Pros: It's easy to learn the basics. The calendar is good, it's helpful that they show tasks there. Searching is great. It's totally adequate if all you do is bill for time and integrate with Quickbooks.

Cons: Panther has no report on Items (e.g. how much of your revenue is from Document Drafting vs Litigation). To get such a report, you MUST integrate with Quickbooks. But the biggest problem is that Fixed Price billing (what they call "Flat Fee") is worthless.

Fixed Price billing was clearly an afterthought, and their implementation has not changed at all since the early days when I started using it: 1) It does not let you assign an Item as you can with time entries, so you can't easily tell Quickbooks that a Fixed Price invoice was for a trademark application, not doc review; 2) You can't assign a lawyer to a Fixed Price billing, so you cannot get a report to help you pay everyone proportionally to their Fixed Price billings; 3) Fixed Price matters become immediately billable even if no work has been done, so you must manually keep track of when it's time to invoice for a Fixed Price matter, and there's no report on billable Fixed Price matters; 4) When entering time on a Fixed Price matter, there's way no way to check whether you are about to exceed the budget, and no way anywhere to compare budgeted vs actual.

If you're a modern firm moving to fixed price as much as possible, you'll spend a LOT of time looking for work-arounds, and you'll find that implementing your work-arounds will chew up any time saving you might have gotten from using the rest of the software.

I can't wait to change to software that does Fixed Price right.

Overall: It was a good start to law firm management, now I need something that works like a law firm needs to work, not force my law firm to work like the software wants me to.

Pros: Unlike a number of the cheaper practice management software programs on the market today, Practice Panther has a wide range of functions within the software which are easy to use. Instead of just having "Tasks" or "to-dos", PP allows you to create Activities which can be "Events" "E-mails" "Phone calls" or "Tasks". On the Task front, PP allows you to set sub-reminders that can send you e-mails or text messages in advance, like say "7 days before," and "3 days before," for a filing deadline. I also think it is pretty fantastic that PP shows whether a time entry has been completed for EVERY SINGLE ACTIVITY marked "completed" or "in progress". This would be incredibly useful for practitioners (mostly civil) managing staff and trying to deal with staff not accounting for all of their time in billing. The "mail sync" function is also easy to use, and allows you to e-mail out of your native software (MS Outlook, GMAIL, etc) and simply "bcc" the client matter itself. When you do this, the e-mail is automatically saved into the matter. Almost every other program out there that I have used requires you to use their client messaging portal to get the same functionality.

The templates are easy to use for creating documents to merge out of PP also. Think client engagement letters, releases, and basic letterheads that you use in every file. We don't use PP for accepting payments so I cannot comment on that portion.

Cons: 1. Matter pre-bills or invoicing. In many civil cases there will be a time when you need to prepare a billing report to present to the court solely for a claim of attorney's fees. In other software that I have used, you can run a report for a set period of time or type of billing entries which will then create a printable draft invoice-looking document. You would then be able to slap an exhibit sticker on that document and use it for your attorney's fee request. I haven't found a way to easily do this in PP yet, and it seems like you would have to utilize a draft invoice which captures all time billed in the matter. I could be wrong.

2. No Batch Entry System for E-mails. PP has a GREAT syncing system that works with your native e-mail so you can BCC messages into the matter when you send or receive them. However, if you forget to include the mail-sync in your BCC line, or don't forward a message to the mail-sync, there is no easy way to subsequently get the e-mails into the matter in PP. What I mean is this: say you have a number of e-mails from someone that weren't saved into a client PP matter and instead lived in your Outlook before the client actually hired. You would have to manually forward each one of your emails to the mail-sync to get them into PP.

Additionally, if you are a federal criminal lawyer and use CORRLINKS to communicate with your clients you will know that you can't forward out of that system. PP doesn't let you copy/paste emails so your stuck.

Overall: Easy of keeping track of deadlines and client contacts. Overall, the best practice management software I have seen for the price. I would say this performs better than CLIO (I've used it with ALL of the add-ons), way better than AMICUS and MyCase and similar to ABACUS. They need to add a matter pre-billing function to run attorney's fees reports and allow you to copy/paste e-mails into the matter, but otherwise this is a perfect solution for most practitioners. Unless you are using the rules-based calendaring in ABACUS or Westlaw's Firm Central, I have not seen a product that is nearly as useful on the market.

Pros: The user experience from the moment a client logs onto our website, uses the embedded intake form, to create a client profile to PP is seamless. This is just one of the time-saving tools we have discovered. This automated way of working and being able to integrate systems has forced M Legal to rethink how we work and more importantly, how to we can simplify our working processes.
While many of us worked with CRMs in the past, most of them were clunky and stand-alone systems that could not work with other applications or software. PP has made managing clients much easier, where our lawyers are in control from the moment a case is initiated, all the way through to billing clients.
We have experienced our fair share of poor technical support teams when using other software programs. With PP, despite the time differences between Miami and Sydney, their technical support team are always available, whether it is through the chat portal, email or by phone. Each technical person is professional, knowledgeable and continues to take care of your matter until it is resolved. Further, they always have something new to teach you about the PP system on each call. I cannot express how impressed we are, with what we consider as stellar service from this tech support team.

Cons: Naturally, a product such as this is not going to have universal application across all legal fields. I would say that in the immigration space the status of a case is really important, so having a status bar that is customisable would be a feature that could be improved. Also, a lot of our data from clients are taken from in-take forms - we require intake forms that are easier to build and that have the capability of storing more information. While these are work in progress type issues, this certainly does not take away from PP's product, which we believe is a well designed and thought through CRM system.

Overall: Part of M Legal's mission is to stay innovative. Practice Panther (PP) as a case relationship management (CRM) tool has redesigned how the firm works overall. The user experience from the moment a client logs onto our website, uses the embedded intake form, to create a client profile to PP is seamless. This is just one of the time-saving tools we have discovered.

This automated way of working and being able to integrate systems has forced M Legal to rethink how we work and more importantly, how to we can simplify our working processes. This has been a real game-changer for the business.

Pros: I love the IT help, the invoicing system and the templates feature. I had a lot of questions and needed a lot of help in the beginning. Being able to schedule times to discuss my issues with the IT guys at PracticePanther was great. The fact that they can take over your computer remotely so they can see what you see in real time is even better. Their response time to non-scheduled issues is pretty fast. I have also found their FAQs and how to videos to be extremely helpful but having a live person to speak with who can access your computer is just as good as having someone standing next to me while I work.

The invoicing system is phenomenal. It keeps track of all of my client banking accounts. I can see at any time how much is in my IOLTA account, how much is in my operating account, how much a client owes, how much a client has paid and how much I have billed a client but not yet invoiced. I can do this client by client, matter by matter or as an overall total. LawPay is free if you sign up through PracticePanther which is awesome because it handles my credit card transactions and when a client pays, it automatically updates my invoicing and accounts. PracticePanther also knows how to deduct things from a client's retainer when sending out an invoice so you don't have to worry about that either. Their timing device feeds right into the system. It is awesome.

Overall: Before PracticePanther my client information was all over my computer. I kept track of billable hours and financials in Exel, client emails in Google, and my forms (intake, representation, agreements, court filings etc) in Word. This meant in order to have everything as it pertained to a specific client in one place, I had to print everything out. And, I was using nonlegal software to send out billing invoices which lead to long hours of transcribing information from Excel to the service I was using. The rate of error of retyping information like addresses or agreements or billable hours into different software programs was high. I am a solo practitioner who does not have a clerk, secretary or paralegal. So after a long day of work, I then had to become the marketing, IT and accounting departments. I spent a lot of time doing things two and three times. I knew I needed a case management system but was afraid it would be too expensive or time consuming to learn.

