Before TD/OMS, it was a manual process of promoting things to production. Source code was changed live. Often times production objects were compiled from the developers library, so the source did not match the object. Took me a while but cleaned this mess up.

Pros

The software generally runs itself. Most of the issues, I can diagnose myself.

Cons

Not much I don't like. The one thing that could be enhanced would be the documentation. A user's guide would be helpful.

Reasons for choosing TD/OMS

Price and support. Customer executive did a great job of working with me getting me to the point of winning approval. We now own the software.

Less work and no surprises when maintaining and distributing our applications

Pros

high level of stability and overall ease of use, the ability to do most activities from within IBM's RDi

Cons

minor point is that application configuration and maintenance cannot be done from the provided Eclipse application but needs to be done from the green screens
