### "Easy Event Networking and a Positive Experience"

August 1, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Whova was very positive. The app was easy to use and made the event feel more organized and interactive. I especially liked being able to connect with other attendees and participate in event-related conversations in one place.

Pros

Whova made it easy to connect and network with other event attendees. The app was simple to navigate, and the networking features helped me engage with people before, during, and after the event.

Cons

I did not experience any major drawbacks while using Whova. Everything I needed was easy to find and worked well for the event.

### "Best conference app I have encountered"

August 26, 2026

5.0

This was my first time using Whova. It was easy to setup, locate a QR code for sharing contact information and locate where I needed to be and when with the help of a floor map. I loved the surveys and points game on the Leaderboard to keep everyone engaged. Also, the document option to download or open on the mobile device really helped as well.

Pros

Everything I needed for the conference was contained within a single app. It was easy to navigate between the agenda, contacts, floor map and documents from the sessions. When there was a session cancellation, it appeared in the app, so I was able to quickly access the full agenda and mark another session to attend.

Cons

Honestly, I do not recall something that I could say I did not like about the app. Nothing comes to mind. I encountered no issues while using the app.

### "Whova- who cares?"

August 18, 2025

2.0

It was difficult to send customized messages to buyers and register attendees. Whova lacks flexibility and pushes for more sales and self-promotion. The purpose of technology and automation is to save time. Instead, we spent a significant amount of time trying to make the system function properly and addressing problems that our buyers/attendees were having.

Pros

I was able to reach local support when issues arose, but problems arose often. The system processed all the sales, but that's where the problems started.

Cons

Required fields were bypassed-creating shipping issues as mailing addresses (which had to be manually added) were not collected. Buyers were not registered as attendees and managing a group of attendees was difficult. The system is not intuitive nor easy to work with. A list of buyers can be downloaded but is not formatted to be imported to send out emails for further instructions. The email options in other cases are canned Whova messages that cannot be edited, and create confusion among event attendees because they're so poorly worded. This is a poorly thought-out system, which is busy trying to do everything but skips the basics.

Switched from

[Eventbrite](https://www.capterra.com/p/114949/Eventbrite/)

Event Brite would not allow the buyer of a group of tickets to assign a ticket to their guests. Whova claimed this would be easy.

### "Why Aren't YOU using Whova?"

May 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with Whova and I wish more large conferences would migrate over. Last year, I sent in a suggestion to the NCJSA-North Carolina Juvenile Services Association-that they take a look at Whova and see where it might help them. That's also an annual, and fairly large, conference I enjoy. I have no way of knowing if they did. I really like all the app opportunities for networking, that it doesn't always happen personally, but still feels personal and like a real connection. Thank you!

Pros

I really liked the way it set up and managed the conference. I hadn't used it since last year, but it didn't take long to remember the ease of navigation between everything this conference does; so easy to get right back into it.

Cons

The thing I liked the least about Whova is that some of the titles of the different activities seemed to be two different words for the same thing: I would get quite confused with what the difference was in the following: Icebreakers (I think the questions were fixed to only 4-thought I'd be creating my own), then Polls: I went there and was able to create my own, but I thought I wasn't doing polls, just entering a question where I'd seen more Qs on the app. So, possibly I created a Survey rather than a Poll! I just checked surveys and it took me to Session feedback instead?

### "Whova Makes Conference Navigation Easy!"

August 25, 2026

5.0

I enjoy Whova and hope to be able to utilize it at each conference I attend now and in the future. There are many great benefits including connecting with fellow attendees and speakers while also having the ability to navigate and manage my own conference agenda, notes, and photos.

Pros

I appreciated the ease with which I could navigate the conference through the Whova app. I also enjoyed being able to manage my conference notes and photos (as well as sharing photos with other attendees) within the app.

Cons

I have yet to find any cons in regards to Whova! I am very pleased with the ease of use and the value it gives to all conference attendees.

### "User-Friendly App"

July 7, 2026

5.0

I used it throughout each day of the conference and was always able to find what I needed, including maps and access to conference announcements. I would recommend this app to other conference organizers.

Pros

It was easy to navigate, had opportunities to engage and network, and allowed presenters and attendees to connect about a session.

Cons

I liked everything about the app, as it was easy to use and navigate. I did not have any issues with this app.

