Pros: Gradelink makes my job so much easier. I am always needing to know grades and demographics. I'm able to send out messages to teachers and/or parents. I can also use the app on my phone if I need to send out a message while I'm out of the office. Plus, the folks at Gradelink are always just a phone call away from explaining what I need to know. Thank you!

Pros: Gradelink has many features, and they continue to improve it. It is customizable. The best thing I like about Gradelink is their customer support. They have responded to me in expedient fashion. They have even made a design change or two for me.

Cons: I am not in love with the report card feature. We have elementary and secondary students which use different formats. I wish they had the ability to show cumulative GPA for high school report cards. They only provide annual GPA.

Overall: It provides faculty with an efficient and digital means for recording grades, assignments, and lesson plans. It provides a means for parents to always be aware of the academic progress of their student. It provides administration a means for managing the classrooms of our school.

Pros: I like how I get to see all of my grades for all of the subjects. It is so awesome to be able to do it, before I get the report card, so that I can bump up my grades if I have to. The customer service rocks and I love getting to chat with the people here. I love school!!!!!!

Cons: I don't really know if there is anything I don't like about this software. I don't like it when I forget my password or username or something. I maybe wish that I could chat with other students or maybe my classmates on here, but everything is so great. It was like pulling teeth trying to figure out bad things about this software.

Overall: I get to check my grades and chat with people. I love being able to keep up with my grades daily and see how I am doing in school. I didn't answer my Industry or my Company Size because I am a student and I don't own a company.

Pros: The help team!!!! Hands down. Everyone there is so patient with me. The customer service agent was a great help today as well and quickly answered my questions without having to call or waste time figuring it out.

Cons: I think the financial side has been very challenging. Us using this feature almost defeats what we really needed it for in the first place. If I have to record every single payment, I might as well have parents pay me directly in the office. I will say that having the auto pay plans are effective but we will see as the year progresses. There are other features I'd like to see but can't recall at this time. Engrade had some great features that Gradelink doesn't.

If I think of others, I will surely direct them to your team.

Pros: All have been very helpful and useful. Teachers use it for grades, our admin. office for tracking communication with parents, including service hours, payment plans, etc.

Overall: Student/parents school communication program.

Pros: Ability to see real time student averages. Along with quickly being able to see what assignments students are missing .

Cons: On the administrative side, sometimes it is challenging to get formatting to look the way you want, but the support staff has been very good to work with to solve the problem.

Overall: Computer generated report cards.

Pros: The program support is excellent! Whenever I have a question, I send an email to the customer rep and I get same day response with the exact information I need to move forward.

Cons: We are still figuring out how to implement the non-traditional assessment system we use in the primary grades.

Pros: I like that we can put assignments in our lesson plan and it goes in the grade book. I think it will be good for our lessons

Cons: I don't like we can't add a time to our subjects, and we needed to have our standards in there for us to follow along

Pros: I like that this software has the grades and lesson plans in one place. It is user friendly, easy to use.

Cons: The one thing I do not enjoy about this software is that there are missing time slots for lesson plans.

Pros: In the short time we have been using Gradelink, we are amazed at how it has simplified so many things for our school staff. It now houses all our information where before we had spreadsheets, charts, and lists. We are extremely impressed with the program and our customer service representative has answered any questions we've had in record time. Thank you Gradelink!

Cons: It would be nice if there were a step by step manual that could be given to schools when they purchase the program. A manual that could explain details on setting up all the information for both administrators and teachers. Overall, we have no experienced anything negative with Gradelink. We are very happy with the program.

Overall: Our school has always had all our information (attendance, family directory, student rosters, even report cards, etc.) in Excel spreadsheets or Word documents. Gradelink has changed all that and have everything housed in one program. It is nice that it can be accessed from anywhere and our teachers aren't tied to their desks late into the evening or on weekends.

Pros: The software is impressive and user friendly; however, the customer service Heritage Christian School received from Steve Lockwood was bar none. He gave a detailed presentation/demonstration and allowed numerous calls/emails to enable HCS make a decision about implementing an online enrollment program.

