### "cisco and networks"

August 23, 2018

5.0

As a telecommunications engineer, cisco has been the fundamental basis for my first job, and growing as a professional, currently as a network administrator on a personal level I have noticed that the Cisco platform is one of which has had fewer failures, the Compatibility of Cisco equipment with others is essential, when it comes to networks as large and complex as that of a Telecommunications company, this is clearly achieved by the standards to which the different protocols are governed ...

Pros

cisco is one of the best platforms worldwide, which develops and innovates new useful protocols for network communication, and its easy management and reobutes provides the security of being connected 365 days a year, I like that a Through its web platforms you can get the information you need to test the configurations in your Cisco Packet Tracer simulator, their teams are able to support the demands of any business network and a very robust and easy to manipulate OS once you have the basic knowledge of equipment configuration, both Firewall, Routers, and switches

Cons

I can not say anything negative about this software, since it has been part of my profession at the moment, and it is my specialization

### "Great product to get started, lacks other functionality"

February 2, 2021

4.0

It was cheap to setup and it did the function well, however as our business moved into bigger plans this product didnt have the functions that we required. If our business was the same back 2 years ago, this product would of done a sufficient job

Pros

\-Ease of use, it did the functions that we required at the time of Inbound and Outbound calling with reporting for Contact Centre metrics -Only had 1 or 2 incidents of technical errors in my 2 years+ of using the product

Cons

\-Lacks functionality. We had to purchase another software for dashboards and another function for call recording as it lacked these functions -Reporting wasn't customizable, we had to download them as CSV files then use Excel magic to create reports that was suitable

Reason for choosing Cisco Data Center

Sorry, wasnt part of the purchasing

### "Too many bugs"

May 17, 2017

3.0

Pros

Cisco ASR has plenty of features just too many bugs. It has plenty of features that i like. Easy to use!

Cons

Always finding new bugs. I can only hope that they can fix this problem in the near future. Other than that I am happy with the software.

### "Great Setup for Datacenter"

July 23, 2019

4.0

Very Complex setup but end results are worth it

Pros

Easy upgrade firmware on UCS. Able to seperate multiple networks with ease and allow certain vlans to pass over specific ports without complex cli commands via the web gui. You can customize each port to provide a specific function ex. network uplink, storage appliance, etc.

Cons

The Fabric interconnect is very picky about what sfp's you can use i have only been able to get cisco branded sfp's to work. none of the cisco compatible sfp's that i have come across have worked. I am unable to ping from the fabric interconnects to see if network is making it to the fabrics.

Reason for choosing Cisco Data Center

Vendor suggested the product and demonstrated the features that would fit our setup

### "Highly Scalable cloud networking solution"

August 7, 2022

5.0

I have used Cisco Data Center solutions severally and their robustness always stands out. From super-simplicity to top speeds, Cisco remains unmatched in the Networks dimension.

Pros

Provides a scalable Software Defined Networking Storage (SDN) storage. Superiorly optimizes network workloads. Cisco data Center SDNs greatly enhance application agility and data automation.

Cons

Acquiring Cisco data center products is quite costly.

### "Cisco Nexus Switches: Best Solution For Your Data Center"

October 23, 2020

5.0

Cisco Nexus Switches are the best in the industry. Most of my clients' data centers are supported by cisco nexus switches, especially Nexus 7700, Nexus 5600, and Nexus 2K. The switches support the need for high bandwidth, low latency, which are required speeds for modern data centers. The switches are utilized in all types of data centers from small to large data centers.

Pros

I have been supporting, implementing clients data center networks running cisco nexus switches for more than 5 years now, the devices are more robust and stable even under extreme temperature environment, even though running devices on high-temperature data centers is not recommended by Cisco. Python support. VPC, OTV, and VX-LAN support ISSU is available. Easy to use yet robust CLI. Powerful and stable hardware. True near line-rate speeds. Well supported and updated NX-OS software, great online support community, and best manufacturer support.

Cons

A lot of Linux based commands Very expensive data center solution Requires good knowledge of Cisco data center technologies

Reason for choosing Cisco Data Center

My clients did not consider other alternative products, they went straight to cisco products because they run cisco products on other sections of their networks.

### "With this tool I can get more control over the data center equipment."

June 16, 2018

5.0

Pros

I like the way in which I access the data center equipment and obtain from them the information that is needed in more defined times and optimizing the resources, without any doubt this tool goes back to the range of servers ucs, de-emphasizing the network infrastructure of the data center taking more control of the equipment there.

Cons

when implementing the software, there is a lack of help for the administrator when loading the equipment interfaces or the snmp communities present throughout the data center, sometimes presenting a bit of latency with respect to the platform that is implantng.

### "Cisco Data Center - Traditional Networking"

July 19, 2019

4.0

Easy implementation from a previous vendor going to a data centre class box, very stable and very little issues.

Pros

Cisco Nexus 9K data center switches are a great option to future proof the data center without going full out SDN. In addition the Nexus 9K offers value in the Nexus Data Center class switch.

Cons

Some early support of specific features (using QSA for example in place of 40/100G optics) was not supported at first but is now, other than that its typical Cisco.

Reason for choosing Cisco Data Center

Cisco fit the ecosystem (Cisco in the campus)

March 26, 2019

4.0

Pros

We have more than 30,000 employees that use Cisco on a daily basis. It's user friendly and Cisco provides great support when issues exist.

Cons

Rare, Occasional shut downs. Although rare, the outage is a great impact to our company and our customers. On the positive side, outages are usually short lived.

5.0

Pros

Cisco's got it going on. Their software solution platforms address the major and minor concerns of a business.

### "We use Cisco office phones here and it is amazing!"

August 15, 2017

5.0

Makes my job easier when I have a simple panel office phone to use everyday. All the buttons look intimidating but the phone itself is very easy to operate.

Pros

Very direct instructions, easy to use, user friendly and we love the various options. Answering and calling are very simple and I love that we have a large screen panel. Makes it easy to see every caller that is coming in.

Cons

Setting up the voicemail was hard for me. There are to many options. LOL you need passwords and pins for a lot of it and it's hard setting up if you are a new user that doesn't have those yet.

### "Cisco is great for recording content"

September 20, 2020

3.0

Great database for recording, storing, and screening call information.

Pros

My office uses Cisco to record out bound calls for quality and training purposes. I like the call log portion of Cisco, and the fact that I can set availability for my work line. The recordings themselves are easy to access for review.

Cons

I haven't noticed any cons for this software. My user id requires internet access for logging in. The only possible downside I can see would come from network connectivity issues, but it hasn't happened yet.