### "Whova, automation that makes sense! "

August 25, 2026

5.0

It worked very smoothly and for the first time I had all 80+ contacts that attended my presentation electronically. WAAAYY better than the old notebook sign-in sheet LOL

Pros

Whova is a great way to prepare for giving a presentation. It allows attendees to pre-register, for you to ask questions pre-event, and makes it easy to follow up on those who registered.

Cons

If people don't download the app/register you don't know they attended and can't follow up with them outside of personal contact.

### "Great Product"

September 1, 2026

5.0

Very easy to navigate as an event attendee. Attendees are able to use the app to do the bare minimum, or can use the app to get the full blown experience.

Pros

This app was very easy to use. There are a lot of options for customizing the event experience and I was thankful for all of the discussion boards and opportunities to connect with other attendees. Loved that the event map was built into each session details.

Cons

Too many places for discussion - I would get confused about what I saw in a Q&A post vs. a discussion board vs. Organizer Announcements. This reflects how users were utilizing the options, but it did create some confusion about where to go for the information I was seeking.

### "Made The Whole Thing MORE Memorable"

July 21, 2026

5.0

Pros

The app definitely heightened my experience of the event. The cost is nothing to use as an attendee. It made my first time at this conference an absolute blast. And I got to meet and connect with so many amazing people, and the app helped with all of that. The fact that I can continue to interact with them for some time afterwards as well is simply a bonus. I had no issues, so customer support wasn't even necessary. It was easy to use, and there are great resources to figure it out if you have any difficulty. It helped, as a speaker, to manage the event and drive engagement. Our breakout session appeared to be the conference favorite, and I credit Whova for making that a reality. I had no bugs or issues, so there's nothing to report on that side.

Cons

Nothing at all. It worked flawlessly for me. And even if I did have problems, there are copious resources to guide me to the solution.

### "Whova - the conference continuity app"

September 1, 2026

5.0

Overall, a great app. If your goal is keeping attendees engaged as a community rather than just handing them a digital schedule, this is the one.

Pros

Whova is the first event app I've used that actually keeps people in touch across the whole conference, not just while they're in the building. Before the event, attendees were already introducing themselves and setting up meetups. During, the agenda, session updates, and messaging replaced the usual chaos of email and paper schedules. And after, the conversations kept going for weeks, which is where most event apps go dead. What I liked most: Easy for attendees to figure out with no hand-holding Networking features that people actually use Agenda and announcements in one place, updated in real time Community board stays active after the event ends

Cons

Minor gripe: there's a lot going on in the app, so first-time users may need a minute to find everything. Not a dealbreaker.

### "My Phone Experience"

March 31, 2026

4.0

I'd say it was pretty good. You'd be well served by making the messaging better known... ADD phone notifications! I kept asking people at the conference if they had gotten my message and they had not because they didn't open the app and see it. I'd like it to pop-up as a phone notification. What good is a message sent that isn't seen until way after it's relevant?

Pros

I like seeing the Event Schedule, picking my events, getting session alerts, seeing the floor plan(map), AND best of all the instant messaging conference and session attendees.

Cons

Navigation within the phone Graphical User Interface. I felt like I had to look around to find things like the floor layout a lot. What I don't like is this response interface I'm typing into right now. It has, for each box, a minimum number of characters it allows and it shows in in the form of a fraction. I was confused and shortened each of my messages to fall below 100 characters only to come back and have to add back in to make this review process work. Below each box it should state 100 Characters Minimum: (#CharCount). That makes it way easier to understand(intuative). It only explains it after you try to submit... (Minimum of 100 characters not met). Here's my experience. I saw the fraction and I didn't even proceed to read "min." I'm just used to having to fix a response to fit into a limited context, I went into auto-pilot when filling this in.

### "When Engagement Becomes Empowerment: My Whova Experience"

September 30, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Whova was amazing. I loved how it allowed people to engage with my topic constructively, making discussions more meaningful and interactive. It even contributed to me winning an award for active participation! The personalized templates were uplifting and gave the whole experience a positive, inspiring feel. Beyond the event, Whova helped me build real connections people saw me for who I am, and some even reached out for mentorship, which was humbling since I usually see myself as the one seeking guidance. Truly, Whova is one of the best digital storytelling tools I’ve used.