Pros: Simplicity and the availability of Gradelink Service for training. I have found the Customer Service Support teams readily available and willing to help.

Cons: Accounting Month End and Financial Reporting Reports. I'd like to see a clearer method available to check and balance accounts prior to closing each accounting period.

Pros: The ability to have grades calculated with ease. We used to do grades by hand and it was a nightmare. Now we can go up to the day of grades and not have the same worries.

Cons: We could be more specific with how we would like our GPA's calculated as opposed to two semesters to have four marking periods.

Overall: One the administrator/teacher sets up grade assignments, it is a breeze to place the items into the software. Even those who are not "computer savvy" can get this with minimum training.

Pros: I find it very easy to use. So happy that there is the SMS system now. It is so much easier than the previous one we used. We have been with Gradelink for 10 years and it just gets better and easier to use.

Cons: I like the Directory but I need to get BOTH parents address for divorced families.
Currently it only shows one address.

Cons: I would somehow like an app that is accessible from my phone and tablet and the other administrators could use also.

Pros: Gradelink has a very clean user interface which is important for staff that may not feel comfortable with technology.

Cons: The report options are not always the most user friendly. Some of the features that are becoming common in other software programs are extra to purchase.

Overall: It was an easy transition for our staff from our previous grading software and allowed the parents to get online.

Pros: It is easy to use, the customer service aspect is fantastic, the software itself gives us an advantage to allowing our students online registration and access to lots of different information.

Overall: It makes my job enrolling and reenrolling students 100 times easier!!! Communicating with parents and teachers is also a bonus as there are many options for me to choose from.

Pros: Ease of use for even the non-computer savy users. Integration of enrollment through Enroll Me into Gradelink.

Cons: Limited ability in layout of the teacher/school pages as well as inserting graphics into emails from our own files. It would be nice if it were more user friendly for the not so computer savy users.

Overall: All of our student information right at our fingertips!

Pros: Every information we need is stored in G.Link. All lesson plans and standards are together. Standards carry a lot of information for teachers. Grades are easily entered and are not lost. Parents communication has gotten better this year because of G.Link. Every teacher has a web page that she/he can design.
Administrators can publish their announcement daily, weekly and monthly.

We like the fact that it prepares the students' report cards and transcripts. We do not have to do that any more. The discipline, students' health life, parents' information is all there for us.
Teachers like it so much. They still need to get used to it and the deadlines they receive but I know for a fact that they like the features in the lesson plans such as copy and paste the whole week then make daily changes. I keep teaching this feature because that 's what will make their planning so easy, especially for those ho have 6 different subjects to plan.

I love how the administrator can easily check teachers' lesson plans, up to date grades. Teachers reports is another feature that is really valuable. Once teacher understand how to use, they can retrieve a lot of information from those reports and use.

The Gradelink staff and team members are extremely sharp and helpful. They usually give us answers right a way even if we call 10 times a day. They still help.
They know well that once we get it we will stop calling them. I love their big support.

Cons: One thing does bother me. We want to send information to parents such as pictures, newsletters and so on. We can not send 2 at the time or more than one.
We have to wait a certain time in order to send another info. This does work for us as we have to send timely information. Something that we have to send today, we can wait until next week to send. It is time sensitive.

Overall: Most of all, the biggest benefit is that it saves our time in the office. We do not have information everywhere. All information is located in the software.

Pros: The fact that parents have all information necessary in one location is very beneficial. There is no need to seek out several sites, so questions are answered quickly.

Cons: Some adjustments do take awhile to implement. We need to customize some of the programs to our particular site needs.

Overall: Parent communication is enhanced ten-fold, financial information is available to parents, emergency information can be accessed with a click, and next year we'll be adding the Service Hour option.

Pros: Very user friendly. Just a few clicks and report cards are done - love it! Also, the fact that you can export to excel and use information in so many ways.

Cons: If you have multiple students in one family you still have to enter all of the information for contacts, etc. Would be so much easier if all you had to do was add the new sibling information and all other information was already there.