After doing my due diligence I found PracticePanther. Not only was PP one of the most affordable options out there, they had very intuitive methods of doing things so the learning curve did not take much time. Now anything and everything pertaining to a specific client is kept in one place. All billables, emails, evidence, representation agreements¿I even enter details of phone calls and meetings I have on matters in the Notes section for each matter so I have a documented history of what was discussed on what day. PracticePanther has cut the amount of time I spend on my office management duties by about 65%. I use that time to grow my practice, network or do pro bono work.

Recommendations to other buyers: To other firms and solos I would say: Stop spinning your wheels. You are doing way more work and making way more errors than you need to. Getting PracticePanther has cut down the amount of time I spend on everything tremendously and helps me stay organized very easily. It has an amazing app that is just as affective as if you were working at a PC. For the price of less than an hour of work a month you can buy peace of mind and some of your life back!

Pros: There are many things I like about the software. The main ones are:
- The search function. This makes searching for contacts or matters very easy. This is available on many of the screens as well as the dashboard.
- The price is very reasonable for a sole practitioner, and cheaper than the other software I have investigated
- Easy to create templates
- The screens are easy to understand and its a joy to use the software
- its relatively easy to import contacts (which i did from my gmail)
- billing is really good
- the client portal is amazing (you can even see when your client's read their invoices)
- it is improving all the time - there are regular weekly and monthly updates
- I find the relationships tab really useful to keep all my contacts related to the matter together for each of use
- there are many other pros about this software - try it and see for yourself

Cons: - the software is not perfect - it would be good if viewing emails from external email (e.g. gmail) could be improved so that they are more readable
- secure messages could be improved to allow attaching multiple files without the need to zip
- greater connection with Box so that Box's sharing could be linked to a contact without the need to manually enter the contacts email address when you are inside the contact's matter

Overall: I'm a sole practitioner and I was looking for legal practice management software that was easy to use and reasonably comprehensive. Previously I had recommended ActionStep to my previous colleagues in a 4-5 lawyer lawfirm. This was also a good product, but PracticePanther in my view is better in many ways. For cloud storage I use Box, and this connects easily with PracticePanther so that I can see all the documents that relate to a matter. PracticePanther uses a simple tab structure for each matter so that you can easily and quickly look at notes, activities, time records, payments, invoices etc. I'm really quite impressed with the software and would recommend it to anyone. It is very easy to see what you have been paid in a given period, what you are owed, and what you have to bill. I'm only one user, but you can have many users and each can see this from the dashboard screen. I'm a bit of a techie person and I've spent many hours investigating the different legal practice management software systems. PracticePanther comes a clear first, for my needs.

Pros: Beautiful layout, easy to use, functions as a basic CRM, matter and time management, and billing program all in one.

Cons: Flat fee billing is not well thought out, and the billing module presents clients with a reckoning of my operating account as well as their trust account. (I understand Panther may have made the operating account info optional by now, or that is in their near term plan.)

Overall: This is an update to a previous review I made.

The folks at Panther are impressive. They've taken recommendations I and others have made and implemented them; they've quickly addressed issues I've had; and they are always courteous and responsive. The overall layout has vastly improved since my first review, and looks downright beautiful. We live by the search feature and it now works on custom fields. Custom fields can now also be listed in reports. You can now group custom fields so that you may show only those fields in a matter or contact that pertain to their specific situation. We have structured Panther so we can use it as a basic CRM...which is an immense work-flow savings for us. We asked for Dropbox integration and what they produced is perfect (considering the limitations of Dropbox). Time keeping is a snap and reachable from any screen. We asked to be able to a log call without assigning it to a matter, and they changed that so now we can. The tasking feature and its integration with the calendar is fantastic, I could not service so many clients without it. And the Panther folks have taken it on themselves to make some minor changes that have made the workflow of using the program much faster than in my previous review.

I now can answer the question I posed in my earlier review of whether I love or hate Panther: We love it. I admit that it's not perfect (a couple of basic features in billing need to be addressed before I am willing to use that portion of the program), but Panther saves us many hours a week. I tried many firm management products before settling on Practice Panther, and I am glad I stayed with them. It's already better than the others, and it keeps getting better all the time thanks to their team. You cannot go wrong choosing Practice Panther.

Final note: To my surprise one lawyer told me Panther seemed expensive. Really?! It seems well priced to me, and if you try to save a few dollars a month with some inferior product you will pay dearly for that choice in lost time.

Recommendations to other buyers: The learning curve for Practice Panther is very quick. You can be productive with the software in a matter of hours. But the main thing to settle on right up front is this: Will your clients be companies or persons? Figure that out first, then stick to your decision to make your future life be easier.

Pros: Before PracticePanther we had started an Excel spreadsheet to log our contacts for conflicts checks. We created a joint email account with Gmail so our email would be centralized and that also gave us a central calendar that we all had access to in order to set appointments, record deadlines, etc. We also created a Dropbox account for file storage.

While everything was low cost or free, all the parts felt scattered. PracticePanther pulls it all together in one beautiful, user-friendly interface. Now, instead of having to pull up 5 or 6 different apps/websites, we are able to pull up just one site and have everything right there. All of the components of PracticePanther are really easy to use. The entire program is designed for efficiency and ease of use. Color-coding allows you to see and understand your financial details in mere seconds. Tasks, events, and timekeeping are easy.

Cons: I would like to see the software integrate with more programs. Quickbooks is great, but my brain works better with Wave Accounting; LawPay is great, but being able to integrate with PayPal also, would be even better. However, these are minor things and not worth seeking a different program I like as much as Practice Panther. I had shopped around quite a bit before choosing Practice Panther; I doubt I would find anything I like as much.

Hands down, our favorite thing about PracticePanther is the superior support staff. If you have a problem and leave a message after hours in the chat box, you get a response generally within the hour. There is also training videos and a help center that will help you find the help that you need.

Overall: The user-interface is designed for quick and easy navigation. You can look at your dashboard and very clearly see everything you need to know for your day to run smoothly (well as smoothly as possible). It is cost effective and the onboarding and training are taken care of with Practice Panther's incredible customer service.

Pros: One of the best features of the software is not so much a feature but the logic employed in designing the flow of data. I have used a number of the more popular programs and can heartily recommend this as the best I have found. The ease of use makes it a top choice if you have staff that will use it. I am a single solo and it is not one of my concerns yet. But, I can't see anyone not understanding the flow of information. The automation is superb. Document assembly is easy and logical. One of the best features is the Forms generator. Email the form to your client or prospective client - they fill it out - and it goes right into your data. No need to waste time inputting names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and any other data you would like to have handy in your file.

Tracking time is a breeze as is generating invoices, tracking retainer accounts, tracking trust accounts and more (I find the accounting component more than meets my needs).

Over time you will come to rely on the information in the program over the physical file. It has become my organizational hub for all that I do.

Cons: I would like to see a thick book explaining all the capabilities and limits. The support people are great and can answer any question - I just like to read it and push the software to its limits. I have used PP for some time - moving to another package for some time. At twice the price - it did less. In my brief time away the product dramatically improved & I am back and very happy.

Overall: This is a complete solution for my practice. I am a single solo so the document automation, notes, time entries and billing are a great way to save time and effort.

Pros: Great tools, great automation, great customer support

Cons: There are continuing areas that we could further automate to make the product even more amazing.

