Pros Software is so accurate that we no longer have the overstock of unused products or dead skus. Purchasing accuracy is 100% and if there is an error we no longer have to question if it is user error or software. Cons Finales Customizable features are not as user-friendly as the rest of the software. When you customize your screen pdf's and items associated with the front end of what you see it is an arrow up or down, not being able to drag and drop when arranging your customs takes time and is very aggravating. They are continually improving and updating the program. Having used manual systems, spread sheets and even written my own database this is the best solution I have ever seen for BATFE Compliant Inventory Management. Having used text based scripting systems since the 80's, I was never a huge fan of graphical fireworks choreography programs but I do enjoy being able to see the show develop. The software is quick and you're not bogged down in the graphics, so you can quickly assemble your shows and get the job done. We gave the program a 4 star rating on ease of use because while it is intuitive populating the animations isn't the easiest thing. However, it does a great job animating on the product descriptions. We have added our equipment inventory as well so we can track its movement and project what we will need. Finale is an integral part of our operations now. Review Source SC Sarah C. The Customer support representative at Finale went above and beyond to assist me with teaching me the key tools I would need to succeed during the first week to keep operations running until I had the time to learn the system. Throughout the past 6 months, he has answered any and all questions from the most basic to the most complex. The Finale software is very efficient for us and the service that comes with it makes it worth every penny. Pros Ease of use. Design is clean. Search function is very user friendly. Just cut and paste from Excel. We've used Finale now for two years as our order management system and warehouse management system. Outshines other inventory control systems and asset tracking software for manufacturing hands down. Pros means we can work on other areas of the business assured that our inventory is well managed. Faultless user friendly interface ensures staff don't get caught up in the navaigation or processes. We even included light manufacturing using a workaround. Customer service is scheduled to go live shortly. Pros Intuitive UI, slightly different but better than many legacy applications Easy to configure UI, reports, forms and custom fields Reports and forms are very easy to use and output in different ways Data load from Excel via cut & paste is very intuitive and just cool We use it to track mainly individually barcoded items, works really well Customer service is outstanding Training videos are great way to start with the system, short and sweet per topic Where we found a functional deficiency, there has always been a viable workaround Cons Sales quote not set up yet for tax handling (I am sure it will happen at some point) Sometimes couldn't make the last detail of a report work, here the outstanding customer service always delivered an answer in no time Review Source DP Dani P. I really appreciate their extensive help section with how-to videos and articles, and their customer service is unmatched. Mobile device solution for picking, receiving...etc. You can customize product/stock screen view and add/remove filters to see what you need. Lots of features and ability to customize. Cons No wireless syncing available yet and you have to create product lookup for everything you list on selling channels or otherwise will not update. This should be automatic. The custom reporting is great. Certainly a game changer for our business. Pros Extremely simple to use. If you are coming from an excel spreadsheet...this is a game changer. Cons You rarely can pick up a phone and speak to someone immediately, however, usually when I would write the email...proof read the email...I would be able to answer my own question. The biggest benefit we've received is having inventory levels pushed to our e-commerce stores. This one feature alone enabled us to not backfill a position when an employee left the company. Pros Uploading to this software is so much easier than any other software I've used before. Cons The only drawback we've encountered is scanning for kits. It has integrations with various website storefronts, warehouse scanner capabilities and a ton of automated reports you can customize. Cons The browser needed to access Finale is very particular, though I was able to use Chrome with no issues. At first, the number of products were minimal and an excel spreadsheet was all we needed. After a few years, we needed a solution that wouldn't be outgrown overnight. One of my favorite features is that our employees can access the software from anywhere and multiple users can be logged in simultaneously. Cons It struggled with its QuickBooks integration. It had no problems pulling in the inventory but invoices and purchase orders would sometimes not move the inventory or financial information to QuickBooks.