Overall: this software is used daily by the entire school staff. I go into the program constantly during the day and the teachers are in and out all day as well. Very good program.

Pros: I like that Gradelink is always expanding the capabilities in which the admin, students, parents can interface with the system.

Cons: Some features are missing....for example, a way to create a parent/teacher conference schedule for the whole school. But as I stated before, Gradelink is constantly expanding their capabilities.

Pros: Ease of ability to do lesson plans, report cards, enrollment, preschool sign in, communication. It's great.

Cons: I'd like to be able to break down groups for communication more. You have done a great job with tags for students, but we want to break up staff as well: Aides, Teachers, etc. Or how about parent volunteers?

Overall: The benefit of ease of communicating with our school, recording lesson plans, making report cards, making enrollment smoother. . . to list a few.

Pros: The software is easy to navigate. When I came into using this software, I had little training from previous administrators. I was able to teach myself to navigate through.

Cons: The only complaints I would have is when our teachers would somehow get locked out for no reason. Other than that everything was great.

Pros: This SIS provides info at a few clicks, create great reports, and report cards.
They did improved the staff roster export.

Pros: Contact info data base is very easy to use. All of the information that I typically use is located all on one page. I also like the format of the report cards we print.

Pros: What I like most is all that it has to offer, such as report cards, email communication and data management reports into exel or pdf. I like that the software is being updated and changed as new aspects become available and that there is a learning site to resource on how to use to our best advantage.

Cons: For now, I do wish the prospects portion of the software was a little more refined. It does store information that as a school we do use and resource however I do wish somehow those could be status switched to new enrollment if they chose to enroll. Seems like a lot of duplicating of information.

Overall: As Admissions Coordinator it has really helped the process for online enrollment and management of less paper. Our school is slowly transitioning our system and process completly to Gradelink.

Pros: Very user friendly. It has great communication tools for our school to use. It just makes everyone's job a little easier!

Cons: There could be a few more features added that would help in the Admin section. I will say, however, Gradelink is constantly adding new features and it encourages it's users to submit new ideas for improvement.

Pros: I like how many different options there are for entering and using information through the Gradelink system.

Cons: If you don't have certain privileges awarded to you through the system by your administrators there are many options you can not access. This is not a Gradelink software issue. I find the software very easy to navigate.

Overall: I am able to call up attendance reports and not have to re-interpret written daily logs. Others are able to access the same information.

Pros: I like the shared family information, that parents can look at all of their children's grades in all of their classes under one login. I like the ease of communicating with one class or one grade level without having to create my own email groups. I like being able to change and manipulate the reports to our school's needs. I love the helpfulness of customer support and totally appreciate the fact that they stand with us in trying to understand how to make it work for us instead of being short on patience or frustrated with my inexperience.

Cons: I still haven't figured out how to end up with one English Literatue and Composition grade that incapsulates literature, writing, vocabulary and spelling classes with their different teachers into one final grade for the report card. As our school grows it would be helpful to have that as part of the program instead of the round about way I am doing it currently.

Overall: I am able to keep all of the information about my students and their grades in one easy-to-use, integrated platform. Since this was my first year working with a school and my first year using Gradelink, I had to learn quickly so I could stay ahead of the game while teaching the staff, parents, and students to use it as well. Gradelink was easy to understand, for the most part, and the support staff were easy to work with when I couldn't understand quick enough. I would recommend making more quality training videos to make your product easier to use and more professional feeling.

Pros: I love the simplicity of the program, the video tutorials, and the customer service. There have been many times we were relatively sure we understood how to enter data or fix an error, but we called to make sure. The customer service reps are always helpful and easy to understand.

Cons: I wish the lesson plan module had a little more flexibility to carry over plans from year to year. If they carried over (without copying and pasting from folders) I would totally use every part of Gradelink as a teacher and a site admin.

Overall: We have enjoyed being able to enter data from any web browser. I also like being able to look up information on the go from my mobile devices.

Pros: The customer service has my highest respect. Always helpful and polite. The waiting time on the phone is minimum.

