Director of Operations and Information Technology, Senior Manager Used the software for: 2+ years ### "SmarterCommerce Payment processing is the only fully integrated credit card solution for JD Edwards" July 23, 2018 5.0 Pros Overall, SmarterCommerce Payment Processing represents a sorely needed set of features and functionality for users of JD Edwards and does so by taking full advantage of the native capabilities of the system and providing end to end functionality. The software addresses all of the needs a business would have in processing orders with credit cards. We are among the earliest adopters of SC and have used it with great success for well over a decade. Cons Due to the nature of credit card processing, SC relies on connections to your payment gateway, and in the instance in which connectivity to these resources cannot be established, the JDE invoicing process could potentially be interrupted, however in today's world of reliance upon internet connectivity, this is no different than many if not most other products. They make upgrading smarter commerce and JDE easy. It is great having real time processing of payment so we know we will get our money. Pros Easy to get it up and running and easy to upgrade. They keep up with changes in the industry and add new features and flexibility all the time. Tightly integrated with JDE Cons I don't think we really have any complaints - it handles everything we want to do and new ideas we have that might not exist we can get customized, but the features often show up in future releases making upgrading easy to return to vanilla Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Project Mgr. The software performs efficiently and effectively and looks and feels like JDE programs from a user perspective. It is clear and easily understood, and the integration to the financials saves our staff significant time relative to daily credit card reconciliation; what used to take hours per week is down to minutes with SmarterCommerce. There is no regular maintenance or manipulation required within the setup of the software; it's "set it and forget it" feature makes it easy to manage. Pros It is seamless and offers the best security of our customers' credit card data. Having used other products in the past, this is the best fit for our system and our processing needs. Our users are very comfortable with accepting payments for orders, invoice payments and prepayments. Cons The system is available for all SO order types in JDE. It is not available for WO order types in JDE. An additional project needs to be done, which comes with an additional cost. I think the system should work for all JDE order types.