Overall: I recently switched to PracticePanther after 20 years using different version of Amicus Attorney. While Amicus helped me to keep my practice moving for years, the lack of continuing support for the product and meaningful changes caused me to start looking at alternatives. After researching the current crop of practice management programs and downloading several demo's, I ended subscribing to the PracticePanther team. The first reason I chose PP was the fact that I was able to create "workflows" that automate a ton of the tasks required for several practices areas. For example, a new misdemeanor criminal case can have the misdemeanor workflow that I created applied and all of the steps for the cases are automatically generated. The scheduling of the first client meeting, initial hearing, filing of our appearance, requesting discovery, sending discovery, attending the pretrial conference, plea meeting with client and change of plea hearing all become tasks or calendar events with just the touch of a button. My assistant then just needs to coordinate the dates for all of the auto-generated tasks or events in order to have the file completely organized. The workflow also assigns the responsibility for completion of tasks automatically to me or my staff so we all are reminded of what needs to take place next. The second selling feature for me was the automated email and text-message reminders that can be generated to the client (and to staff if desired). I like that I receive a text reminder from my dentist's office and wanted something similar. For all events that I create within the workflow, I can assign the reminder details. This has significantly lowered the number of no-shows that I have for office meetings and court hearings and reduces the staff time that was spent before calling to remind clients of court dates and meetings. The third key feature that I really wanted was the secure client portal feature. The portal allows me to hand incoming clients an Ipad to have them fill out their intake information that we would need to create a new client file. Once the client has completed the information on the Ipad, it automatically creates a new contact within the PP system and we can then easily generate a new matter if we are hired. For clients that we choose to work with, they are also sent an email invitation to open their secure portal, thus allowing them access to their online file within the PP system. Clients love it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Just that it's a great piece of software with the potential to be practice-changing!

We have been very happy with the process and responsiveness of PP. Happy we took the plunge.

Pros: We are just getting started with the software and have been implementing only for a few weeks. I will update my experience again in about one month.
Although we were efficient, we were not hyper-efficient before Practice Panther. Also, although we are a very systematic firm with set processes, our significant growth made it impossible for us to sustain the systems without a practice management software. From what I have seen, Practice Panther allows us to become hyper efficient because of the following:
1. We are now able to input data one time rather than several times allowing our staff to work on more things and learn more substantive tasks.
2. Inputting information then populates forms and sets up matters.
3. We are able to task and monitor the tasks without relying on memory, sticky notes, pads of paper and task lists.
4. All of the information is now in one place without the need of navigating through various portions of our database.
5. Our clients are happy with the immediate availability and access to their documents without having to request it via email and the ability to communicate through the portal.
6. I believe that the system will allow us to increase capacity and scale our practice.Our model is simple. We try to make the experience for our clients seamless and effortless through the use of portals and constant access to the resources of our firm. The technology will allow us to compete against larger firms.

Overall: We are becoming more efficient and better able to service our clients at a higher level. It ultimately will allow me to market our firm even better. My team is getting very excited about it.
Everything has been positive thus far. There is a lot to learn on the software. As we have a lot of people working with the software at once, it results in people achieving knowledge quickly. However, that is to be expected with any practice management software. The good thing is that PP personnel are always there to help.

Pros: Other than it being a "one stop shop" and the ease of accessibility, I have been impressed with Practice Panther's ability to respond to my specific needs. A significant amount of my work is for unions and clients with multiple matters. Initially, Practice Panther was unable handle invoicing and billing for an individual contact with multiple matters. However, I approached them with my needs and they created a "fix" to their system within a week. They also followed up to ensure that I was satisfied. I was certainly impressed by Practice Panther's speed and attentiveness.

Cons: I am still trying to learn all of the ins and outs. I need a bit more tutelage on the nuances. At times, customer service may not answer all of the questions, however, they have been very responsive to my needs once I call or make them known.

Overall: Being a new firm and a newly solo practitioner, I wanted the most efficient way to do it all enter my time and expenses, invoice, communicate with clients, use intake templates, etc. More, I practice throughout Northern California and log a lot of travel time meeting with clients, attending arbitrations or court appearances, or at speaking engagements. With that, I needed easy access on my laptop or phone to a law practice management system.
Previously, I did not have the ability to easily and quickly access a law practice management system. I also had numerous systems for entering time, tracking potential clients, invoicing, and the like. I love that I can use Practice Panther as a "one stop shop", even to pay bills, and that I can use it anywhere and on any device. Pros: The customer service reps are always available (through the website/app!) and are extremely flexible as far as meeting individual requests. The software overall is very intuitive and once the basic information is inputted, training other attorneys and staff is easy. The PracticePanther reps even offered to help with training and do individualized training as necessary! The iphone app is simple yet you can do everything on it you need to - right from court. I never have to worry about missing court dates or even reminders to review certain files or specific documents because in less than a minute I can have a task set, reminders set, and it will popup as I set it. The calendar syncs with Google Calendar and they imported all of our client contacts from Quickbooks Online, saving us many hours of data entry. We are getting into the more advanced functions like templates, workflows, and other automation and that's really where the software shines. You create the custom fields, you choose what information is important for every matter, and you can add-on as you are creating matters. The flexibility and ease of access to everything - including client files from DropBox, which can mirror any network - is unrivaled. Really happy we went with PracticePanther. The amount of time saved having customer care/customer service always available is invaluable. Highly recommended for law firms of all sizes.

Cons: Still working on getting the office transitioned from a paper filing and calendaring system to online. So the one suggestion I would have is to maybe have an app for the calendar that is independent from the phone app - similar to google calendar. Also, there should be a way to turn the default settings to "Do not email assignees" when a workflow is applied. But that's a tiny suggestion. Overall no major complaints.

Comments: While one of the newer players in the field of practice management, Practice Panther excels in relationship building and care for its users. Having tried nearly every product available, I found that Practice Panther was a cut above the others by way of their desire to be the best. During the trial period, I send a large list of things that I would like to see implemented or improved in the product. Their response, that they have begun making a number of improvements and tabled some of the others for future releases, was impressive. Not only that, shortly thereafter they had some of the changes implemented in the product and live for all the users. Practice Panther is a great product that you can grow your practice with. The employees of the company are interested in making a superior product that exceeds the expectations of all its users.

Pros: The dashboard allows me to see, at a glance, my productivity and earnings for the month. I can add important calendar dates and reminders to the page quickly and get a high-level view of everything that I am working on at the time. Practice Panther also integrates with Google calendar, mail, and apps which is great. It allows me to assign emails to certain folders in gmail and then see the communication string within the program. I can put a calendar entry on my phone while away and it will sync into the app. It is a great tool to help track and grow my practice.

Cons: As I mentioned above, Practice Panther is newer than the others. There are some features that are coming down the pipeline, but not implemented yet. For instance, the trust accounting process is a little buggy. Some features take some getting used to, but all of this is countered by the fact that they are friendly, nice, and excited to make the program the best it can be. Overall, well done Practice Panther!

Comments: After spending months researching, and receiving demonstrations on, dozens of case management software options (using Capterra as a starting point), I finally decided on PracticePanther. We are now in the process of fully integrating all aspects of our practice into this software and we are continuing to find new features that will make our office more efficient. This and the customer support continually prove to me that I made the right choice.

PracticePanther is easy to use and incredibly customizable. In that it is web-based, it is accessible from any computer or device with an internet connection. We use it to store all pertinent case information and contacts, and to calendar appearances, tasks, court and internal deadlines and reminders. We use the feature which allows you to create workflows so that we don't have to reinvent the wheel every time we want to establish/calendar the same set of tasks on a new matter. PracticePanther makes it easy to track time spent and expenses on all of our cases. Also, it allows all users to view and track the activity of other all other users, which minimizes the need to constantly follow up with other members of the firm regarding status of task completion.

PracticePanther integrates with Box.com. So if you house your case files within Box.com you can access them directly through PracticePanther. Because of this, we are now integrating all of our files with Box.com so that we can use this feature. The prospect of having all case information, calendaring, AND the case file accessible from any device anywhere, is very exciting.

There is a great feature that allows you to create fully customized intake questionnaires that can be sent to potential clients via a link. Once the potential client fills out the information it is automatically uploaded to PracticePanther.

