### "Human Rights Connecting with Whova"

March 25, 2026

5.0

I cannot imagine a better way to interface with a global gathering! Thanks to generous cousins I stayed in midtown Manhattan and walked a mile to and from the United Nations every day for nine days of the UNCSW70 in March, 2026. Whova kept me attending some of the most meaningful presentations and discussions of my life!

Pros

Whova allowed me to quickly scan the many side event offerings at the 2026 United Nations Commission on the Status of Women to determine the best use of my time and focus for the nine days of the conference. Whova also provided a direct way to communicate with other attendees, more than 4,600 civil society representatives!

Cons

I would have liked an Index of the many offerings of the nine days of the UNCSW70. Sometimes I missed events I would have liked to attend!

### "ConnAPA 2026 Whova Review - JW"

March 31, 2026

5.0

Great interactive conference tool. I appreciated how seamlessly everything was integrated, from registration to agenda planning. The platform simplified complex event logistics, making it easier for both organizers and participants to stay informed, engaged, and on track throughout entire event experience.

Pros

What I liked most about Whova was its strong capabilities in event attendee management, meeting and session management, and overall event coordination. It made it easy to track attendees, view profiles, and facilitate meaningful connections. The session management tools were especially effective, allowing me to organize my schedule, access session details, and receive timely updates.

Cons

What I liked least about the Whova app was that certain features could feel slightly overwhelming or cluttered, especially for first-time users. Navigating between management tools, session details, and event updates sometimes required extra steps, which could interrupt the flow of the experience. I also found that notifications could become excessive, making it harder to focus on the most relevant updates.

### "Whova- who cares?"

August 18, 2025

2.0

It was difficult to send customized messages to buyers and register attendees. Whova lacks flexibility and pushes for more sales and self-promotion. The purpose of technology and automation is to save time. Instead, we spent a significant amount of time trying to make the system function properly and addressing problems that our buyers/attendees were having.

Pros

I was able to reach local support when issues arose, but problems arose often. The system processed all the sales, but that's where the problems started.

Cons

Required fields were bypassed-creating shipping issues as mailing addresses (which had to be manually added) were not collected. Buyers were not registered as attendees and managing a group of attendees was difficult. The system is not intuitive nor easy to work with. A list of buyers can be downloaded but is not formatted to be imported to send out emails for further instructions. The email options in other cases are canned Whova messages that cannot be edited, and create confusion among event attendees because they're so poorly worded. This is a poorly thought-out system, which is busy trying to do everything but skips the basics.

Switched from

[Eventbrite](https://www.capterra.com/p/114949/Eventbrite/)

Event Brite would not allow the buyer of a group of tickets to assign a ticket to their guests. Whova claimed this would be easy.

### "My Phone Experience"

March 31, 2026

4.0

I'd say it was pretty good. You'd be well served by making the messaging better known... ADD phone notifications! I kept asking people at the conference if they had gotten my message and they had not because they didn't open the app and see it. I'd like it to pop-up as a phone notification. What good is a message sent that isn't seen until way after it's relevant?

Pros

I like seeing the Event Schedule, picking my events, getting session alerts, seeing the floor plan(map), AND best of all the instant messaging conference and session attendees.

Cons

Navigation within the phone Graphical User Interface. I felt like I had to look around to find things like the floor layout a lot. What I don't like is this response interface I'm typing into right now. It has, for each box, a minimum number of characters it allows and it shows in in the form of a fraction. I was confused and shortened each of my messages to fall below 100 characters only to come back and have to add back in to make this review process work. Below each box it should state 100 Characters Minimum: (#CharCount). That makes it way easier to understand(intuative). It only explains it after you try to submit... (Minimum of 100 characters not met). Here's my experience. I saw the fraction and I didn't even proceed to read "min." I'm just used to having to fix a response to fit into a limited context, I went into auto-pilot when filling this in.

### "Whova provides the map for success at ComicsPro"

February 24, 2026

5.0

Overall I was very happy as consulting with the Whova app allowed me to plan my days and have a very smooth experience at ComicsPro. I would really suggest future events use Whova to maintain a high level of organization.

Pros

I found that the Whova app allowed me to navigate an otherwise complex event with multiple locations and overlapping times for different sessions. I was able to plan an effective and rewarding experience.

Cons

At first it was a bit overwhelming but I am glad I downloaded it early and had a chance to get to know my way around.

### "I had a lot of fun!"

February 10, 2026

5.0

Overall it was actually fun and a great tool to know what was happening and when. What sessions I needed to be at and what sessions were available.

Pros

If launched successfully and gamified it can be a lot of fun. I've been to a lot of trade shows and conferences and the most important part is the Agenda and being able prior to the event choose your own adventure based on the sessions. The gamification for our internal team made it fun to engage and "level up" by interacting with other team members, meeting new people, and compete.

