I think Big Change is very simple to use and efficient for my work, it provides me with information I sometimes require and the tracking system is very accurate which is, what I think, the main priority.

Pros

I like how easy it is to see the vehicles on the map, the icons are perfect.

Cons

Sometimes when using the 'show journey' option if I am trying to distinguish a time that a vehicle was first in a specific place it can be difficult to determine the time on the map if he has been and left that place more than once within the day as there are several blue arrows etc.

Pros

Job Watch has allowed us to merge several different software programme functions in to one. As we grow the business we will be able to maintain the current number of office staff, making us streamlined and competitive. It is quite literally the vision I had for the business.

Cons

That I didn't have the brains to come up with it.

Reason for choosing BigChange

Charlie said 'yes' to almost every question we asked and 'no, but we can make it happen' to the rest. So far he has been good to his word.

Terrible. Was told it did something that was business critical to ourselves to find that it doesn’t do it. They provide “workarounds” that take much longer than much better priced alternatives. We are in a much worse position for trying to implement it and have resorted to using our previous job management software and paying for 2 systems is a better alternative to using Big Change alone.

Pros

Great advertising and sales pitch, looks great on the surface.

Cons

Real world use is terrible, especially if you have used alternative software. Tied to contract regardless of false advertising. If you don’t feel it’s good for you then it’s tough luck because they do. Hands down the worst mistake I have made in choosing this software for our workforce. We have had it for approximately a year and not used it yet.

Pros

We have found the software from Big change to save us hours of administration time, no longer chasing paperwork from our mobile field operatives, accurate feedback whilst on site has greatly changed our client feedback and updates on orders to job complete to Invoicing times are instant.

Cons

Our job sheets took some time but it was worth the time invested and has saved us countless hours per week.

Pros

I like the system as I can log all the information - dates, certificates, invoices for the Transport. I can schedule the PMI's so that they do not get missed. I like the fact that it sends you reminder if training or vehicle information is near expiry.

Cons

Adding absences is time consuming as you need to do each one daily.

Everyone is friendly and road crew help with any issues

Pros

Big change makes it easy to take photos and tag to job sheets time and date stamping. Allows for pictures of damage or problems prior to carrying out any work. All job sheets are easy to email to customers. Also covers health and safety issues especially with Covid at the moment.

Cons

Nothing works well easy to use carry on

Fantastic, they are always helpful if any issues are raised and get them resolved quickly. The software is slick and easy to use and is a huge help in our daily tasks

Pros

It is very effective of timings of when jobs have been done and is very easy to create new jobs and allocated on to drivers.

Cons

It can have its moments on being a little slow however this is usually when they are doing an update on the software which they warn you of anyway

### "One stop shop!"

Pros

Initially, we required a vehicle tracking software to replace Road Angel. Big Change was the obvious choice as the price was competitive and came with a host of additional features such as job planning. Excellent customer service, which I know is vital in a software company. I really, really like the new university training platform as you can never know enough.

Cons

I will be honest, there is nothing I dislike about the software or the user experience.

Missed jobs for sites as they are flagged on the map. Not completing jobs without a purchase order as site can be put on stop.

Pros

It is a good overview of work completed, all detailed information for each site in one place. You can use the new ideas portal for any suggestions you have to better the system.

Cons

Still requires fixes and additional benefits for certain things.

Its a long process setting up the system to our businesses specific requirements. But in the long run it has reduced a lot of admin time on multiple tasks.

Pros

how versatile it is. you can log jobs, track engineers, create sales opportunities/quotes, add expenses and use timesheets. All this can be done in one system.

Cons

Some features are quite admin heavy such as customer specific rates and discounts.

Somewhat adaptable, The ability to see the work finished and ready to invoice asap

Cons

Support, especially with API, you have to wait for a developer to look over the issue. Our IT also bemoans that the API changes without warning

The amount of information you can store within this software is great you can access all your important info and it is all easily accessible in one place Efficiency Friendly Road Crew Customer Services Job History Map/Tracker

Cons

Waiting times for resolving issues with customer services relayed 2 weeks System error causing slow use or none use of the software occur too often System seems unpredictable when booking in jobs at times it deletes information that we have typed in and refreshes the job as blank

We can easily manage dead mileage and cut fuel cost by using the system and currently have trackers fitted on 44 buses

Pros

The system is really easy to use and the price is excellent compared to others on the market

The system covers everything that we require from the system

The Bigchange team have been great, the training has been easy to follow and catered to what we needed from the system first. I love the fact that the meetings are recorded and sent to me so i can go back and re-watch the training as and when needed. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and the team have done a great job in listening to our needs of the system and showing us how it can work for us.

Pros

I love the fact that everything we need to manage the business is under one platform. Our CRM, checking sheets, HR, quotes, invoicing, vehicle tracking etc. It makes my job so mch easier and helps me to manage the team wherever i am. It also goes a long way to helping our company look after the environment by allowing us to go paperless.

Cons

I haven't found a 'Con" as such yet. Im still new to the system. The system itself takes alot of training but this is understandble with the broad range of features it has.

I find having everything on the one system extremely helpful, from scheduling the engineers to invoicing saving notes and information to the back of each job.

Pros

I have found the system easy to work with and over the last several years I have seen the system perfect in many ways. I find the CRM system the best I have ever used.

Cons

I have had a small amount of training on the stock system and found this complicated and quite intense.

The overall experience has been fairly good, however, we have had to develop various work arounds to tailor for our needs.

Pros

It is easy to view engineers/jobs on the main screen. Search function is also useful for specific searches i.e. individual engineers.

Cons

Unscheduled jobs are not easy to separate and view quickly and in turn can't bulk schedule at one time i.e. 40/50 jobs. We can't blank out the availability of engineers i.e. holidays, training etc...

Hi Alan, thank you for your comments. Within the BigChange platform it is possible to create 'absence types' which can be used for Annual Leave, Training, Sickness etc. These can be added to resources either from the web interface, or requested by resources via the tablet. When an absence is approved, this blocks out their availability on the schedule. Should you require any additional information on how to set this up, please contact RoadCrew
