Web developer Internet Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Better than Harvest" July 15, 2019 5.0 I've been using Harvest for a company I work for for years and it's amazing how everything can be simpler and more effective with My Hours, not to mention the extra features it provides even on the free version. I plan to get the paid one soon. Pros I like how it's ease to use and to duplicate a single entry to a new day. I like how it shows the different times of the entry and how you can adjust every single one of them. Also the reports, I like about the information and details that contains in it. Cons I use the free version so I don't know how if it's the same with the paid one, on the last update when I export the report I don't see how to export to a single client anymore, I prefered that option. The functionality to add rates at project setup and to not have to worry about them individually is just awesome! I've only used the free version and the fact that I haven't ever been forced to get the premium version is something I'm very thankful about. If and when I would grow my team, I would surely try out the version for teams. Cons Only one: the lack of connecting this with other PMS like trello or asana is something I would love to see. Pros It's free and theoretically easy to use. I use it for the most basic of time tracking - I don't input projects or anything, just fill out the description box as I switch tasks. Cons It doesn't work properly about 60% of the time. I will write in the 'description' box what I've been doing, and frequently have to add a couple of minutes as I occasionally forget to click 'Start' straight away, but as soon as I click pause to edit the time log, it deletes everything I have just typed. Every time I complain, I get told to use a different browser. I DON'T WANT TO USE A DIFFERENT BROWSER. I AM NOT THE ADMIN ON MY COMPUTER AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO BEG THE IT COMPANY TO SET UP A NEW BROWSER JUST FOR THIS ONE TOOL!!! Customer service keeps telling me to use Chrome instead, if I wanted to use the Chrome browser, don't you think I would ALREADY be using it??? Pros The project and task setups are easy to use and modify for update billing arrangements. The app lets me add time easily when I am away from the office but taking calls or doing other tasks. Cons I would like to see the ability to provide for fixed fees based on a set number of hours, which thereafter automatically toggles to the set billing rate. Pros Easy to start, stop and pause the timer. Easy to adjust the time spent on a task (especially useful if I ever forget to pause). I like that I can customize the hourly rate for different projects--I just have to specify which project I'm working on when I start a session and then I can just refer to the report later to see how much I should bill the client. It's nice not having to do those calculations myself. Cons Would be great if it were easier to distinguish between what tasks I was working on for a specific project. I have already recommended it to friends and colleagues. Pros I have tried a few time tracking programs and found MyHours the easiest to use and the most intuitive. I have the free version and it does everything I need to track time for client projects and create professional-looking reports that I send with my invoices. Highly recommend MyHours. Cons I don't have any problems with MyHours, it does everything I need. I can extract reports very easily to use in meetings with my manager so that we can realistically look at work loads and set schedules for further projects going forward. Pros I really like the easy to use time tracker which allows me to effortlessly record the time I spend on task, it can be easily switched to record time on another task when I move on to something else. I like the summary reports too, to collectively look at what I have been working on, and how long I have spent on it, over a given period of time. Cons When I add a time manually to a task, it sometimes changes the first numbers I type in, when I type them a second time, they are fine. Review Source TL Tara L. Pros As a consultant I work with billable hours and rely on My Hours to keep track of my hours. I know it has many other functionalities, but that's the only one I use Cons I wish we could see the hours report by day. Pros \- weekly summary reports; - easy switch between clients/projects; - the "manual time adding" feature; - tracks time even when the laptop is in sleeping mode/turned off; - freemium product. Cons If I forget to turn off the time tracker on Friday, I will not receive any notification about that over the weekend, so when I back to work on Monday, I could find extra 96 hours tracked... Pros This software is by far the simplest for my needs. I am able to easily track my hours then can report on them at the end of the month for milling purposes. Cons Only feature that is missing is the ability to bill clients in multiple currencies, however they provide integration that allows me to interface with my finance package to generate invoices. Reason for choosing My Hours Simplest to use compared to all the other products I reviewed and I looked at all the top rated services. I prefer this one by far! I can open it in the morning and all I have to do is add the details of the work I am doing and hit "start now". It runs in the background without my attention, I can click stop when I have a coffee break or lunch and hit resume to have the time start quickly. I also like the fact that I can download into excel spreadsheet which allows for more personalization like different shaded lines for different work. I highly recommend this time tracking software. July 15, 2019 5.0 I am employed as a part time attorney for a quasi-governmental nonprofit corporation. I have used My Hours for almost 10 years to track my time on all legal projects I have worked on. While I don't need to use it for billing purposes, My Hours provides me with the ability to generate reports showing the value added benefit to the corporation by using an in-house attorney as opposed to contracting out the legal work to a private law firm. Pros The Software was very intuitive and user friendly and still had the capability of keeping detailed information and selecting some of the detail for specialized reports. I did not use it for billing customers, as I was a salaried employee of the non-profit whose time was not billed separately from the client's agreed upon payment for services rendered. Cons At this time, the only issue I have had is assigning new tasks to a project. For some reason the new task would not be saved after assignment. Review Source Eric L. I looked through many different options and MyHours ended up working perfectly for me. I’m able to track time for several clients and break down each project which makes billing a breeze. Pros The software is super easy to use and has all of the features I need. Cons Sometimes when their is a major update to the interface, it’s takes time to relearn where certain things are. Looks very professional. I also enjoy using the software because it is very simple and functional. Pros My Hours is super easy to use. Its interface is very intuitive, I could easily understand how to create projects, tasks and log my time. Also, it generates a nice graphic to visualize how are my hours for the month and creates a beautiful (but simple) report to deliver to my clients. Cons Since I use the free account, I'm very satisfied with the service. But the only thing I think would be nice to have in the free account is the possibility to add a manager or supervisor that could check my hours without me sending them. So the only thing I don't like is that I am alone in the platform and cannot add a someone to overview my tasks/hours.
