Pros: Good dashboards, access controls, scheduling - helps to bring Ansible into the Enterprise

Cons: Some features take time to understand in order to work with them properly. Some of the workflows are cumbersome.

Overall: Enabled us to handoff some common sysadmin tasks to less technical people. Since Ansible got bought by RedHat - the project is improving rapidly

Pros: It does not need client-side processes or configuration (just ssh access).

Command line interface is fast and comprehensive.

Support is fast and everywhere.

Cons: The learning curve is steep (I mean it).

Reports are not as powerful or customizable as other tools in the market.

SSH, while easy to use, lacks security.

Overall: System configuration automation is now done in a jiff.

Pros: The best part of Ansible is that you don't need to learn python to use it, because it uses human-friendly yaml syntax that easily integrates with most cloud infra providers.

Cons: Sometimes the data structures available seem limiting but once you really learn the tool, it all comes into focus.

Pros: I've tried alternatives ( chef, puppet...) but ansible is the one I kept, I'm using it nearly daily, it has a lot of modules and the community is making more everyday. You are sure to find support and help on a lot of platforme. The best thing is the ease of learning.

Cons: My only complaint is the price, as I am already satisfied with ansible when it comes to the main features.
