Very positive. So much easier having all the people information, events, forms, groups, donations, & accounting in one place. We have used them since May 2022.

Pros

Donations and Accounting are integrated. No exporting from contributions rearranging data and importing into accounting. Forms are easy to use and some of the fields will add/count in the summary section. Has a printable directory for the folks that like a printed directory. Groups are easy to manage. Each group has their own calendar. Can easily email all members of the group. Service Planning has categories and a multi-grid for easy assigning of volunteers. Automation is wonderful for membership process and visitor process etc. Reports and be auto sent via the query function. The serving area is where the congregation can sign up to serve areas that are needed. Usually have answers to questions in the chat (customer support) in 15-30 minutes during business hours. Merchant account (USIO) does not charge a percent + thirty cents per transaction. Just a percentage. There is a box to allow the giver to cover the fees. We are not large enough to use the facilities scheduling, but it's there if we need it.

Cons

Because it has so much available it takes a bit to learn. We have older saints that have needed some training, and don't see it as very intuitive. But there is a lot of availability with the software so it takes some time to learn when you haven't worked with computer software. Would love an integration with Ministry Safe. Right now they have Protect my ministry.

Good value for the money. Meets our needs. Our staff picked it up quickly and our congregation has loved having the mobile app.

Pros

Ease of use - first system we've had where everyone will use it. Much less expensive than other systems we've had but with the same functionality. Support has been excellent and timely.

Cons

Nothing really. We are happy with the system. I suppose some people would like to customize more but that isn't an issue for us.

We have been thrilled with this transition. I've been through a few ChMS migrations of data to new systems. They are always a lot of work. This one has gotten the best reception by the staff of any I've seen. Most have been happy to give up their old spreadsheets and third-party applications to consolidate our data in one place. I am very pleased with our decision to move to One Church Software.

Pros

One Church Software is quite easy to use and user-friendly. It's visually appealing. It does just about everything we need and we've been able to reduce reliance on third-party platforms for some of our data. The migration from our previous system to OCS went very well. Customer service is very prompt. We've also saved quite a bit of money switching to OCS.

Cons

Sometimes we struggle to get the help desk person to understand what our issue actually is so we can get an appropriate solution.

Reasons for choosing One Church Software

There was something about the Planning Center check-in process for kids that was not customizable and their method would not fit with the way we do ministry. I can't remember the specifics, but that was a deal-breaker for us.

Overall it's been pretty great. Our congregation is about 88% retirees and seniors and they have had a generally open response for using the platform. That has been the most rewarding that it has enough simplicity for them to not feel extremely disinterested in using it.

Pros

It's a huge step up from the decentralized way we were handling church groups, events, and contributions. Having these all in one place has taken a deep burden off our accounting staff as well as our volunteer group leaders.

Cons

The software works well even with some navigational aspects being a bit out of place. I am a huge software person so been on a lot of platforms. One Church's functionalities are great. I would just love to see more data sharing across modules to make the experience more seamless and the navigation to become more simple.

Overall the system has been really easy to use and understand. This software makes it easy for our congregants to get information and pay for services/donations to the church.

Pros

Our favorite features are an easy to use system that our congregants can use for accepting donations to the church. We also really enjoy the ability to creat event pages the spread information to our congregation. The system is very easy to learn and easy to teach to older congregants who may struggle with technology.

Cons

We do not understand why the software should require an additional fee for the ability to customize the mobile app. We have not utilized this feature because of budget reasons and would really like this feature to be included in the product as standard, not an additional tier fee. The majority of congregants primarily use their phones to do anything with the church, and though the basic app has it's benefits, we dont' know what we are missing out on because we are stuck behind a pay wall our board will not agree to proceed with.

Overall, we have had a very positive experience. It is light years better than our previous system.

Pros

We have come to love the customizability of the software. We can get to some intricate details when it comes to reports and automations. Connections is one of my favorite features. It allows me to customize the type of information we make about an individual and connect them with the appropriate ministry head.

Cons

With the customizability comes a good bit of time and work. The staff person tasked with our transition and construction of automations, forms, and reports had to go through some intricate steps to ensure the right information was being recorded and disseminated.

Excellent experience with OCS and their support team. I've worked with nearly every ChMS in the market, helping churches select and implement many products. One Church is the most configurable platform without requiring "custom" code or highly technical steps to get most of the functions that churches need. They've done an amazing job of making the user interface clean and powerful. The chat-based support team are very responsive, often church staff themselves, and the founders are involved and accessible.

Pros

One Church puts best of class, highly configurable tools in one platform, while staying easy to use. I love that churches can configure groups and events to match the way they structure their ministry, that it's easy for church members and guests to access and manage their personal data, and for lay leaders and volunteers to have access to the limited data they need.

Cons

There's an opportunity to make SMS text automation more powerful. Currently, "dashboard" type reporting / metrics are weak.

Generally - moving from "legacy" products that did not have modern functions and were very rigid in their structures.

I am the head counter and the contributions module has streamlined our counting process very well. We have fewer mistakes and if we do, we can find and fix them easily. We are able to generate giving statements very quickly.

Pros

When we researched church management software, we chose OneChurch. What an excellent decision! It is easy to use, comprehensive, a great value and most important has a wonderful support system. If I have a question, I can get an answer very quickly from the most courteous helpers.

Cons

It as been difficult to get regular members to use it. We haven't priortized member usage. However, our leaders use it extensively.
