentially house "sub-accounts". For a growing startup looking to keep costs down, MyHours has been good to us. Last year we explored other options as our company suddenly expanded and decided that a simple solution was still the best solution for us even 6 years in. Pros I like how simple the interface is for the single thing that is done the most every day: tracking hours. Just select client and hit start. If you want more details that can be provided, but we've been able to track a lot of data from just the user, the client, and the amount of hours alone Cons As a graphic designer I wish the interface was a bit more beautiful, but as a ux designer I know that it's value lies in the simplicity of the interaction not how pretty the buttons are. July 15, 2019 4.0 MyHours helps me keep track of hours spent on hourly-billed projects, where I send the reports to my clients for payment. It's simple, intuitive, and very efficient. Pros A cloud-based solution with an iPhone app, meaning I can update actual hours right on the spot. MyHours has an intuitive interface, which enabled me to start working and using it immediately after creating my user. Cons Not too much to say here. Reports (and filtering reports when exporting to Excel) can be improved. IThe current reports are ok, I use them to export to Excel in order to delete unnecessary columns and fields that I don't want to send to my clients. I think that more flexibility in the reporting part will do good for the software.