There are great demonstration videos and articles on their website which really help you to familiarize yourself with the product, although it's very easy to figure out on your own as it is extremely intuitive.

However, the greatest part of PracticePanther is its customer support. It is always easy to get a hold of someone to answer your questions. Best of all is that they listen to your feedback and use it to improve upon their product with regular updates. I have seen many of my suggestions come to life in a short amount of time. They truly want to hear what you have to say in order to make their product better!

Fantastic law firm management software. So glad I found PracticePanther!

Pros: Prior to PracticePanther, I used three pieces of locally-downloaded software one for billing, one for client management, and another for form creation. PracticePanther has provided the firm with a cloud-based solution that has replaced all three pieces of software. Additionally, because it is cloud-based, the firm can utilize the software on a number of platforms and in any location in fact, I am using it right now on my iPad at a coffee shop, after entering billable time on my Android phone earlier in the day.

In addition, PracticePanther's client portal has been a game changer. While I have not yet fully utilized the email replacement offered by the portal (baby steps), it has helped immensely with billing and in giving clients a great image of the firm. I have received a number of compliments on the portal it makes sending bills easy, paying bills easy, and working with clients a breeze.

Cons: I do wish PracticePanther had a more robust document preparation and CRM platform (like Lexicata). I am sure PP is working on integrating other providers into its software, and the pros FAR outweigh the cons.

Overall: Too many to list. From accounting, billing, calendar integration, etc. The program has been fantastic for my law firm.

Pros: When an attorney can access the most recent case status at any time or place, he or she can direct their assistants to reschedule, contact a client, or draft a document for review, directly from within the software. "Time" is more than money, it can be the difference in a favorable decision for your client, and effective service can lead to your next client referral.
Everything you need to know, from billable hours, account balances, recent notes, phone calls, or critical events are available from the app on your phone or your home or office computer. Practicepanther provides you the "time" to provide your clients with the best legal service you can give. Practicepanther even provides a billable timer than integrates directly into the matter you are working on.
As a previous user of Needles, and Time Matters, Practicepanther has faster integration, and does so much more. It's design makes it simple to use for even those who have never used legal office-management software. Perfect for solo offices or large firms.

Overall: If I've ever had an issue such as integrating a calendar, it didn't last long. Tech support is as easy as a chat or phone call. Everyone I've worked with at Practice Panther has been quick to respond with an immediate answer.

Pros: Fast, easy to use, intuitive program, excellent, responsive customer service. After struggling with software that was too oriented to litigation law firms and didn't work for my IP practice and use of flat fees, software that didn't give me the reports I needed to run my business, and software that took me 2 hours to create invoices that displayed what I needed them to display, I found Practice Panther. It tells me what I want to know when I want to know it, and invoices are so quick and easy to create and customize on the fly. Perfect syncing with Quickbooks also keeps data entry at a minimum. Answer to my prayers!

Cons: There are still one or two reports I haven't figured out how to create; and I am still unsure how to work with PP and Quickbooks when it comes to billable expenses paid by credit card. I suspect these "cons" have more to do with me learning some of the more advanced, newer features, particularly dealing with cost accounting, and less to do with limitations of the software.

Overall: Many saved hours and freedom from frustration! Peace of mind seeing my trust balance and $ due/ $ paid on the dashboard.

Overall: Before we had Practice Panther we had Rocket Matter as our software management system and they increased our fees significantly after the 1st year of our subscription. Practice Panther has fixed rates. Before we were doing a lot of things manually and spending a significant amount of time finding information about clients, and copying and pasting descriptions of time for billing. Now we have easy access to client information and don't have most of those issues. Also, the templates and inputs are awesome for routine legal forms! The custom fields and custom groups are increasing effectiveness and efficiency and quality of the our practice because of less mistakes and less of the problem of finding old client's names in forms that you might miss. Once created, the templates also makes it easier to find the permanent form for the specific area for your practice. Practice Panther added the ability to bill your time right from the calendar soon after we subscribed which is a huge time advantage. Also, Practice Panther is mobile with a great iphone app and ipad app you can take in the court room or on the road. My receptionist and legal secretary can make appointments which immediately show up on my remote apps and vice versa, and the calendar and billing time also works great on those apps. I researched many legal software management programs before deciding on Practice Panther and I have not been disappointed. It is an excellent software management system for the small to medium size law firm.

Recommendations to other buyers: The Practice Panther team has been very responsive to any issues or questions we have had about using the software at no additional cost!

Pros: I like just about everything about this software and have put most of my likes in my review.

Cons: It is hard to find a least like in this software, and if there ever is it get addressed and fixed. For example I had difficulty setting up my invoices but after contact with their support and granting them temporary access it was fixed in minutes

Overall: I have been using PracticePanther for my small law firm for a little over a year now. It has proven to be extremely valuable and has made my practice more productive. I have been able automate a variety of functions that I use every day to be more productive and expand my business. The software is extremely easy to customize and set up for my practice. Billing, intake forms, templates, workflows, calendar management and client relationship management, cloud storage, client portals with secure messaging are all integrated into the software. No hidden costs. Everything is included and no upcharges. Support is very responsive with several ways to contact them right within the program. They are also very responsive to suggestions and they have quickly integrated requested features. While I am not sure how many people work at PracticePanther, I imagine there a lot. However, I feel like I get the support of a local business and that my business matters.

Support - Short training videos and support chat are right at your fingertips and easy to use so you get the most out of the software. Support staff are personable and very responsive - no waiting for days to get answers
Integration - Easily syncs with commonly used products like Quickbooks, Gmail, Outlook, and other legal software
Price - The price is competitive and gets you more bang for your buck compared to other software out there. They also partner with other companies which allows them to add little freebies, like covering the cost of your LawPay account if you use it. I expect they will keep giving cool incentives like that.

This software and company have changed how I run my law firm. I'm a believer and I hope they continue to do great things.

Cons: Still developing - PP is still developing so you do run into hiccups sometimes, but it is still the easiest firm management software to use and I have not had an issue yet that was not resolved by a quick chat session with support staff. They are continuing to add features and developing the product all the time, so I am excited to see what they do - really looking forward to seeing what they do with voice command integration

Overall: Easily the most user-friendly law firm management software on the market with an awesome company and support staff behind it. Keeps me organized and streamlines everything from contacts and calendars to billing and invoicing. Changed the way my law firm runs.

Pros: When I oversaw operations at my previous firm, I always lamented my inability to leverage existing technology in a thoughtful and efficient way. Changing the dogma at an existing firm seems to be a significant barrier to many firms implementing technology solutions and, more importantly, sticking with them.When I decided to begin anew, I spent weeks trying all of the software out there. I tested the patience of the support teams as I pushed the limits of the various software platforms to make sure they would work in a way that integrated with how I work and think.

Once I found Practice Panther, I knew I was where I wanted to be. The program is intuitive, forward-thinking, and addresses the things that I care the most about. Support is rapid and efficient. I'm thrilled to have found Practice Panther as a partner.

Overall: I'm not sure there is anything I like "least" about the software. As with any software, I would like it to do exactly what I want to do tailored for my particular type of practice. That is obviously impossible absent having custom written software. However, after trying numerous platforms, Practice Panther is the closest thing I've been able to find two custom software.

Pros: I cannot say enough good things. There are so many Pros! Seamless integration with Box, Quickbooks, LawPay, and Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Transferring/Uploading client & matter information was easy and amazingly fast. We were up an running after only a few hours from creating our account. Our clients appreciate the Client Portal including being able to securely upload documents, send secure messages (rather than using email), receive invoices, and pay online.