Cons

I was a user and I suppose the only thing I didn't like is I looked at "My Agenda" on night vs the entire agenda and missed breakfast because I thought a session started at 9 but it started at 8. User error but made for a bad day.

### "Industry Leading - Networking and Awareness for Conferences and Summits!"

March 24, 2026

5.0

Excellent! It was easy and fun to connect with others who were attending the conference and it was easy to find where my favorite sessions and speakers would be. Making speakers and topics searchable on the app was a brilliant idea that greatly enhanced my ability to select the sessions I would attend!

Pros

The Whova badges were excellent - the print was large and an easy to read font and color, the badges facilitated the rapid sharing of contact information - which is usually a challenge at conference environments. I have recommended my organization use these badges at our own event.

Cons

The Whova badges allow the conference attendee to toggle through schedules and to view additional information, however it moves slower than what is optimal. That latency with the app is easily overcome by using the Whova app which is the best app I have see for summits anywhere.

### "Comprehensive Event Management"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Pros

Customizability for managing multiple large-scale events and conferences. Super robust feature set, relatively straightforward instruction/guidance on how to implement.

Cons

Overwhelming feature set when first getting used to the product. There's a lot of function I never touched, and there's also quite a bit of email marketing from them.

### "My Greatest experience"

February 24, 2026

5.0

Great things happen with Whova. It provides a good experience and make the events more organized and helps the participants updated to announcements.

Pros

Great connection with the participants of the conference. It shows the trade, meet ups and well organized. It's best known for the agenda planning , allowing participants to brows session in advanced made me amazed.

Cons

With the first time users it cluttered with many tabs, notification and interactive options. Some users have technical issues.

### "Great conference app!"

May 14, 2025

4.0

It's been a great product for us to use. The setup is a bit tedious but the customer service has been great. It's also been very useful in getting conference attendees to interact with each other.

Pros

This is a very comprehensive conference app that can integrate into my website, create nametags, send messages etc.

Cons

It seems like the admin portal just kept building up over time and as a result can be difficult to navigate.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Whova

Cvent was more expensive and far more comprehensive than we needed.

### "When Engagement Becomes Empowerment: My Whova Experience"

September 30, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Whova was amazing. I loved how it allowed people to engage with my topic constructively, making discussions more meaningful and interactive. It even contributed to me winning an award for active participation! The personalized templates were uplifting and gave the whole experience a positive, inspiring feel. Beyond the event, Whova helped me build real connections people saw me for who I am, and some even reached out for mentorship, which was humbling since I usually see myself as the one seeking guidance. Truly, Whova is one of the best digital storytelling tools I’ve used.

Pros

What I liked most about Whova was how it brought everything I needed into one space event schedules, speaker details, live updates, and networking opportunities. The app made it simple to stay on track with sessions while also discovering new ones that matched my interests. I especially enjoyed the community board and networking features, which helped me connect with other participants in meaningful ways P.S i even got to set in person meet ups. It felt like the conversations extended beyond the conference hall, creating a sense of community. Overall, Whova made the entire event experience seamless, engaging, and much more interactive.

Cons

What I liked the least was that some notifications felt a bit overwhelming at times. It would be great to have more control over which alerts to receive.

Pros

Cons

i created a profile on my phone, then did it on my computer and it made two diff profiles. How can I get those profiles combined?

### "thank full"

it keeps you engaged with all the fun images you use for the challenges. keeping our conference at our fingertips with different classes to attend it makes it easy to be able to navigate

Pros

easy to manage has a lot of highlights of the conference. prompting you to the schedule and not letting you miss out on any of the good sessions that were provided. Keeping track of all the courses, you are attending.

Cons

at first it seem intimidating to use because it has so much information but, then you relize how eazy it is to be able to use it.

### "Loved the app - easy to use and inspires participation"

September 9, 2025

5.0

My overall experience is that I had to text a friend of mine that goes to conferences regularly to tell her that I was loving the new app. Which sounds like a commercial, but in reality having a good app at a conference can make or break the experience.

Pros

I liked that it was easy to use, and all the functionality. The home page/dashboard was simple, the buttons for the different areas were clear and easy to use. The prompts that were present I think encouraged participation which is always a good thing at a conference. I also LOVED how easy it was to RSVP to sessions and to see the capacity of the sessions before walking in.

Cons

I didn't have anything that stood out as a con to using Whova. The feed with the different conversation topics and ice breakers was a little cluttered, but easier to use once you figure out what you were looking at.