Cons: I wish the GPA scoring feature is clearer and less confusing. There is a mix up when we try to create core subject GPAs, e.g. When looking up for "Science", the "Computer Science" subject is included too. That is not desirable.

Overall: Simplified grading, attendance and discipline records 100%.

Pros: I do enjoy this software immensely! It has a lot of great features, which meld together seamlessly. I have used this software both as a guidance counselor with full admin privileges, and as a teacher. It is easily accessible to parents, and allows teachers to keep parents informed on a daily basis. The platform appears to be solid, and I don't have random "grade changes" while I'm not looking! I've listed four small issues below. When these are fixed, it will be fairly close to perfect, and I will be able to give it five stars all around. As with any multiple-feature computer program, there is a learning curve.
Customer support is always there and willing to talk to us.

Cons: 1. We cannot set up grading differently for middle school and high school. (We would like 25% per quarter, 10% exam for middle school, 40/40/20 for high school.) 2. We cannot easily select out parent vs. student e-mail in the Communicate section. 3. I would like to ability to write a comment on a transcript that is neither a test nor an award. 4. I would like to have the ability to print out a grade level of transcript. Specifying graduation year rather than grade level would be fine.

Overall: Not only has this software streamlined our grading and transcripting process, but it allows us to keep parents informed of students' academic progress, as well as school events in an easy and seamless fashion.

Pros: The gradebook and lesson plan features are great. They are linked together so that when you put an assignment in the lesson plan, it automatically shows up in the gradebook. Online enrollment and being able to pay online are other great features.

Cons: The financial piece is different for us. We are getting use to it. We were use to money being in one account for a family. In Gradelink, money needs to be designated per child as well as what it is for. For parents in the school that were familiar with our old system, this has been difficult. For new families, it's been fine. For admin, it's just a different way of doing things.

Pros: The ease of getting help with problems is one of the best features of the program. The program is easy for teachers to learn.

Cons: The program does not have a feature to log in and deal with Service Hours for parents. This is an essential area for our parents to be able to check on their hours without an individual parent needing to maintain a spreadsheet and send out emails one by one with parent data.

Overall: It is an easy way to track attendance and grades. The teachers are able to plan lessons on this software. The office and staff have access to demographic data as needed.

Overall: Since starting with Gradelink for the teachers for all the grades, and for parents and students to log in and keep close communications, and for email communication with families, we have been able to expand the use to the Student Information System. Customer Service are very responsive and knowledgeable. (I wish they would also do a voice messaging system!)

Overall: Every time I call with a question, I am reassured that someone will exhaust all efforts to make sure I understand how to navigate the program with ease. Like most tools, a great deal more functionality is possible than is needed. So, you really need to map out what your organization requires.

Overall: I work for an organization that required a flexible tool for maintaining student data. It was also important that the learning curve and the technical support was reasonable...and Gradelink was just that tool!

Recommendations to other buyers: Surprisingly, I was really pleased that the tool did not require a terribly technical resource to manage the account.

Comments: The fact that you can't convert a prospective student to an active student is enough to look elsewhere for a different software. There is no flexibility in reporting - it would be helpful to be able to just choose the fields you want to show up in a report, but that's not possible. If you're just looking for something to keep track of grades only, it might be ok, but the contact management portion is severely lacking.

Overall: Gradelink has made keeping parents involved with their students educations so easy. Teacher enter curriculum in the lesson plans, assignments are listed in the Gradebook. Students and teachers are able to find information about students work all in one place. Great form of communication between parents, students and teacher. School page let everyone know what is going on at the school in one easy to find place. Staff are ready to help and take your recommendations to heart. Would not want to do my job without it.

Pros: Variety of features available for completing the many tasks necessary in an academic setting.

The constant updates of new ones are very encouraging.

Cons: It would be much more convenient taking attendance if classes could be grouped by their time periods as they can be under the classes tab.

Overall: As an admin/ registrar some of my tasks are infrequently performed; that plus the unique situations of our students' needs make tweaks necessary. The service techs are exact, courteous and always encouraging, in spite of errors on our end. Best tech support system I've encountered in the past 8 years!