We left another law firm management program, Rocket Matter, after only 2 weeks due to poor integration and non-stop headaches. I was worried Practice Panther would end up being much of the same, but I could not be happier we decided to jump to Practice Panther. Their tech support team strives to find solutions rather than simply telling us "no." Every time I wonder whether Practice Panther has the ability to do something, their team finds a way to make it happen. We are extremely happy with platform.

Cons: A few of the features were not immediately intuitive, but as we use it more and learn about all its features the happier we are with our choice.

Overall: Seamless integration with Office 365, Box (and Dropbox), Quickbooks, LawPay, and more. We are capturing more of our billable time and the client portal has decreased the time between invoice and payment resulting in higher collection rates. They also have a wonderful support team that really cares about making your user experience the best it can be.

Pros: Love that it's cloud based and has almost no learning curve. If you have basic internet navigation skills, you can master Practice Panther in no time.

Cons: Would prefer for "contacts" and "clients" to be two separate things, and would prefer to have contacts entered in custom fields on the matter page automatically added to that matter's relationships. Would love to see added functionality of being able to generate mailing lists/proofs of service from the relationships tab.

Overall: Has allowed our two offices to start working together seamlessly, with fewer emails back and forth and duplicated work. Can more easily manage the workflow of support staff regardless of which office they work in. Attorneys can now access all their work from court or wherever they happen to be.

PracticePanther's portal is so easy to use and intuitive, no one in our firm had any trouble getting our clients to use it to view the status of their case, billing, important announcements, and to keep track of all the work their lawyer was doing for them. I can tell you that our clients were incredibly grateful to have all the information available to them. PracticePanther made it so easy for them to see how hard we were working for them. PracticePanther made it so simple and faster to communicate with our clients and I know their software is saving us so much time in the short and long run. The guys over at PracticePanther's customer support are also incredibly helpful. The software is not hard at all to pick up, but when there were a few bumps in the road I simply picked up the phone and called their customer support. They took their time helping me through the issues I had, they answered all my questions patiently and took my feedback to heart. They really make it a priority to listen to feedback and use it to make their software even better. Pros: The software is easy to figure out. The customer service is quick to respond. The software is readily available across any platform or mobile device. The software syncs with QuickBooks, GoogleDrive, Microsoft 385, Dropbox. I love being able to work from anywhere. This type of case management software is changing the way attorneys do business.

Cons: The lack of relational connections between opposing counsel, court systems, and clients so I can view all cases under which judge or opposing counsel. The pre-set fields need to be expanded as the ability to customize can make the situation more custom to your can increase the input to set up clients.

Pros: Simple to use - small learning curve. The customer service is fabulous! I love that I can access the program from anywhere (especially on my iPad) and that the view is fairly consistent so I don't have to learn another view.

Cons: It is a bit inflexible to adapt to an estates and trusts practice. For instance, for estate planning for a married couple we have to place the Matter under only one of their names - we would prefer to be able to show the Matter under both, instead we do a work-around through Relationships and a custom Spouse cell.

Overall: It has helped us organize and stay on top of our client projects so we can draft documents in a more timely manner. It has also improved our communication within our firm on projects and tasks. We like the customization options. They are constantly updating it to become more useful.

Pros: The application interface is very user-friendly, we can easily create task lists and track down all the actions done on a particular case. The application also provides contacts management and we can add notes to each file. The workflows have helped our team to stay on track with the upcoming steps. In addition to CRM, the application assists in time management and the sub reminder feature enable us to schedule emails in advance. The customer service is very responsive, you can contact them via live chat or emails. The invoicing feature helps to track all your accounts with clients, including the operating account details and the credit card transactions. It is very simple to create templates and you get to see all the contact¿s details on the dashboard eliminating the need to navigate through several portals to get them. The application has superb reporting features where we get in-depth details about income and expenses.

Cons: The application requires more automation. The absence of integration with PayPal. Documentation features are absent. We can¿t view emails from an external source.

Comments: The software is very intuitive and easy to use. PracticePanther has clearly thought of the details to make day-to-day practice so much easier. I highly recommend this software!

Pros: Document automation is AMAZING. Once you have your templates uploaded and custom fields set, it can cut down your drafting time by a lot. As a new solo practitioner without a paralegal, this is invaluable. The customer service is fantastic. The software has a chat feature where you can type a question if you cannot find the answer in their extensive help center. I always receive a response the same day, and usually within a couple hours at most. The help center is quite extensive, and has both videos and text articles. I love the invoice reminders feature. It is automated, so I don't have to remember to send an email to a client if they have not paid!

Cons: Some of the "syncing" features are not actually syncs. For example, the sync with Outlook's calendar requires that you invite your PracticePanther calendar. It does not communicate directly with Outlook. Same with LawPay. If you enter a payment through PracticePanther, it will sync with the software; if you send the LawPay link directly to the client, it does not record that as a payment in PracticePanther.

Pros: Practice Panther is hands-down the most intuitive of the case management software out there. All of the features and functions feel like they are where they should be, and I was up and running with very little need for the support staff to hold my hand. It's replete with added features that make practicing easier.

Cons: There has been one instance in which the PP software double-charged my client's card. I had to do a charge back and took the loss on the fee. I heard from a couple others that the same thing had happened. However, they fixed that software problem and I have never had this issue happen again. Additionally, I do not like the numbering system, in which both contacts and matters are grouped together for the purposes of assigning a number. There should be a dual system of numbering these.

Overall: I feel organized with Practice Panther and capable of handling an ever-growing case load.

Pros: I just opened my own firm and had no idea how to manage my time, client list, conflicts, or billing. I was a prosecutor before and never had experience with billing. It kept me up at night worrying about how to handle this part of my practice, and so far, it has been the easiest part! I love the timer function, the bill generator, the LawPay access and benefits, and the dashboard. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the emailed bill option - and that it tells you when the client opens that bill! - and the ability to sync calendars and bank accounts. I'm very happy with this service and the attorney I office-share with can't believe this software is available for the same price she pays for her billing program, which offers much less and isn't as user-friendly or intuitive.

Cons: Frankly, I'm not utilizing everything because there is SO MUCH available, and that isn't on PracticePanther. Between running the business and working on cases, I haven't had enough time to really work with customer service on accessing every function with this program, but they are always available when I do have questions or want to learn a function! So I guess I'm saying - I like it all!

Support staff is extrememly helpful and patient.

Comments: I really appreciate the patience of the support staff. I'm of a different generation and according to my sons I am severely technologically challenged. Even though I use a computer all day every day, I fear he is right. You guys put me at ease when I asked questions and I truly appreciate that.

Pros: Practice Panther has functions which, once I learn to use them, will hopefully make my job a lot easier and much less time consuming. As far as entering time and expenses, it's a breeze. Creating matters and contact is great too. I'm a Paralegal but also the Business Manager so the financial end is taking a bit more effort to learn. The support staff I've dealt with has been very knowledgeable and helpful all round. The fact that two out of the three had great people skills put me at ease and made me more comfortable with being open to trying new things.

Cons: It may be too soon to answer this question. Some functions I was told would be available are not. In Practice Panther's defense, that information did NOT come from you. It may have just been an idea of someone in our meeting; not sure. Once a couple of issues are corrected i.e. PP creates a "workable check template" so I don't have to waste money on new checks, our "Role" issue is corrected, and the learning curve is mostly over I will have none of the concerns I have at this time, probably only new ones. I have faith in all you youngsters when it comes to making things work. So get busy!! :-)

Pros: The ease of creating client and matter files and the billing. Everything is very intuitive and user friendly. If you have any tiny difficulty with something, the videos are very quick and easy to follow. Plus, the customer service is excellent because you get a human being immediately.

Cons: Really nothing--other than it costs money. But the monthly subscription (or annual subscription) is incredibly reasonable for what you get between the software and the customer service.

Overall: I can run an entire law practice with this software and I don't even have to use Quickbooks!

