Pros Integrates with JDE; the team has been able to adapt to learning the system fairly easily. The auto upload features work well due to the large size of our product portfolio. Cons Some basic features are unavailable: customer can add items to their cart that are OOS (would like to restrict customers from being able to add items that are OOS); when searching through a catalog, a user will often hit the back button and the system takes them back to page 1 (vs. previous page); we have had numerous issues with customer orders being hung up or not processing that have taken a while to resolve. Pros The guys from SmarterCommerce showed up and from day one were speaking JDE with our JDE team. Nobody else who we brought in made us feel that way. The software runs in JDE's business application layer and calls native JDE jobs directly to accomplish processing steps. It's not so much an integration as it is another JDE app we're running. Cons I think we're a real test for their ability to deal with large volumes of items (products) in the ecommerce shop. I'm not sure they were 100% prepared to deal with 100k+ products for sale. Probably one of their original accounts. It was up and running in days and has been relatively smooth sailing ever since. Pros It was easy to implement, cost effective, user friendly and we have great Customer Service. Cons Occasional upgrades are cumbersome and have caused minimal disruption Reason for choosing SmarterCommerce Ecommerce Fixed fee cost, Quick implementation, JD Edwards compatible. I've never had an issue that wasn't rapidly solved or a question that wasn't answered. The product has been reliable, stable, and useful. I'm a one-man-show when it come to administering the system and it's been manageable for me. Pros The integration into our JD Edwards system is extremely valuable Cons Out-of-the-box manageability is somewhat limited. Cons Service team does not provide great support. Also, many of the basic features you would expect from an e-commerce platform are only available in upgraded packages. June 28, 2018 5.0 Its quick and easy Pros Ease of use with our JD Edwards ERP. Credit card processing implementation is a breeze. Support has been great. Cons Can't really think of anything. They are knowledgeable and have a solid product. We try to drive users to our website to order and this saves us phone and order entry time which in turn means we don't have to hire more people. The solution has kept pace with our business growth and we look forward to a long partnership with them. Pros This solution offers flexibility of design and use of modern software and widgets while integrating tightly to JDE and following all the rules and parameters of JDE. Unlimited options for design, hands off integration to PCI compliant credit card solution all following the flow and business rules already established in JDE. The solution is perfect. Cons New features and improved performance are being introduced regularly which is great but requires regular upgrades to take advantage of these new options.
