Agantty is everything that most project management tools are not. Sexy, simple and effective. All those things were important to us and we missed them in most of the solutions we found out there. As we are usually a web agency, we were always looking for a really nice project management tool, which is low in cost to get some structure in our chaotic daily nerd business. I used it to delineate every academic article I was beginning to write. I use the tool to visualize, in a single view, how many months were devoted to reading, how many to drafting, and to specify when was the deadline to submit it. Agannty allowed me to combine the view of my whole research pipeline: when an article was about to be finished when another one could be initiated. In this sense, it was an excellent tool to plan the long run, a whole year, for example. Pros It was not the most gorgeous app, but it was good enough to enjoy all the benefits from Gantts timelines. You could have a clear project overview, distribute your tasks and interrelate them. It was easy to move tasks if there had any changes during your work. Flexibility is essential when dealing with Gantt charts. And, most notably for an individual user like me, it was the only free tool I could find. Cons I am aware that being free was a gift. However, the developers have recently decided to make Agantty a paid tool. It is not disproportionate expensive, but for a casual user like me... I am not sure if it is worthy. Switched from [ClickUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/158833/ClickUp/) The paid version of ClickUp (the version that includes Gantt charts) was too much for me. It is intuitive and allows to have a fast overview of the current stage of a project. Pros Straight forward and simple software with core project management functionality. Not overloaded with confusing features like some other tools. Easy to use and navigate. A good feature of the product is the downloadable version of the software that can be used on Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems in off-line mode. Cons The number of features available on the software might not be sufficient to operate more complex projects. The German language on the .com web page is annoying. The software is relatively new and due to this reason some bugs can be experienced. But as Agantty is offered free of charge these bugs are acceptable in this stage of product's life cycle. For me I would like to have this on hand to create more detailed project management and better bids. Pros I like the Gantt Chart for many projects but I don't like the fact that I can't see my time management in several formats. I like the simplicity of this and form small design teams this would work great but for large builds it is not better then projects. I do like the graphics and I find that it can be focus of task centric design but I can't sew if we are on track and make the adjustments in the same way that I can in projects. One of the great things about this software is that it is easy to learn quick to update and use for small builds and it certainly be my go to for projects I didn't expect to financially get out of control. Cons Everything I liked about it was relevent to what I don't like about it. It is focused and quick and my estimates an't be wide ranged and mapped in different directions for best guesstimate on directions. Its focus doesn't allow for the chart changes necessary to see different aspects of the same project quickly. Pros Easy to use, and to create clear GANTT charts with delineated responsibilities and clear milestone dates. Cons There are some key features missing, such as the ability to do repeating tasks. This is a great tool for mapping out large projects; when looking at it for my daily or weekly repeated tasks, I was left wanting more.