Cons: WARNING: ALL YOUR FILES CAN BE DELETED THANKS TO A GLITCH APP DOESN'T WARN USERS ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!! Like most users, I linked my Practice Panther Account to Box and my Outlook Inbox. What they failed to tell me is that if you customize your own folders within Box Desktop / Box Sync or within Outlook, Practice Panther will eventually clear all the folders and files as unrecognized because they weren't created as folders on Practice Panther. And the customer support is absolutely awful! They use email customer support by default, which essentially ends up being a tech guy sending you a link to one of their how to do it yourself pages. When something is going wrong I don't want a link. I want someone to remote into my computer and just fix it. HORRIBLE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SOFTWARE. IF THEY AREN'T PROTECTING IMPORTANT CLIENT FILES AND RESPONSE TO IMMEDIATE NEEDS OF THEIR USERS THEN THEN DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MARKET AND WHAT LAWYERS NEED.

Cons: It doesn't connect to as many third-party apps as other options. For example, for storage you are limited to Box and DropBox, but can't use Google Drive.

Overall: I opened my own solo law practice recently. In preparation for that I spent a considerable amount of time testing different practice management products. I went through about 8 different products before settling on Practice Panther. It does everything I wanted and it looks really nice while doing it. It absolutely stacked up against the most well-known players in the game and exceeded them in some respects. For example, adding billed time is so easy in Practice Panther and can be done from anywhere. Some other practice management solutions didn't let you turn any task or activity into a billed entry. I'm still learning how to maximize the software for my practice, but I would highly recommend giving it a try if you are looking. It's a great team with incredible customer service. It is 100% as good as any other practice management software on the market. I was pleasantly surprised.

Recommendations to other buyers: At first I didn't understand the trust accounting, but once I spent a little time with it I figured out how great it is. Utilize their free training to have them walk you through anything you don't understand.

Pros: Cost, ease of use and that it always accessible (online, phone app, table app). Customer service is very helpful and quick to respond to problems. PP is always adding new capabilities and services as well.

Cons: Sometimes can be slow and take awhile to load pages. They do need to add some templates that you could use for certain practice areas so your not inventing the wheel. By that I mean common templates that a personal injury attorney would need in a given matter or form. Practice Panther does allow you to create templates that you can use again, but it would be helpful to have an already created template for certain areas of practice.

Pros: Ease of use combined with a pack of features. Its also possible to start with a minimum setup (like time entries and invoicing) only and then work your way up through all the features. Lots of tutorial videos that are 100% helpful and short/efficient.

Cons: Timezone warning when travelling can't be disabled yet. A minor inconvenience, as it only shows on the startpage/dashboard.

Overall: Easier time tracking + invoicing so far, hope to implement more soon (clients tasks and automisation)

Pros: It is incredibly easy to set up and use. Billing takes half the time of prior or program, and clients love online payment feature just as much as we do! Staff enjoys using it, saying it feels almost like they are on a video game. They all learned how to use it very easily with minimal training time. We love this product and recommend it to all our colleagues, and it is extremely cost effective!

Cons: Can only have one window open at a time right now. Would like to have calendar and time entries open simultaneously.

Overall: Full case management, calendar, timekeeping and billing solution at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Before PracticePanther, I used several applications, programs and legal software to get the job done. When I received a payment, I would enter the information in Quickbooks, and then enter it into my legal software program. I had difficulties accurately tracking my time and organizing my trust account became a nightmare for both me and my bookkeeper. Out of frustration, I mentioned to my bookkeeper that I needed something that meshed all my applications and processes together and allowed me everything in one snap shot. She recommended Practice Panther and voila, everything began to make sense.

PracticePanther is by far the most simplest software that allows attorneys to keep an accurate account of time, money, and allows you to efficiently monitor and supervise your employees. I can see what my legal assistant or paralegal is doing without interrupting their workflow or my workflow.

Cons: I would like to see Practice Panther offer webinars geared towards the daily operations of solo and small firm.

Pros: I like that it is very easy to organize all the information about a client, including their address and their phone numbers. It is also very helpfull to track our activities for any client. I work in a law firm and we use it to track the hours we work in each case, I found the software very friendly in this aspect. The notes are also very helpfull in order to keep informed the rest of the partners about the status of the cases. The software also allows you to keep track of your invoices and the payments made by client.

Cons: At the beginning I had trouble tracking my hours in cases where I forgot to put the timer but once you get how to do it manually it is all resolved.

Pros: Everything is arranged logically in the software, making it very easy to use. In addition, they are constantly making improvements and adding features.

Cons: The trust accounting has greatly improved, but still leaves a bit to be desired. The only other complaint I have is that while we can add multiple time entires (up to ten), there's no way to start a timer on the lines on that screen (although I haven't suggested that yet), and if I log in from my phone or another computer before saving that list, I lose the information on the screen.

Pros: I like how easy it is to schedule a meeting or bill clients. The invoicing system and the templates are useful features. LawPay is free if you sign up through PracticePanther, which is great since it is an integrated way to accept credit card payments from clients securely. The ability to add notes to jot down details from phone calls or client meetings is helpful. It is a great organizational tool that is affordable, though not the cheapest option.

Cons: Good IT support, but the customer support calls get annoying while you are on the trial. (They called me about 6 times over one month since I signed up for the trial, and even though it was a human caller, the conversation was very scripted and they really pressure you to upgrade.)

Overall: Organization and project management. Good at tracking financials and accepting credit card payments from clients. I enjoyed using Practice Panther and they have a clean interface. The sales team is a bit aggressive if you sign up for the trial, but other than that, it is fairly simple to use across all platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet.)

We use it as a cloud-based service and it's very convenient that we can access this software from other tablets, phones, and devices. Pros: Two things - first, I really like that all of my client information is in one easy location; with simple clicks I can navigate from client contact info to client emails to time keeping in mere seconds. Second, I love that in just a few minutes I can create several documents from my templates I have created with Practice Panther's super easy coding system. We would not want to have to manage the firm without it. We tried several similar systems, and prefer this one by far. They are always creating new benefits as well.

Cons: Not much stands out so far as negative, though we have heard from some customers that viewing and paying the invoice is confusing. I don't see how there is any confusion, but we have heard that before.

Pros: The template feature is invaluable.

Cons: Currently, the software allows for email template to alert them of a an invoice and to remind them to pay the invoice. I wish there was an ability to create more email templates.

Overall: The software is simple to use and intuitive. As a small firm attorney, the software has reduced the time I spend on non-legal work so I can concentrate on the important aspects of lawyering.

Pros: Ease of use - I have tried a handful of products over the past year trying to find one that was reasonably priced, easy to use and set-up, had support in case I had issues, and hit all or most of the marks for what I needed in a practice management software. Practice Panther is so easy to learn, I was up and running within MINUTES. I kid you not - MINUTES. Sure I am still learning parts of it, but overall, for the past month plus I have used it every day and have NO complaints. It is so intuitive and easy to use, I kick myself for not trying it sooner.

Cons: A few tweaks would make it perfect - just a few personal preferences, maybe not applicable to everyone. The great part of this "con" is Practice Panther listens and when I ask for a feature, they seriously consider adding it, or changing something to make it even easier to use.

Overall: It's now a whiz to keep track of my calendar everywhere and bill for stuff I used to simply miss.