Recommendations to other buyers: Having a strong and consistent source of internet connection is mandatory to save and retrieve data.

Pros: Once you learn it; it is easy to remember how to apply skills and teach others.

Cons: There are times when I would like to export information to create mailing labels or rosters for testing and to my knowledge, I am not able to do this with Gradelink.

Overall: I was working on creating and populating classes for exams for our seventh and eighth graders. Somehow without realizing it, I created an extra seventh-grade language arts class for quarter one. As I was double checking to make sure I had everything set up correctly, I noticed a seventh-grade language arts class with zero students. I did NOT notice that this was an extra class. I thought that somehow I had deleted grades and students from quarter one. To be honest, I was scared, nervous, and quite frankly wondering how on Earth I could correct my perceived mistake. When you're that upset, it is hard to see what is right in front of you. So, after about fifteen minutes, I called. customer support answered the call. They listened. They talked with me and found the problem. I was so sure that I had 'lost' grades for students that I didn't totally believe that everything was fine. C.S. reassured me. They led me to 'see' for myself that all the information I thought I had lost was still there. I could have cried as I was so relieved.

In the eighteen months of being assistant principal for our school I have learned so much. There are some companies I will not use anymore. Then, there are companies like Gradelink that have helped me to learn. I have often praised Gradelink's customer service. Some of the people I know by name as they have helped me with issues that I perceived to be challenging; whereas they showed me how to solve the issue.

Cons: Nothing that I can think of that is bad - we had a couple of glitches with grades, but that was fixed quickly.

Overall: This is our second year to use this software (2016). When my daughter started her school in the 5th grade we used it mainly for checking her grades. This year we have used it on multiple levels. I love how we know, not only her grades, but also her upcoming assignments. We can also see any papers that are attached to the assignment. Just recently the school started using the home page for the school newsletter and each of the teachers set up a teacher announcement page. Staying in the loop has made the transition to middle school a lot easier for this mom. We can also keep an eye on our daughter's lunch tab using this program.

Pros: Extremely simple interface, clean and clear!

Cons: I honestly don't have any complaints!

Overall: Gradelink is the definition of Simplicity! Hands down one of the most functional and user friendly programs I have worked on to date! I have been in IT through the school system for over 12 years using various programs and I feel that this program is one of the best I have used to date! The Tech support team is wonderful and extremely helpful should you need assistance. Highly Recommended!!

Comments: This is my first time using Gradelink from the administrative side and we just started our second marking period. I needed a lot of help transferring some kids and some special classes between trimesters and Axel walked me right through it, step by step. I felt a lot better after our conversation.

Pros: Ease of use and the sheer number of options for administering a school.

Cons: The lack of a telepathic interface ;-)

Overall: We had an issue with report cards. I called and spoke to Ben who very patiently walked me through resolving my most pressing issue and then followed up on a less pressing issue for me. I could not have been more pleased with his efforts.

Comments: I am a teacher and the office administrator and I use grade link every single day. Though i don't always find it to be technically easy to use, I have always found technical support to be outstanding. Each time they are so patient, so kind, and truly efficient. However, I was blown away by the support received by Ben K this past week. He was so great with our reports that we were able to get out on time, even though i had to call him four times in one day. Each call made was net with kindness and knowledge and made me feel supported and valued. He is a commendable employee and he earns more than five stars from our school. Thank you. Ben, for everything!

Pros: As an admin, I like the functionality.

Cons: It is kind of glitchy. And all the extras cost so it was hard to tell what all we were buying.

Overall: This is our THIRD SIS. The staff have really helped us with even the most minor (usually user) errors and problems. I completely recommend this program.

Pros: The software is web based and accessible from any computer. It is very user friendly and easy to use. The customer service from Gradelink is outstanding. Whenever we've had any questions, problems or issues, they've been very quick and responsive to get them resolved. They are great to work with!

Overall: We have been using Gradelink as our online grading system since 2011. We are very happy with the tools and features they offer. It is a great value for the money and very user friendly for school administrators, teachers, parents and students.