### "A Seamless and Engaging Virtual Event Experience with Whova"

June 11, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Whova was very positive. The platform made it easy to stay organized, engaged, and connected throughout the event. I appreciated how intuitive the interface was—navigating the agenda, accessing session links, and reviewing speaker bios were all simple and seamless. One of the standout features for me was the networking functionality. Being able to connect with other attendees, join discussion threads, and participate in community boards added a layer of interactivity that many virtual platforms lack. It made the event feel more collaborative and less isolated.

Pros

What I liked most about Whova was its all-in-one platform that made event organization, communication, and participation seamless. As an event organizer (or participant), I appreciated how user-friendly the interface was—everything from schedules and speaker bios to announcements and networking tools was easily accessible in one place.

Cons

I would like to be able to view the full agenda while attending a webinar session. Currently, once I'm in a live session, it becomes less convenient to navigate back to the agenda without leaving or disrupting the webinar screen. Having the ability to view the session list or agenda in a side panel or as a pop-up overlay would allow participants to easily check what’s coming up next, plan their time, and switch between sessions more efficiently—all without having to exit the current session. This added flexibility would enhance the overall user experience and make the platform even more intuitive during virtual events.

### "Whova-One Stop Conference Management"

August 7, 2025

5.0

I was a presenter at the conference. Whova seemed to work well for the conference. It was well organized and was fun to use the social aspects of the app.

Pros

Whova made the conference schedule easy to read and follow. It also added some fun to the event by adding competition relating to engagement.

Cons

I may have missed it, but I would have preferred to decide whether my indeed account was connected or not.

### "Effective, Efficient Conference Management App"

September 16, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with Whova was positive. Once I got past the irritation of having to download and sign up for another app, it was smooth sailing. The app is easy to use, intuitive, and helps simplify connecting with fellow conference attendees.

Pros

It's easy to view the schedule (and a personalized schedule), connect with attendees, and share information about sessions, speakers, and gatherings.

Cons

I didn't want to download another app, but what are you going to do? Conference organizers say we're using this, and if you want to be part of the action, you gotta play the game.

It was very interesting. Thank you for the food and drinks. I liked the Wellbriety talking circle on Tuesday morning. Maybe have an AA / ACoA / and Wellbriety before and after the conference.

Pros

the skit. it taught me HOW culture/tradition means which is a person lost in addiction, or going down that path, can be reminded, "that is not you, you are an indigenous person with much to live for."

Cons

N/A, I liked everything. There was a lot of vendors, and the attendees were well taken care of. Great entertainment!

### "Efficient and User-Friendly Event Management Tool"

September 23, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Whova has been positive. The app's user-friendly interface and comprehensive features make it an excellent choice for conference management. Despite the issue with notifications, the benefits far outweigh this minor inconvenience.

Pros

Whova is convenient, easy to use, and effective. It simplifies the process of managing and attending conferences, making it a valuable tool for both organizers and participants.

Cons

One downside is the multiple notifications, which can sometimes be overwhelming and distracting, taking away from the event.

4.0

Easy to use. Easy to download. I liked My Adgenda, it simplified my time at this event. I liked the conflicting notice, it allowed me to have a second choice session and then pick the one I attended.

Pros

Menu bar at bottom of cell phone screen for easier access. I liked the shortcut to get me to exactly what I want to acess, eg ADGENDA

Cons

So many notices that I still have not read them all. There has to be an easier way then going into every notice twice to open and read the whole thing!

My overall experience with Whova was excellent. Whova provided each participant of the 15th Annual District Court Conference with everything - the easy-to-follow setup instructions, the registration process, the presenters' handouts, and a Certificate of Completion.

Pros

I liked that Whova was easy to access and easy to use. I liked that Whova provided up-to-date information. I also liked the ability to view the other participants who were attending the conference.

Cons

### "Super useful for thoughtful & intentional networking"

April 29, 2025

4.0

Great! I find it super-useful for intentional networking, setting up Meet-Ups ahead of time and exchanging information since many people no longer travel with business cards.

Pros

Allowed me to connect with people ahead of the conference, set-up a focused Meet-Up and follow-up with people I met in passing.

Cons

I would like to be able to sort by type of attendee (corporate) and also ignore meet-ups I'm not interested in attending so I can keep up with the ones I am interested in following. The follow feature does not eliminate the notifications. The LinkedIn connection did not work so well for me -- it kept directing me to update my LinkedIn app, which was fully up-to-date.

Pros

I like the well-roundedness of the app, meaning that I could use it for learnign about my sessions and finding them, but also about who was at the conference and the fact that it would suggest people to meet based on location or interets, etc. I like being able to post questions to the group and have a common space for the presentations to be found if the presenters didn't share right away or I wanted to see the slides from someone else.

Cons

Lots of notifications (even if I turned them off) throught the day to filter through