Pros: The software is very easy to use, which is due to a user-friendly interface. It has features to help you track time, calendar, invoice clients, track payments, manage operating & trust accounts. Cons: I encountered some problems with the time tracker freezing up when using the program. Tech support was very helpful in researching the problem and helping me to fix it. It turned out to be a conflict with apps in my Chrome browser, not the PracticePanther program

Comments: After the birth of my daughter, Annabelle, I decided I wanted to work more flexibly around family life. I also saw a gap in the market to offer practical and affordable legal advice to startups and entrepreneurs, the kind of clients who are keen to work in a new and different way with their lawyer. I launched my law firm, J L Walker Law six months ago and I¿ve found the appetite for virtual law firms and flexible billing practices has been increasing ever since. I had a fairly rudimentary practice management system before joining Practice Panther (Google Business, Word, etc) ¿ a typical sole practitioner kind of approach because you wear so many hats! I realised I needed one simple, user-friendly platform with good security and functionality ¿ Practice Panther fit the bill.

Pros: I honestly love the intuitive design and user-friendly search functions. It just makes matter management, invoicing and billing an absolute breeze, rather than a hassle. The staff are always helpful and efficient in dealing with customer queries too.

Cons: No cons - but I would like to see some integration with other third party cloud-based platforms, ie Xero (invoicing/billing) - I understand this is coming soon!

Pros: Having worked for the Public Defender's Office for almost 28 years, a lot of what I was doing as far as management was what I would call "old school." In other words, I used a lot of legal pads and paper. Very little was automated, and since I was assigned cases, there was no need to track time. In short, it was kind of the same thing as when I first started practicing law in 1983.
Practice Panther has been a lifesaver for me. It has made it so simple to track expenses, customize forms, submit claims for payment, etc. I guess the thing I like most is that it is not "one size fits all" software. Pros: This program is easy to learn and easy to use. When I have contacted Support, the Responsiveness has been excellent. Said again: RESPONSIVE SUPPORT. I think also that the price that is charged is fair and competitive. I would buy it again and I do recommend it.

Cons: Few negatives, if any. I would prefer that I could show unbilled time on the invoice. I often choose to do some kinds of work (short phone calls, corrections) that are not charged so that the Client recognizes that not everything is billed.

Pros: It is quite user-friendly and easy to navigate. How-to questions are easily answered with information available in the help center. If you require more assistance, questions are easily sent and are answered promptly. My research before purchasing PracticePanther showed me that the pricing was clear and and inclusive. Once I used the app, I realized more fully how solid a value it is. Overall, I'm just very pleased with the app and have recommended it to other firms.

Cons: When we joined, there wasn't an option for writing off outstanding balances if we decided to do so. However, they rectified that recently. I now have the option to mark outstanding balances as write-offs, making accounting easier.

Overall: This software made starting our own firm so much easier than it would have been otherwise. It keeps me organized, and as the firm administrator and paralegal, my staying on top of things is paramount.

Pros: PracticePanther's support team is patient, professional, and helpful. I received three consecutive days of training at no charge and was able to implement PracticePanther immediately. PracticePanther is also user-friendly and technologically friendly, allowing integration with programs already in use, like Google Mail.

Pros: Before practice panther, Avila Law operated with spreadsheets and databases that required duplicate and sometimes triplicate data entry, taking up a lot of time and effort, and making it very easy for administrative issues to fall through the cracks. We finally made the jump to PracticePanther and are very happy that we did, as we now only need enter things once into the system, and it is very easy for us to keep track of payments made, amounts owed, communication with clients. We are working on automating our practice, and look forward to using more of the features PracticePanther has to offer, like workflows, to tailor to the immigration law context.

Cons: I wish there were more integrations for immigration forms softwares, since the existing one is newer and buggy.

Pros: You can quickly record time and send out invoices with payment links for Lawpay. You can easily generate documents such as retainer letters with contact information. It makes billing much quicker and keeps track of payments. I also like the notification it shows when a client reviews an invoice.

Pros: I enjoy how easy it is to set up matters and the billing software. The calendar and activities have helped me keep track of court dates easily.

Cons: If the price could be slightly lower, that would be awesome. But the price is really not that high. There have been a couple bumps with invoicing, but those were easily fixable.

Pros: Customizable and user-friendly; also, the customer service is fantastic! The interface is different from other case management systems that I'm used to, but once I spent some time with it, I realized that not only is it different, but it's also better and easier to use!

Cons: Not easy to trigger child items from a parent item. This can be bypassed by creating an event and having tasks trigger from an event, but it cannot currently trigger tasks from other tasks, so it requires a bit more manual manipulation than I would prefer. That said, I provided feedback about this to their development team, and they are looking into how to add this feature.

Pros: Prior to Practice Panther, we were using a plethora of online programs, integrations and other software to piecemeal a law practice management system. Practice Panther has enabled the firm to grow with its ease of use, mobility and "one-stop shop" appeal. This has cut down on monthly program fees and allows the attorneys in other cities to collaborate and keep track of clients and files. We expect revenues to increase by 20-30% by switching to Practice Panther this year due to its streamlined architecture.

Cons: Although the file feature connected to Box is seamless, I would like to see Practice Panther create their own DMS system.

Pros: The customizability and customer focus. Additionally, the support is amazing. Ariel Gross recently helped me with some training. He didn't just answer my questions but created solutions to my problems and helped me optimize the software for my firm. This is the difference between using and utilizing the software. I test ran 5 cloud based systems and have familiarity with needles and Allstate's proprietary software, and practice panther is honestly the best yet. I hope is stays this way and continues to improve.

Cons: Templates require are uploading to make changes. It would be more helpful to add a template and then go back and make changes without re saving everything.

Overall: Flexibility and remote use are the key features, also being able to customize to my diverse practice.

Pros: Our favorite thing about PracticePanther is the seamless invoicing feature. We can get out professional invoices at the end of every month and get paid quickly. We would be lost without PracticePanther's invoicing feature, and the fact that it integrates with LawPay is an added bonus. We can now focus on practicing and growing our law firm and not worrying about whether or not we will get paid.

Cons: I think PracticePanther can improve on recognizing that a law firm might have more than one office in different cities or states. Sometimes the features, like invoicing, only allow you to input one office.

Overall: PracticePanther has made my life a lot less hectic and has allowed me to focus on generating new business and growing my practice. I don't have to spend as much time on administrative tasks now.

Pros: When I opened my own office, I researched other practice management systems. I ultimately selected PracticePanther and could not be more pleased. It is intuitive, cloud based, and seamlessly integrates with other cloud based technologies, e.g. email, calendaring, document storage, credit card processing, etc It is a very user friendly portal to running your entire law practice.

The invoicing is amazing bordering on magical. What years ago was a time consuming and cumbersome process has been reduced to a few clicks of the mouse. In about 15 seconds you can generate an invoice, send it to a client electronically, and accept payment online.

Overall: Streamlined business operations.

Comments: By far one of the best practice management programs I've ever come across in terms of the design and customer service. From the moment I signed up, I was greeted by my account manager who scheduled a one-on-one demo (instead of the typical webinar) to teach me how to use the software based around MY firm. During the demo, he showed me how easy it was to use since I'm not a computer techy. He also helped customize the software exactly to my practice areas with custom fields. Whenever I had any questions, they wrote back within minutes or answered the phone right away. My favorite feature is the feed where I can type any notes to quickly lookup when a client calls. My paralegal handles many of the incoming calls as well so it keeps us on the same page. We were looking for a client portal and it was great to see that option available, which I was told would be expanded to offer many more features soon. Security was also a concern and I'm happy no one has access to my account and all our information can always be exported to excel if needed.

Pros: The ease of accessing it from a web browser, the ability to instantly Chat with practice panther personnel or my inhouse personnel, client portal which shares documents and calendar events with the client, and synch with Google calendar and contacts.

Cons: The "add a call" feature doesn't have contact field for the other caller with their information. For example, in the matter, there are various contact fields that can be added. They allow you to populate through a drop down to the contact's info. If this was also in the "add a call" then I could have the phone number of the contact from the call part. So it would be nice to have ability to customize the call area to add workflow or templates like the matter area.