Pros

What I liked most about Whova was how it brought everything I needed into one space event schedules, speaker details, live updates, and networking opportunities. The app made it simple to stay on track with sessions while also discovering new ones that matched my interests. I especially enjoyed the community board and networking features, which helped me connect with other participants in meaningful ways P.S i even got to set in person meet ups. It felt like the conversations extended beyond the conference hall, creating a sense of community. Overall, Whova made the entire event experience seamless, engaging, and much more interactive.

Cons

What I liked the least was that some notifications felt a bit overwhelming at times. It would be great to have more control over which alerts to receive.

### "Effective, focused and Efficient"

May 5, 2026

5.0

Excellent overview for a hybrid virtual and in-person conference - I really felt connected to material and other attendees, and learned a lot.

Pros

I like that the entire conference is available in one platform - webcasts, conference materials, reference materials, the networking opportunities, and found that having a click-through agenda with a "my notes" and "my agenda" section was really useful. I can tag events to watch again later, or if I was double- or sometimes triple-booked with classes I wanted to see but couldn't due to scheduling conflicts, I can get back to them instantly.

Cons

I don't think the app is near as good as the desktop or laptop web portal, and I wish the functionality were similar with both. It's good, but not great. Phones are a limiting factor for sure.

### "Connect with Whova!"

Great! I enjoyed the interactive setup of this app. You have milestones to reach to earn points, which prompts you to get connected and enagaged.

Pros

Event Management, reminders, security, easy to use, and overall great to keep everything in one location.

Cons

Sometimes you would be prompted that there were new items, and there were none, such as messages, and community messages.

### "Great Conference/Event Companion!"

May 1, 2026

5.0

I used Whova for both of the FVMA conferences I attended. I liked being able to create my schedule of events as well as seeing which of my fellow team members were attending. The open forums and ability to take notes on the app are also amazing!

Pros

The app is super easy to use. I can find all of the information I need regarding scheduled events/conferences at one easy click. I love also being able to see who else is attending in my direct network as well as other people that might be great to meet.

Cons

I can't think of anything I didn't like about Whova. It's a great app- I also love how I get updates after events.

Cons

Course changes in times and dates were different from security times. Worked out in the end, but had conficts with a couple courses.

### "Loved Whova!"

May 7, 2026

5.0

My first time, I loved this app, was at the MCCAC conference last week and really enjoyed all the features I have not see with other conference apps. I liked it so much I sent it to the American Probation and Parole Association to consider looking at when our app contract is up.

Pros

Easy use and download. I liked that I could find who was signed up for my training and send them a welcome. My training had 2 sessions so could remind them they had to attend both.

Cons

Maybe a little too much push out. Lots of follow up that maybe I didnt need to be bothered with, could there be an option to opt in or out of these?

I enjoyed working with the application. It made planning my day and navigating the conference easy. I appreciated all of the reminders thoughout the day.

Pros

Easy location to look through all of the conference events and keep track of them. One-stop location to manage conference notes.

### "handy app with nice features for events"

June 17, 2025

5.0

very nice to have such an app for an event: the overview, all the info on the event, info on hotel and off course the chance to post some pictures :-)

Pros

the Leaderboard is very nice, especially to "concur" between colleagues, even when you don't know the person very well yet. Also the community where you can add topics as many as you like and comment on other topics.

Cons

The app didn't ask me with which agenda to synchronize, so I accepted the full agenda but didn't find this in my outlook agenda. Also the hotel info should synchronize with google maps or waze, so that you can immediately find your way to the hotel.

### "One attendee of the ATBC2025"

July 8, 2025

5.0

Whova end up being an extremely useful tool during the 61th meeting of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation. I was able to organize my schedules and meet-up with potential collaborators thanks to the app. The conference wouldn't be the same without the help provided by Whova app.

Pros

It is a very complete and intuitive application. To be able to create my own agenda, through the full agenda, was great since it help me to optimize my time and be on the talks and poster's I was interested in. The ability to connect with other ateendes through the chat was also great. Sincerely, my experience at the conference wouldn't have been as good without the app, and this has been one of the best conferences I've been in my life.

Cons

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. It was helpful at every moment of the experience. As a volunteer during the event, it really helped with supporting activities.