Pros: I thoroughly enjoy the client portal, the templates feature, the ability to label emails, the integration with lawpay, and of course the low fee. I travel a lot and have been able to log in from anywhere and stay in touch with clients and have unfettered access to my files. I am in the process of building my templates. It is time consuming, but I know it will pay off in the end. I am feel like I am getting my money's worth; especially as I learn how to utilize more of the program's features.

Overall: I can organized all of my files; I can create templates for drafting paperwork and sending to clients; and I have a secure client portal with an easy way for them to pay. Pros: The software is easy to use and covers all the areas that are important in this office for keeping tract of clients, the work expected, and the time entries of those of us in this office. I also like the fact that support is available by email and also by phone and tutorials are easily set up for more in depth lessons. On the one occasion when there was a malfunction in the program, the response from support was immediate and the problem fixed rapidly.

Cons: There is a learning curve for the software, but I believe that would be the case for any software serving the purposes that we need in this office, so that's not really a negative. Short of a program that does the work for me I cannot conceive of a better program.

Overall: I tested four different solutions looking for a secure client portal for messaging and file sharing and a reasonably intuitive interface for my tax practice. It was evident from the get-go that PracticePanther did both of these things well. My experience with customer service and senior management thus far (yes, even the suits!) gives me confidence that this cat is able and willing to keep on innovating to deliver a constantly improving experience.

Comments: For our Personal injury practice, this one fell way short. As with most software for sale, the demos looked great but until you get your hands on it, you really don't KNOW if it suits you. I was disappointed that this didn't work for us as my whole team liked the developer and we never failed to get super fast responses. The risk free trial was just that, no ifs, ands or buts, they let us try and refunded my purchase.

Pros: Very nice, friendly folks. Responsive and honest to questions, even when the answer is not favorable to them. Integrates well with Dropbox, easy to work with your own directory structure.

Cons: The software simply didn't suit our personal injury practice. The demos led us to believe the software was way more than it was, and workflows and automation, two of our biggest needs, simply weren't met.

Pros: The support staff are top notch. They respond quickly (sometimes as soon as 10 minutes!) and have been able to remedy any issue I've had. Aside from that, the software is intuitive and simple enough, while meeting all of my firm's needs. The software has made me more organized and has streamlined my billing practices, while allowing me to communicate securely with my clients. On top of all of that, pricing for the software beats their competitors. Can't miss.

Cons: I really don't have any complaints about the software. If pushed, I suppose they could add some additional features (multiple trust accounts), but I hear those are coming down the pipe soon anyway, so no complaints!

In 20 yrs as a legal asst, using several different "similar" applications, PP is, by far, the BEST!

Pros: Tons of extra features. Several functions that help keep tabs on follow up items and deadlines. Literally every feature we need in one program (calendar, client database, invoicing, time tracking, document automation, interoffice chat, document storage, etc..) The tech support staff are SO friendly and funny, too; always helpful and not condescending as some "tech" workers seem to be. An all-around great software program that has made life much easier for my boss and me.

Overall: The chat feature allows me to communicate more easily with my boss during the day. Workflows are awesome and keep us both more focused on each file's upcoming steps. Invoicing is simple and so is time tracking. More benefits than I can think of at this time!

Pros: Before PracticePanther I was bogged down in paperwork. I was spending nearly 4 hours a week just handling my invoicing and losing track of countless billable hours. Since joining PracticePanther I have seen a huge rise in my productivity. I am keeping better track of times and I have more free time to work on the law and less time is spent on administrative matters.

Cons: I have yet to find anything I dislike, however, it would be nice if I could connect my Google drive to my account.

Overall: Saves time on billing. Allows me to more efficiently track time and matters. Gives me alerts from hearing to invoicing, and keeps me organized on so many levels. It really helps not only the legal side of my business but the administrative side as well.

Comments: One of the customer rep was very helpful. Would like to work with him again for other support or training. I would really like if you had someone who would do some of the setup for templates, intake forms, etc. for me for a reasonable charge.

Pros: Provides some things I need for calendaring and contact management. Learning more about how to use it for matter management and other features like the templates, intake forms, etc.

Cons: I would like to see the calendar/tasks reminder feature be exactly like Outlook - which has a lot more options, and sometimes I want the reset of the reminder to be 1 week or 2 weeks out.

Pros: Practice Panther provides a single location for complete access to nearly every detail of client, matter, and internal data, all available at the click of a button.

As we integrate the platform with our own systems, Panther becomes, even more, a pillar of our operations. What used to take hours, can now be done in minutes.

Cons: The only current shortcoming of this software is an internal ability to handle ACH payments and structured payment plans. There are workarounds for both issues, and I've been told that work is under way to resolve both with intentional solutions.

Overall: Workflow Mangement, Document archiving, digital file structure, CRM, scheduling, multi-device, and multi-user syncing, and tons more.

This program is straightforward and keeps us organized.

Comments: In our firm, we were looking for a CRM software that would be easy to learn and train others in the firm to use. Practice Panther has been by far the best software we found when it comes to simplicity and security. I was able to learn how to use the software with ease and train others with it as well. Before signing up, I was able get a detailed tour throughout the site from the account manager David. He contacted me and offered a personal demo on the different features and how I can use the account to the best of my advantage. . I was shown the different features that are available once you begin using PracticePanther such as the Client portal login, customization of our account and the mobile app. The mobile app is great as it allows our firm to be able to view our cases, and accounts at any time. It¿s also beneficial because it combines about 5 different programs we were previously using in just one software such as QuickBooks and Time Sheets. Instead of managing my invoices, clients, and cases separately, PracticePanther does this all in one.

Pros: Simplicity, Detailed Tour before signing up for account, User Friendly

Pros: The ability to assign and track tasks

Cons: There are a lot of features that take a little while to learn

Overall: Before using PracticePanther, everything was done manually which was time consuming and it allowed things to "slip through the cracks". Now, with using PracticePanther, things are better organized and nothing is getting lost. Not everything is completed on schedule, but at least we can now see what is and is not being completed and reprioritize as needed. PracticePanther has been a huge boost in tracking tasks and their state of completion.

Recommendations to other buyers: Not at this time

Pros: I was given a referral from another attorney. I like being able to enter time via iPad, iPhone and iMac and it is easy

Cons: Nothing con to report. We do need to spend more time being educated by the customer service so we can use all of the available facets of the software.

Overall: Great looking bills, and easily entered time and descriptions

Pros: Custom intake forms made simple with custom fields that they come part of the permanent electronic file; simple and quick billing based on hourly, flat fee project with immediate email an immediate pay; server is fast and platform is friendly on the eyes and easy to use

Cons: No real cons just makes you think of more ideas which I am sure PP is doing. Perhaps the advertising box that remains up in the right hand corner regarding "refer a friend"? Not sure if that can be removed. I am still learning about the software but I do not see any real criticisms only suggested improvements that will occur over timeEither way

Pros: PracticePanther offers one of the best and most intuitive user interfaces of any practice management platform out there. It's easy to use and find what you're looking for. The interface can best be described as elegantly simple. But, interface aside, Practice Panther offers a robust set of features from time tracking, document generation, client document sharing, and a lot more.

Cons: PracticePanther is a major player in the case management game, but it is overpriced with what it currently offers. It has very few integrations, and that is very a very important factor to consider in today's legal tech market.

Pros: PracticePanther has enhanced our practice by automating repeatable functions and organizing files and tasks. Moreover, in complementing our growing need for access to files and data while away from the office, PracticePanther's cloud-based application and mobile phone application ensures we always have access to the information we need, when we need it. The software has heightened our efficiency allowing us to spend more time focusing on substantive matters to the benefit of our clients.

Cons: A windows desktop app would be great to compliment the browser based software. Beyond that, it had operated ideally.
